Miki gave a soft smile and gave a nod “If you say so, Oniichan” she replied and pocketed her blade and waited for her brother. She was glad that she managed to impress him, considering his level as a world-champion blader. She dreamed to also go to that level but she needed to work hard. A person being impressed isn’t good enough. But it was ironic since she remembered one time, she manage to see the team of F-dynasty’s coach Romero, requesting a two on two match against the White Tiger X.
She was really fascinated by the thought of two male and female twins working together. She often wondered what it would be like if she battled with her older brother against Julia, who was apparently the older sister, and Raul Fernandez.
Miki couldn’t help but smiled wistfully and she started to daydream until she snapped back to reality by a familiar voice.
Kai didn't notice his sister's wistful look - he was preoccupied with watching both Kei and Diana; two different bladers, two different training and battling styles. This year's World Championship promised to be quite interesting.
Diana managed to beat around 60 and she dead tired. Her blade was still spinning but it was wobbling. 60 beyblades wasn’t enough. At the Balkov Abbey, it would keep coming until you can’t handle anymore. Harsh but effective. She wasn’t able to guarantee her when will be her limit but she had to know by the use of that kind of training.
Kei noticed this, and half-turned to the other brunette. "Diana-san? How are you holding up?" She knew better than to suggest that Diana take a rest; like Kai, she didn't seem the type to stop training even when she was dead-tired. She was worried, though, that one of them would collapse from exhaustion at some point; she didn't like that happening, to herself or to others.
”I see, I really enjoy hearing your words. You always come up with such good replies. I agree with you with Tou. But I do warn you, I once battled her back at the Abbey, she was a formidable foe. But it was because I never came to view. My mistress didn’t use my power to aid her. She used her raw beyblade and nothing else. But she is powerful so I warn you when you faced her in battle.” Akurei started to rub something on his cheek. It was a scar, he still didn’t want to reveal where he had it to Diana but she knew how he always strokes it when he is thinking deeply.
//Well, all the better,// Dranzer replied, smirking underneath his scarf. //I wouldn't want battling my twin to be any different from battling other bitbeasts...// The fire phoenix fell silent, reminiscing his group battle - the one where he'd teamed up with Draciel, Dragoon, and Driger - against his dark twin. Black Dranzer - Kuro Suzaku - was more of a clone, really, but the redhead didn't think it would be that much different. Or much harder.
Dranzer shook his head mentally; he'd nearly committed the mistake of underestimating Drizzard. Not only was it partially sexist, it was also unfair on his sister's part. He'd have to be careful about what he thought about Drizzard from here on end.

"The Tookaidou Shinkansen is now arriving. Kindly step back from the yellow line to allow passengers to alight."
There was a rush of air as the pristine white bullet-nosed train pulled into that particular line's Tokyo station. Another stiff breeze as the doors swooshed open, and a number of passengers stepped onto the platform. The stream of people was quickly replaced by commuters entering the train. An alarm beeped, warning passengers just arrived wishing to take the train not to attempt to get on board and risk injury from the doors that slid shut a few moments later.
Among the passengers who alighted was a dark brown-haired girl, dressed in a dark puce, cheongsam-based over-garment with slits running up to her hip. She wore shorts, dark gray-green in color, that came to mid-thigh, and gunmetal gray, knee-high boots. Dark sunglasses covered her eyes, and her hair was worn loose, hanging down her back. She reached into her hip pouch and took out a slightly-crumpled sheet of paper, glanced at it, and put it back.
"Now to find the BBA Headquarters, and if possible, the stadium as well..."

Maria sensed that someone was watching her but was relieved to see it was only her friend Keiji. She continued on before she would tell him that his watching skills were not enough though there was no need among themselves. She continued on her training cautious of her moves to not be suspicious but she was aware that Keiji knew more things that she herself knows about herself.
Keiji then remember a quote he once heard. “To suspect a friend is worse than to be deceived by him”. Among their business something like that was common. They didn't know that even they were tested by someone around. A good spy blends in and makes friends. He continued to watch her.
'It may be good if he knew' a though occurred in her mind hoping that if her friend did found out she might convince him to see Boris' true nature, but she pessimistically thought that it had the same bad chance as Kai considering her as a comrade

As Maria and Keiji were talking they were being stocked steathfully by Boris's newest agent Sho! Keiji was the mision, to stock gain intel on his actions. Sho saw a great opertunity to take both of them out. But Shinja sho's Bit beast offered a different plan, one more rewarding. She told him to tell Boris about Keiji, and to olimiate him when he gets back to the base. Then take Maria out of the picture later. Going back to HQ reminded Sho how much he hated the place. so he sat down at the mouth of an alley to ponder if what he was doing right. when he heard the voice of a friend say" Sho why you so blue? if you don't like whare you goin, stay where you at." "Pops you always say the right thing, but it is complicated this time!"said Sho to the bunny salesman Pops "I know. Remember if you want to win someone have to lose." " thats true, thank you pops. i know what i have to do." as Sho left jumping wall to wall up out of the alley. pops thought to himself "No, you know what you doin, not what you have to do!"

Maria went back to her body having a cold chill that someone else was watching them. She looked around but could not see anything.
"What's wrong?" Keiji asked.
"I am not sure but I felt someone else but maybe nothing."she answered going back to her training. She wondered who could it be, to be watching them.
'If it was a test then am I suspected it will not surely be Keiji. As Boris' son all the secrets he kept were mine. Oh I wish I can contact Diana but this may not be a threat to Miki.' she thought .
Soon she finished her training receiving a couple of scraches and due to the distractions not on the time she had hoped.

Miki, who just snapped back to reality, blinked and gently held on to her older brother’s hand “Oniichan, you ok? You seem quiet again”. Feeling slightly worried, she decided to try not to bother him when he was thinking. She knew from a fact that her brother doesn’t like to be interrupted whenever he is thinking deeply. He always was concentrating. A simple distraction could make him falter. Miki knew better than to try and destroy his thinking.
But sometimes, she couldn’t help worry about him all the time. She knew she didn’t have any right since he was stronger emotionally than her. But her concern for him never seems to fade. …until a certain voice said something to her inside her mind…resulting to a stream tricking down her cheeks.
Diana forgot something and narrowed her eyes. But she gave a silent reply to Kei “I’m…fine..” She managed to grit the reply out of her teeth since she was seething. Something she heard about a certain blue-haired boy. Her eyes returned to their fierce blood red color and something snapped inside her…that caused her to tighten her fist.
MESSAGE: WHAT THE HELL DID YOU MEAN BY THAT HUH, HIWATARI?! Just because Miki is your sister, you expected her to be talented!??! You little egotistical sexist jerk! Miki worked all her life to show off in front of you and then this is all she gets??! “She is your sister, what do you expect from her..” Ooh I oughta unleash your nightmares that even you can’t possibly imagine of dreaming! And I don’t want to listen to your pathetic excuses to try that you meant another thing… Because Miki already knows.. END MESSAGE
Kai was about to make his way over to Kei - he figured he'd give her a few instructions - when suddenly, there was that sharp, shooting pain again. On top of that, there was intense pressure on his chest, and he couldn't quite get enough air. Then Diana's message practically stormed into his mind. Well, the brunette needn't have told him not to give any excuses; the slate-haired teen was trying hard not to fall over from the intense pain. The instant the pain began, though, he knew that he'd screwed up big time, and it took just that one line - just four, innocent-sounding words - to remind him just how bad a mistake he'd made.
Now, if only Diana would stop whatever it was she was doing to him, so that he could apologize and explain!
Miki couldn’t stop the sadness overwhelming her. Was that all that Kai thought of her? All her life, she bore the weight of always being a copy of her brother. But Kai told her that she was her own self and no one else can change it. But what Diana had just told her proved her wrong. Kai..the older brother she always admired and loved…thought like her grandfather. He also thinks that he expected her to be like him…like him…Inside her mind, all she felt was sadness, betrayal, despair and anger.
Sadness…for the thought of the same words of her grandfather continued to emit through her. Betrayal…that her brother who acted like status didn’t matter spoke those words, that man once said. Despair…by the thought of all her hard work was wasted into nothing by the mere sentence of her twin. Anger…for mere betrayal of her brother whom she cherished and toyed with her feelings and love. But now…she finally came to realize a fact…that she was weak. She was always weak from the very beginning just like what her grandfather had always told her. She was weak without Kai…she was helpless without Kai…That Kai would always come rescuing her like a helpless damsel in distress. She would always be second rate…and she was expected to be like her brother..
And her brother thought the same as well… Endless streams continue to flow as they fall to the ground and broke into tiny droplets of salty puddles. She didn’t want to believe but Diana was never known to lie to her. Trembling from sadness, she took her blade and dashed out of the room, her hands clasped to her eyes…trying to prevent the further flow of her tears.. Diana watched in sadness as her best friend ran outside. She looked at Kai and gave him her deadliest glare..and her eye color returning back to their frightful color of demonic black once more.
As suddenly as it had come, the pain disappeared, and Kai leaned against the machine behind him, fighting the urge to gasp. He turned to where his sister had stood last, only to find her gone. Miki-!
In trying not to faint or slump to the floor - or whatever else one was likely to do when that... 'thing' was done to you - Miki had run out of the room, heading somewhere he had no way of knowing. Still, he had to try to find her.
When Diana tightened her fist, as though grabbing onto something and squeezing it hard, Kei immediately took notice. After all, that was the action she'd dreaded being done when she was the target. So... why was she-?
The brunette turned, following the other girl's burning gaze. And gasped involuntarily when she saw the rather dramatic scene unfold in front of her. Miki turning away from her brother and then running out, tears glittering the light. Kai, suddenly frozen in his tracks with an unintelligible expression on his face. From the way his eyes had suddenly seemed to focus, yet not focus on something very far away, she knew...
And, only moments later, when Diana's gaze had turned onyx - that chilling black with its hard look - once more, and she'd loosened her grip, Kei got her confirmation. In her overprotectiveness, Miki's friend had done the same thing to the slate-haired teen as had been done to her. Worried, she went over quickly, ready to help Kai to a bench or wherever, whether he liked it or not.
It was no good; he was still breathing heavily. Kai cursed under his breath as he took a step forward, towards the door - and nearly fell over. How was he supposed to catch up to Miki in this condition. "Dammit, Murphy..." he muttered darkly, and was about to force himself to take another step, no matter how shaky. Then, something - no, someone was trying to support him, prop him up. Out of habit, Kai pulled away, and again nearly fell over. Whoever it was that tried to help only followed after, catching him and somehow managing to support him proplerly this time. The crimson-eyed teen glanced sidewards and spotted Kei.
"I'm fine, Hiyomura," he muttered, wishing that she'd take the hint and step back, leave him to his [fumbling] efforts to give Miki chase.
Kei got the message, all right, but stubbornly refused to pay attention. "You're not fine, Kai-san," she returned quietly, her face blank somehow. "I can tell you want to go after Miki-san, but regrettably, you are in no condition to do so." Before Kai could even say something, the amethyst-eyed blader went on. "I don't know what exactly happened, but from what I saw... well, you need to talk to her. I'll go after her; you stay here."
With that, without waiting for her trainer and teammate's approval, she stepped back - Kai was near the bench now, anyway - and then she, too, made a beeline for the door, pausing only briefly outside of it to glance left, then right; she quickly decided to head left, hoping that she'd find the blue-haired girl. Fast.

Drizzard got alarmed and shouted “Mistress? MISTRESS!” She knew what happened and loathed her brother’s master for breaking her mistress’s heart. But right now she couldn’t feel any hatred for him because Miki’s condition was more in concern for her.
”Brother, your master’s thoughts sickened me…he brought forth suffering to my mistress…talk to him to comfort her since I couldn’t possibly kill your master for you will be out of the job..right now I need to make sure my mistress is safe…”
Diana, who was left with the blue-haired male, continued with her still gaze at him, glaring heatedly. Akurei , Dranzer and Drizzard were one of the others with her.
“I was right from the beginning…you don’t deserve to protect Miki…” she silently muttered to herself, not really caring if he heard her or not. Meanwhile, with Miki…
----------------------------------
She decided to run to the one place where she always loved to go whenever she was sad. The riverbank…where she made her pinky promise with her brother when they were still very young. Miki gently dried her tears as she sat quietly by the grass, bringing her legs to chest.
She still was mad at Kai for saying such things. But somewhere in her mind, she still believes her brother will have a good explanation why he said such things to her. Tears were threatening to come again but she blinked them back and went to stare at the moving blue waters of the river.
---------------------------------
Akurei just gave a frustrated sigh and leaned back to the wall with a frown on his face “Such pitiful drama…” he muttered and closed his eyes and crossed his legs and arms. It was clear he didn’t want to act like a shoulder to cry on.
Dranzer just frowned at his sister's remark, then went over to where Kai was now seated, apparently catching his breath. "Kai?" he began, reaching a hand out to the crimson-eyed blader. "What...happened? Drizzard said something about your thoughts...is that why Miki-san just ran out?"
Kai slapped his bitbeast-turned-human's hand away, although it wasn't as forceful as he would have liked; he was still recovering, he supposed.
He'd heard Diana's comment just moments ago, though he gave no sign of it. In truth, it stung pretty hard. And Dranzer reminding him of it, somehow... well, it was uncomfortable.
He stood up, albeit a bit shakily, and made for the door once more. He felt like he knew where Miki had gone, and he needed to go to her and make amends, somehow.
"I...I don't want to talk about it just yet, Dranzer," he said finally, trying not to sound as breathless as he felt. "I have to find her first..."
With that, he dashed the rest of the way to the door and out of it, nearly stumbling once he'd taken only a few steps into the corridor. Dammit, Hiwatari! he thought savagely as he slumped against the wall outside. You've REALLY done it this time! Now get after her!
If only it were that simple. He was still recovering, and he knew, just from that short dash, that he didn't have quite the strength he knew he needed running from the HQ to the river - which is where he felt Miki would be.
--------------------------------
Kei was taking the bayside pathway now, less than a 2-minute run from the BBA Headquarters where she'd left Kai and Diana and the human bitbeasts. The brunette didn't know why she thought she'd find Miki by following the pathway; she wasn't really thinking.
And neither was Miki, probably, when she dashed off... the amethyst-eyed blader reflected. Of course, she could be wrong, but there was no harm in speculating.
Pretty soon, the path turned inwards, away from the bay and towards the river that led to it. Still Kei followed the path...
And was rewarded moments later when she spotted a familiar figure, hunched on the riverbank. Her face lit up, and she ran towards the person she knew was huddled there. She didn't dare call out - very bad form - waiting instead until she was practically behind the other girl. Then, she crouched down next to the blue-haired teen and laid a comforting hand on the pale shoulder.
"Miki-san?" she began gently, a small, worried smile crossing her features. "Kai-san is worried about you. Are you..." Kei cut herself off, mentally shaking her head at her wrong choice of words, and then began again.
"Do you feel like talking to him? I think that would help..."

Drizzard silently went to search for the familiar thoughts of her young mistress as she closed her eyes, deep in concentration. It was one of the perks for being a bitbeast, being able to track down your owner by searching their thoughts.
She managed to locate her and decided to help her brother…even if she was reluctant to, considering how hurt she was by his words. “Kai…as you felt…she is by the river currently with the fox-wielder. I didn’t want to help you at first but seeing as you are the only one who knows her as much..Please..i beg of you to comfort her..”
Anyone else would probably have been surprised, had they been in Kai's place: leaning against a wall, trying to make it out of a certain building in search of a younger sibling - or slightly younger, in this case - when a telepathic message arrives out of the blue. But the slate-haired teen was more or less inured to this occurence, and he took it matter-of-factly.
//...all right, Drizzard. At least I won't spend my time wondering if my hunch was right...// Yes, Kai Hiwatari was still a bit... iffy when it came to thanking others. But he was thankful for the confirmation courtesy of his bitbeast's ice-wielding twin. Emboldened now, he decided to try and make a break for it, breathless as he was. This was no time to 'hold back', regardless of what consequences it may entail.
Kai counted down in his mind, and when he reached '0', he made a beeline for the doors, pushed through them, and pounded down the familiar, though invisible path to the river.
------------------------------
Miki looked at her side and saw a familiar pair of amethyst colored eyes looking at her with her hand on her shoulder. Kei was worried for her…she felt it. But as the answer for her question, she simply looked back at her gaze to the silent waters and gave a sad sigh.
“I don’t know…” she whispered as she hugged her knees tighter to her. “I don’t know if I want to…but…I feel like I want to but I also feel like I don’t want to…I am confused…” she quietly added as some tears trickled down her cheek as she hugged herself more.
It was then…she heard silent footsteps crunching the blades of grass underneath and looked away. She already know who it was walking towards them…
Kei heard the footsteps, too, and she turned, very nearly smiling when she saw who it was.
"Kai-san!" He'd made it! Apparently, he thought it would be better if he came to get Miki himself, rather than having his only female teammate run after his sister and bring her back. Frankly, Kei didn't care that she'd gone all this way only to not really be of much help; she preferred that the twins talk it out with little to no outside intervention.
Immediately, she moved away from the blue-haired girl and stood a respectful distance away, to give the two some semblance of privacy.
It was very minute, but it was there all the same, Kai's nod of acknowledgement - and thanks. This he aimed at the brunette, who now stood a few feet away, before he approached his slightly younger twin and knelt down beside her.
"Mit-chan..."
At the sight of the tears still trickling down the girl's cheeks, everything he'd planned to say seemed to vanish, and Kai was rendered speechless. It struck him only now as to just how bad his screw-up had been.
"Miki... I-I'm sorry... I let my thoughts get away with me..." he started over, a little helplessly and lost for words. He didn't glance at her now, slightly ashamed of his deed. Would a simple apology and a pathetic excuse be enough? He didn't think so.
"I...I guess all the time I spent with Grandfather... his words somehow got embedded in my mind, even when I didn't want them to. But... don't get me wrong; I don't expect you to be skilled or talented or any of that BS. If you are, its through your own merit, not just because we're related, not just because you're my sister..."
He swallowed. Damn, he was babbling now; not a good sign. "And... if I ever did expect anything from you, it was that you were determined - or stubborn in the worst-case scenario. That is what kept you going, what prevented you from stopping your solo training sessions..."
He sighed. What use was it, explaining himself?
Nothing, that's what. He messed up, and no words could justify that to anyone, even his sister. Even to himself.
The slate-haired teen fell silent, waiting for Miki's response.

on the way back to the labs, he had to jump biulding to building, roof to roof. taking advandage of the pit sight of Shinja and her extra sensitive hearing. listening to the crowds below, the hustle and bustle of the city life. running as fast as he could to the base on the other end of the city. Shinja asked"What about the river?" "the cables above the bridge. dah, you are pretty dumb for a queen." Shinja looked away for a moment "Shinja you hag, are you trying to kill us!" "no sweatdrop " sprinting a few more blocks they arived to a hotel in the way. "hope you like going up Shinja" shinja not paying attention from having a weird feeling. "what stressed " finally noticing the giant building in the way. "oh" going balcany to balcany, they ran out after the third jump. Sho tried runing up the face of the building losing momentum. barly making it to the ledge grabbed he was suprized. climbing over he needed a breather. sho what are you doing lets go, get up. "hay that was a hike! give me five." "ok 2-3-4-5. now can we go?" "yea. next time make it three ok"running down the front of the hotel sho was not noticed. greatly suprizing with the small crowd there. "Jump!" landing on the telephone wire, they made it about half way before Shinja started to focas on some thing. "wake up i am trying to balance here!" snapping back she was woundering about who the three people were walking out from under the bridge. she stared out at the people again. whack! she felt a falling sensation. landing on his face out of breath he yelled at her aloud with all his might "we just tripped over an electrical post because i could not see! any reason why?" "yea there were two super strong bladers walking out from under the bridge." "oh, that makes everything better stressed "

Miki was still silent, almost to the point that she wasn’t listening to Kai but she managed to hear his words. She senses the shame Kai feels…and he was saying sorry for it. She was the type to forgive easily…but she was still doubtful about everything. Sure Kai use to tease her and say some things she often didn’t like but right now, what he just thought was the worst one and affected her greatly. He knew that she was sensitive about her self-esteem. She still didn’t know if she wants to forgive Kai…let alone reply to him…
Gently shifting herself from the ground, she quietly let her arms drape around her brother’s torso and laid her head on his chest. Deciding the end the silence she quietly whispered “I forgive you…Oniichan…even if what you said really hurts. I’m sorry..that..i got so angry…and doubtful what you just said…meant anything…”
Hugging tighter, she whispered once more before letting her weight drop to her brother…“I still care for you..” and tightened her grip once more.
Kai sighed - a mix of relief and sadness - upon hearing the blue-haired teen's words. He wanted to hug her back, and he would have, had he been sure Kei wasn't watching from where she stood. Instead, he contented himself with stroking his sister's back gently, like he'd seen either their mother or their father - he wasn't sure which one now - had done when they were little, and one was upset.
"If you're still mad at me, I understand," he said now. And it was true; he did understand. It was the forgiving part of Miki that had him baffled. How anyone could be so ready to forgive and forget - it stumped the crimson-eyed teen. "But, I just want you to know this: I didn't mean for what I said - rather, thought, to sound that way. I wasn't expecting you to be skilled like me, but determined; we're both like that, don't you see? When faced with the challenge of beating your own time, I recognized that...spark Grandfather saw in me, yet somehow failed to see in you..." He stopped, cutting himself off. Again, another pathetic attempt at defending himself. Why couldn't he just give up?
Of course, Kai knew the reason. He couldn't stand the thought of his sister comparing his thoughts to that of their grandfather - and thinking them to be similar. He wanted nothing more than to be a separate being from his elderly guardian, in thought as well as deed. And this... well, it was certainly a huge step backward from reaching that particular goal.
From a few meters off, towards the west, the dark brown-haired girl from the train station spotted the three teens on the riverbank, and gave an inaudible sigh of relief. She hadn't run into anyone who wasn't in too much of a hurry to give instructions, so seeing three people - a boy and two girls - who seemed not to be doing much of anything, was a godsend.
She hurried over, opting not to go near the two blue-haired teens sitting nearer to the river, going instead for the girl in black who stood away from the pair - the girl who was hugging the boy looked familiar somehow. Once level with the girl, who was just slightly shorter than her, she reached out and tapped her lightly on her shoulder. "Excuse me...is this a bad time?" she asked, lowering her voice.
Kei smiled. She couldn't hear much of anything, but from Miki's actions, she hoped that things would get patched up. She didn't really know what it was like to have a sibling, but knew that there was no worse thing than a rift between relatives, particularly those who should have been close to you, such as a parent, a sibling, or one's own child.
But then she felt the tap on her shoulder, and turned around, to come face-to-face with an older-looking girl with dark sea-green eyes and dark brown hair. She hadn't heard her come up - a little unsettling. Nonetheless, she shook her head. "No, not really. But is something wrong? First time in Tokyo?"
A shake of the head, auburn hair swaying slightly with the motion. "No, I've lived here before, but I might have gotten my directions mixed up. I just got here from Osaka, and..." she trailed off, then began again. "Has the Beyblade Association Headquarters moved?"
It was Kei's turn to shake her head. "W-ell... depending on when you last lived here, it may have. Or it may not have been moved at all. In any case, you could come back with us, once these two -" here, the brunette motioned towards the brother and sister on the bank "- finish patching things up." She gave a sheepish grin. "I'm sorry, but I'm really bad at giving directions..."
A small, fleeting smile that didn't quite reach the green orbs. "Mondai nai, matte'ru no..."
Where had she seen those two - the blue-haired teens - before?

Miki gave a soft smile, almost giving a soft laugh as she listened to her older brother. It was true that one should be confused why someone should be forgiven so easily. She also had herself confused of why she just forgave him as easy as that. But still…she may look like the type to forgive but for Kai…
“Oniichan…I’m not mad at you anymore. I do admit I still am a little offended when you said that. But I know I can never get that mad at for you too long. You are the only one I have now…Grandfather isn’t really much of a family to us so you are the one I have left.
"I know what Diana did was wrong but understand that she knew my hardships in the Abbey and she helped and lost her trust towards others who seem to be a threat to me. Even if it was you, she still wants to protect me. I know…that we both were separated for so long…and I know what it feels when someone you barely now remember pops in back to your life and says she is your relative.
"We know each other by our own childhood memories. Even I don’t know how much you changed since I know you went to the Abbey after I did. It is still uncomfortable for both of us…but I understand that it is unpredictable of how sensitive I would have been. Like how I reacted just now…and also…”
She brought herself up more to lay her head on her older brother’s left shoulder this time and showed her smile. “Grandfather thinks I am weak since I got Mom’s traits…unlike you, you are attached to Dad, who is Grandfather’s son. So it’s only natural he thinks that you have the true Hiwatari blood like he does. And Big brother…”
She paused for a moment and continued “You will never be like Grandfather…because you took care of me. That’s a big difference enough for me...”
Try as he might, Kai couldn't figure out how exactly Miki knew his fear - that he would turn out to be like Voltaire. He didn't think she could read his mind - at least, not without him knowing it - but something told him not to jump to conclusions about his sister's abilities.
Still, it was even more relieving to hear her speak so... calmly. Like nothing had happened between them. And, though he couldn't see it, the slate-haired teen could tell she was smiling. That was always a good sign for him.
He pulled away, gently, and stood, at the same time holding a hand out to help Miki up. "Come on," he said, by way of reply. "You can train some more if that's what you want, but what exactly you'll be improving...I'll leave that up to you."
--------------------------------
Drizzard softly smiled and went back to her phoenix brother “I am happy to see my mistress all better. Your master has his extraordinary ways to soothe her troubles…at least I know she is in good hands...”
Dranzer said nothing, but his suddenly relaxed expression said plenty: he was glad, too. Though quite aggressive, the fire phoenix had never been one to condone 'arguments' between relatives, particularly these two - he didn't consider Voltaire as 'family', as he'd never treated either of his grandkids as such - and it was good that it had taken a little time for affairs to be mended.

Maria sat down after a hard training. She tended herself as usual having no power to heal herself.
Keiji went back to train a bit waiting for his friend to get back to training having a spoiled entertainment.
Maria took her time on herself for her next meeting with Kai and to be ready for anything to happen. Trouble usual came unexpected even though she could sense them she didn't like to fight tired or to give them a chance to take advantage of her wounds having met someone who can give off poison in the air but vulnerable only to those with open wounds.
She with her whole will the urge to go look for her Kai again, but fought it wish not to do something unnecessary that would cause him to think less of her again not thinking of the fact that she was just partially injured. She sat leaning upon the wall replenishing her energy. She did not find anything interesting in watching Keji or other things aside from Kai. She took a short nap.

Miki just gave a small nod and took him by the hand, letting herself stand by her twin. The smile never faded from her lips, her expression still the same. Of course, only her brother had the capabilities to ask her to continue her training.
She replied “Etou, I think…I want to continue with your training Oniichan. I trained by myself all the time but I never had someone’s outside opinion before if I was doing it right or wrong. So I don’t know if I can handle pointing out the mistakes on my own. I hope it is alright with you...”
That part was partially true but another part can be said that she wanted to spend more time with Kai. Even if it means just in training while he is acting as her trainer. But still, in a couple of weeks…her brother will be one of the top competitors in the tournament.
She knew she and Diana had to get another member before the tournament and register. Kai knows she was eager to battle him but also, at the same time…she was also anxious of her performance in her future battles.
He saw it; Kai knew that look. Miki was once more worrying about something to do with the tournament. Well, it was going to be her first official one, so that was understandable. He'd been worried too, before - though he didn't think his twin would believe him if he told her.
"You don't want to rest yet, do you, Miki?" he said in reply - it was more of a statement than a question. "Sou~... I'll just increase the difficulty level, then." True, they had that option earlier, but in his concern for Miki, Kai had forgotten about the difficulty levels one could program into the training apparatus they'd used.
Kei, still smiling, turned to the brown-haired teen next to her. "Omatase shimashita... something... happened between these two - they're siblings, by the way. I just came along to make sure they were patching things up okay..."
Again, she shook her head; she didn't mind waiting. So these two are brother and sister... - just as she'd thought. And the girl is ...Miki...
Sea-green eyes darkened, thoughtful, as the brown-haired newcomer sought to remember. Why does that name sound so familiar? She prided herself on her photographic memory - which had helped her quite a lot in the past - and was frustrated that she was having difficulty recalling something so simple.
Suddenly, the brunette remembered, and mentally slapped herself for forgetting so easily. She turned to the other girl and offered a hand. "I'm Hiyomura Kei, by the way." Might as well introduce herself; the size of the pouch the dark lavender gray-clad girl carried at her hip was around big enough to carry a launcher. Besides, the girl wouldn't be looking for the BBA headquarters if she wasn't a blader - especially with the tournament coming up.
Introductions so soon? She shrugged it off - to each his or her own - and took the proffered hand in a firm grip, then let go. "Kurozuki Houka."
------------------------------
Diana was still practicing herself crazy until she decided to go to the bench and took a cool off. She still was pissed at Kai but this didn’t went unnoticed by a certain dark bit beast.
”So Mistress, still fuming over the young wielder of Suzaku?”
”What do you think Akurei…He hurt Miki..again
“Well there isn’t much you can do because the young twins have reconciled once more. Don’t you think you are going too far with this, Mistress. The young male wielder seems to irk you in every way”
“I just want to protect Miki…”
“Still…as much as I hate to say it…the young male Hiwatari is her older brother. He may not have been with her for 8 years…but she is more attached to him than to you.”
“Hn…*sigh* I guess so…Miki is a really sweet and understanding girl…She was hurt enough and I was so afraid of making her experience that kind of pain again..”
“I assure you Mistress…Suzaku’s wielder knows how to make a solemn vow. He will never break it…as per se the vow is guarding his sister’s welfare and ensuring her happiness.”
Diana looked at her blade and decided to concentrate once more…and her eyes shown back to the blood red color again.
MESSAGE: Kai…I’m sorry if…I went overboard with the…You not deserving Miki anymore. I guess I am just so scared to lose Miki to a complete stranger that I went too protective of her that I even activated my blood flow ability on you way too much. I care for Miki a lot as well.
I broke your promise about us working together to make Miki happy. It’s just…I was the one who helped her those 8 years and I got mad when she waited for so ong for you and you never bothered to search for her since you were too wrapped up with the Russian Tournament. And your obsession with power that you even agreed to search for bit beasts for your crackpot a*****e of a Grandpa.
I’m really sorry…I just hope you don’t take it personally. Miki is such a precious girl and I just want to see her happy. But I can see, she finds comfort with you. Even if you and her still need a few recaps with each other. But still…I warn you…She’ll give you a hell of a competition in the tournament. END MESSAGE
------------------------------
Down by the river, Kai was about to walk off with Miki in tow when Diana's apology came through. He grinned, just a bit, and sent a message of his own right back.
//Dou demo ii. Miki o mamoru dake hoshii; wakatta na. If I were you, I'd probably do the same thing, anyway.//
Hoping that the mental link was cut now, the crimson-eyed teen turned back to his twin, and held out his hand once more. "Ikuzo, Mit-chan..."
((Translation: "Whatever. Anyway, you only want to protect Miki; I can understand that."))

Miki took hold again of her brother’s hand and was about to walk with him until she heard voices. Turning her head towards the sounds, her crimson eyes widened as she saw an auburn-haired girl talking to familiar fox-wielder. “Houka?” She whispered in a surprised gasp, silent…but clear for everyone to hear.
--------------------------------
Diana just shrugged and decided not to bother Kai anymore. Until she felt a familiar presence in her mind and also widened her eyes then narrowed them into slits. “She’s here…” she muttered and decided to check if her hunch was correct.
MESSAGE: Kai, is there by any chance a girl with dark brown hair nearby with sea-green eyes? END MESSAGE
Diana didn’t know but the familiar presence of energy struck her and she needed someone to confirm it for her. If it was really her….then there is no doubt…she is the final one.
--------------------------------
When Diana's next message came, the small grin on Kai's face faded away, to be replaced with a slight frown. He was pretty sure no one else was beside - or behind - him save for Miki, so...
He glaanced towards where he'd seen Kei standing, and sure enough...
//Yeah, Murphy; she's standing next to Hiyomura right now. Is this important?//
Call it over-protectiveness, paranoia, or what have you; ever since that little incident with Sayka, the slate-haired teen was being very careful about whom he allowed to come near Miki. His female teammate was an exception, as she'd certainly proved herself to be trustworthy. This auburn-haired girl, however... he wasn't so sure. She had a familiar expression on her face, one he knew he'd seen somewhere, but couldn't place.
Kei, unaware as she was of Diana's telepathic message to her teammate and trainer, turned to Miki, a bit surprised. "Eh? Miki-san, how do you-"
"... you know my name." Houka said calmly, head cocked a bit to one side, like a curious bird. She took a step forward, focusing on the blue-haired girl's eyes. She knew she'd seen Miki somewhere before, but...
Green orbs widened, realization struck. "You... you're that girl I saw in-!" Houka cut herself off, not wishing to unleash the flood of memories she associated with that place...
Kai was on his guard now. There was only one other place - aside from kindergarten - where Miki may have run into this auburn-haired teen, and that was Balkov Abbey. If that was the case...
"What do you want?" he cut in abruptly, not a little wary.
Kei answered for the dark brown-haired girl, anxious to avoid another 'misunderstanding'. "Kurozuki-san just wants directions to the BBA headquarters; I didn't tell her directly since I'm not sure which street it's on..." she blushed a little, embarrassed at having let slip the fact that she herself wasn't familiar with the address of a place she went to practically every day.
Kai gave her a look - one of disbelief (I'd be more careful if I were you...) - then turned his attention back to the green-eyed newcomer. "I'd rather hear it from you... Kurozuki, is it? Well, is what Hiyomura said true?"
Houka smirked, just a little. Already she could see that Miki's older brother had one true weakness - Miki herself. She could understand that, really; it was just... amusing to see in another.
"Yes, I just need directions. She told me that the three of you were headed back there, anyway, so I decided to wait."
