Thornessa saw both Ketsueki and Freeda in better condition so she walked back to her cousin who was still testing her ear. She placed her hand over the ear and said softly, "Heal."
Cassie smiled and hugged Thorn around the waist. Magic was such a useful thing. She released her favorite cousin and skipped over to a grayish rock that was warm from the sun. She sat crosslegged and extracted the amulet from her body, again. She held it wonderingly in her hands as she enjoyed the feeling it sent through her.
