Kira smiled back and nodded. "I'm going to go swim now!" She cried happily. She looked at him and blushed slightly before running quickly away. Being a very modest person she ducked behind a rock and slipped off her pants before diving head first into the lake, going straight through the reflection of the moon. She went down deep, touching the bottom before come back up and splashing lightly at Shadow. "Come on in!" She called, laughing.

Shadow laughed as Kira splashed him so he decided to go in. "Alright. Just wait a minute." he said as he took off his shirt and ran to a rock near by. He then jumped off and doove into the water without a splash. "This is nice." he said as he resurfaced. "I like the water alot....how about you?" he asked as he splashed water at Kira, laughing the whole time.

"It's ok.." She laughed, blocking out the bad experience she had had with the water in the past and instead focusing on the good. She took a deep breath and dived back under, floating near the bottom. She reached out and touched a fish as it passed but it didn't run and instead swam up to her. She watched it, a smile spreading across her face before she resurfaced.

Shadow smiled as he watched Kira enjoy the clear water. "Just ok uh?" he asked as he too dove under water and looked around. He was stil amazed by it's beauty and when he resurfaced, he was smiling.

"Yes." She nodded, treading water. "The good experiences I've had with water aren't enough to outweigh the bad. It's close but not quite." She sighed before going back under to hide her eyes which were swirling blue again. She smiled sadly as a large school of fish swam around her under the water and she reached out, dragging her claws softly along their scales but not hard enough to hurt them.

"Oh...I'm sorry, I didn't know." he said with a slight look of shame on his face. He hadn't meant to poke fun at her. He was sorry about it. "I have a question for you.....you don't have to answer if you don want to though." he said as he looked her in the eyes. "What do each color that your eyes change to mean?"

His voice sounded funny from under the water and she laughed as she popped back up. "It's alright, I'll tell you." She smiled. "Green is the normal color for happy and stuff. Blue is sad, red is angry, pink is very embarassed, pale green is sick, grey is hurt..." She closed her eyes, thinking hard. "They turn silver when I look at the moon for some reason. If I'm feeling more than one at a time then the colors swirl together." She stopped and opened her eyes again and they glowed green. "But you're the only one I've told so you have to keep it secret." She teased, her real smile coming back.

Shadow smiled back at her and nodded his head. "Alright. You'v got my word. I won't tell a soul." he said as he lay flat on his back and began to float. He felt relaxed and carefree. "So long as you promise to never tell a soul that I cry." he said with a slight chuckle.

((Joy shut up, I am shy! Kira won't ever make the first move for something like that! ^^'))
"It's a deal, though everyone has to cry sometime..." Kira laughed as she recalled it and slightly blushed as she remember what she had done. Her eyes turned pink just like she had said and she dove quickly under the water again to hide it.

Shadow laughed as he watched Kira dive back under the water to hide her emotions. "you know you really don't have to worry about it. I won't laugh at you." he said as he watched her swimming under the surface.

Kira surfaced again and smiled. "I know... It's just how I am. I was exposed to too much as a child or something..." She laughed quietly, though this time her eyes swirled from pink to blue. She went under but stopped herself with her nose and above just out of the water, trying not to hide again as her silent tears mixed with the surrounding lake.

Shadow saw her eyes change to blue and knew that she was reliving some childhood memory. He didn't ask her what was wrong though because he kne wthat things like that were personal, and none of his business. But he did make sure that she was ok. "Are you alright? Is it something I said?" he asked.

Kira nodded and wiped her face. She took a deep breath and replied. "Yes. I was just... Thinking..." She sighed but smiled softly at him. "It's not you're fault. They just didn't except me because I'm not fully demon." She paused, unsure if he'd know what she was talking about and looked down.

Shadow smiled at her kindly. "I understand. You've got nothing to be ashamed of. They just didn't know you. didn't know how great of a preson you are." he said as he lifted her head with his hand gently. "They just never gave you a chance. There is nothing wrong with you just because you're not a full demon." he said softly.
