Dear fellow patrons,
Hello, I am Solomon Drake. I've come to join this guild for I love the elegant style of the Victorian Era, and for my newly kindled liking for the "Steampunk" genre of fiction. You may call me Drake, for short.

Greetings and salutations!
My name is Annie and I'm about 20 years old from Ol' Blighty. I've been interested in steampunk for a little while and I have a few outfits in my wardrobe that I bring out on special occasions. Outside of that though, my life is sadly devoid of anything steamy, only occasionally stopping back to read Brass Goggles or play Arcanum.
This is mainly due to funds and being insanely lazy and not possessing any practical skill whatsoever.
I find Steampunk so interesting because it's so... Well... Interesting! I love the style and the people and their attitudes and it gives so much creative and personal expression to a person. Plus, I've recently become very enamoured by the struggle of the proletariat during steamy times, the punky element of steampunk that I find very inspiring, as a great deal of victorian struggle still applies today in some form or another!
It's just a shame the UK has never really been one for revolts and revolutions outside of the Peasants one back in the day. =P

___________________________________________ Hello, good fellows. They call me AJ, but for the sake of keeping it short, let's keep it at that, hmm?
I recently found steampunk has always been a keen interest of mine, but before a few days ago, I didn't know it had a name. Now that I know, I can convert all my friends. Which makes me very happy.

Greetings! My name is Blackbird, I'm 20 years old and I hail from Georgia. I've long been interested in various steampunk-esque activities, society, and dress and even cosplayed at Dragon-Con in Atlanta as a steampunk mistress.
I think rusty gears should be added to EVERYTHING.

Hey, I'm Estranged Hatter, or Hatter for short. I have always been interested in gears, clocks, and the various futuristic, yet old-fashioned gadgets. I never knew what it was called until I googled it. I am also a fan of clockpunk. I love the Italian Renessaince and the Victorian Age. Maybe that's why I like Panic! At The Disco so much. The Pretty Odd album anyway. Well, I hope to learn more about steampunk here.

Hello. I'm Alison Miranda Adama. No, that's not my real name... yet. I'm seventeen. I absolutely adore Victorian Steampunk. I'm mildly excited about Cyberpunk. The Victorian Era makes me squee.
Adieu.

PROFILE FOR STARFLYER1 (cause it's my Styyyyle! XD)
NAME: I prefer Tia or Starflyer/Star.
Age: Mid 20's. But trust me, if you knew me you wouldn't think it were true.
Location: Florida. LA was too much of a hassle. SanFran was only for school. VT was much too cold. anything before that wasn't my choice.
Here for: I'm a writer for the Steampunk Graphic Novel, and I'm slowly learning about Steampunk. Please be patient with me. ^_^; I probably won't be posting much in the main section, but I may lurk around to get a better idea of the people here that I will be writing into the comic. <3
Likes so far about Steampunk: Airships are cool. Chivalry is awesome, and all the stuff you can do with gears and crystals rock!
Beware the writer... for with prose, come typos.
And I also love cookies. <3

i've been here for a while, lurking, but it seems i never managed to post an intro.
good day, ladies and gents. i'm leenie. nineteen. hailing from the texan capital. i very much enjoy adventure, pirates, the victorian era, and how things work. the diy aspect is just thrilling for me, as well.
a character of mine is in the works and is very much me as i would be in a steampunk world. soon enough, i will be making a thread for her in the character profile forum. and as soon as i get a new job, i'll be working on cosplay and the like.
actually, i cannot remember what originally got me into steampunk, but it must've been a great many things culminating in my love for it today. i can't describe every steamy thing i love, but i will say that the fashion and thought of adventure pulls me.
i would love to see anyone else from austin, or even the surrounding areas like san antonio. a meetup would be lovely, especially when it doesn't involve elysium, the 21+ alt. club which holds too many of the local steampunk events. (and, obviously, i can't go for another year and eight months. you can bet i'm counting down.)

Greeting Ladies and Gentlemen. I'm Kira, 24 (25 in early november though). I am more than happy to join this guild. I'm basically from France (Corsica, to be precise) but for now I live in the Montreal suburbs, in Canada.
I've always been a huge fan of historical costumes and when I discover the Victorian and Edwardian fashion I fell in love and realized I wasn't born during the right century lol.
I'm an artist, I draw comic. I hope that I will eventually do that for a living but right now I also work in a book store. As a comic artist, with 2 of my friends we started a fanzine called Darjeeling and which is Steampunk influenced. In this zine, we'll pubish a comic base on the Steampunk RPG we are playing.
Anyway, I hope this will suffice as an introduction ^^
Nice to meet you all!

Dear Gentlepersons,
I am Eleanor Falle and I come before your to humbly ask for your aquaintance. I am the authoress of a historical fiction novel which occurs primarily in the Victorian Era that I have dubbed "Anachronism". A most fitting name I believe!
While the Steampunk genre is not my forte nor main interest, as a Victorian 'fan' - it is something I come across often. In Second Life, I in fact live in Caledon - a Victorian Steampunk simulation. I have considered having a character in my novel dabble in Steampunk technology to add a bit of color though I'm still not certain.
Ah I babble - in any case, I extend well wishes to you all and hope to meet for tea at a later date. Please accept my calling card until then, cheers!
