"Toaster peanut butter sandwich." At least it was two pieces of bread. And he could give Kaleb one of the little bottles of chocolate milk he'd picked up.

Kaleb shook his head. "I-I wouldn't be able to eat that much. Toast with peanut butter and a bit of fruit?" It sounded too much like haggling, but Kaleb didn't want Riley making him more than he could eat. At least with fruit he could put away whatever he couldn't finish and get to it later.

"I just can't," Kaleb said with a bit of a pout, getting up onto his knees on the couch so he could peer over the back and watch Riley in the kitchen.

He shook his head and when the toast popped up dug out the peanut butter. He had an apple sliced up on a plate to go with it. Once the toast was covered in peanut butter he dug out a bottle of chocolate milk for Kaleb and brought the stuff out to the couch.

Kaleb watched curiously as Riley brought out his breakfast, along with something from the fridge he couldn't quite make out because of the way Riley was holding it. He turned around and sat back down, being careful not to bump his ankle as he did so.

He set the plate and bottle down on the table and flopped down on the couch. "Breakfast is served"

The moment Kaleb recognized what was in the bottle Riley had brought out, he squeaked with delight and practically launched himself at his partner to give him a hug. "You got me chocolate milk!"

"Ack!" he caught his partner as he was hugged. "it's just chocolate milk" He couldn't figure out how something like that deserved a hug.

Kaleb grinned happily and didn't let go. "But you don't drink chocolate milk, which means you got it for me!"

"But you didn't have to," Kaleb said, looking up at him with a lopsided grin. The thought that Riley paid enough attention to know what his favorite drink was and then actually went and got some for him, that was what made the little mage smile so much.

"Well ya drink it all the time so i figured ya'd like it fer breakfast." He shrugged slightly. It was weird that something like that made Kaleb so happy.

Kaleb nodded enthusiastically. He kind of wanted to drink the chocolate milk right then, but he was too delighted to go about doing it. "You were going to get something to eat too, right?" he asked, still clinging to his partner.
