"Energy..?" Scribblez blinked, "What's that? I have a lot of..." she thought a bit, then held up her arm again and grabbed hold of the blue-ish hair that grew there, "of fur!"

She giggled, and then as if she'd forgotten what she was giggling about she stopped and asked excitedly, "Wanna color with me?!!"

((Ohh yay!

That sounds great! I'll go ahead and post Dillan for you. Reply anytime you're ready, Zan.))

Dillan sat at his kitchen table. It was a lop-sided thing, just like the rest of his house. His head was propped up on his hand and he sighed. This was a boring sort of day.

Dillan loved to go out and find mischeif, but some days he sat alone in his home, just thinking...just remembering. It was Jelly. She was on his mind again. He'd loved her, it was no question, and he still just could not figure out why she'd ditched him like that so long ago...

It had been a long time. Too long perhaps. A sickeningly long time and her heart was heavy with guilt. At the time, she had done the only thing she could think to do. Cowardice gripped her, and a fleeting desire took her to her feet in a flurry. And as quickly as she had devoted herself to another, she was gone. Commitment as fickle as the wind on a cloudy day. But it was not over, simply could not be over. After a long time of wandering, and arguing with herself to return, she found that her feet had done the thinking for her.

She stood barefoot, her dress worn and heavily frayed now. Not nearly as beautiful and luscious as it had once been (nor as clean either.) Her hair, at least, was combed. Far longer than before, it ran to her ankles and she had tied it into an unruly braid, eyes shimmering with thought when she came to the realization of where she was. Her face paled a little, turning her light blue face into something more cloudy. Emotions washed over her and her lace gloved hands went to her chest.

What would he say? Would he hate her? Had he found someone else? Could he forgive her?

The last was the most important of them all. Despite her trickery in prior years, she had changed to something slightly different in recent light, though not by much. Things just weren't as fun anymore. Stepping forward, she wrapped courage around herself, stood a little straighter, and gave a slight tilt to her head.

"Dillan..." she whispered as she knocked on his door. This home... this place that should have been her home to. This place she should have stayed... so very long ago.

((Pookie is so cute all growed up XP))

Landon had to blink all the sudden realizing his little sister was not so little anymore. "Even if it happened I wouldn't let it with out hearing an ear full from me. Or us."

"What do you have in mind dear?" She spoke in a sultry whisper. She had forgotten what it was like being held by him. It was the only time she let her guards down and willing vunerable. In his arms she didn't need to be protective and let him be it for her.

Dillan lifted his head slightly. What was that? A knock at the door? For a moment, he just sat there, unsure of what to do. It had been so long since he'd had a visitor. These days, he'd mostly kept to himself, and he never invited anyone over. The house could hold the company, now. Even after Jelly had left, he'd still built onto the home in the hopes that she had only strayed and would return. These days, those thoughts rarely crossed his mind anymore.

He stood up, finally. His mind had come back to him and he knew that a knock on the door meant he should go and see who is was. Really, he didn't care. Afterall, who did he care to see? That is...who that would actually be there?

Dillan walked to the door and twisted the handle slowly, lazily. When it swung open, he lifted his eyes. For a moment, he was sure his eyes were playing tricks on him. It much have been a dream, an illusion...but then, why was it still there? The form of his beloved Jelly still stood before him, not fading away in a dream-like mist like he expected her to. She looked somewhat different: longer hair, worn clothes, but there was no mistaking this was her.

He was stunned, "Jelly..." was all his whispered voice could muster.

((I knooooow! And take a look at that specialty, she's about to become quite a handful I think, especially for her big brother lol))

Pookie nodded and walked over to the loveseat. She sat down there, and spotted a nail file on the end table. It must have been her mother's. She picked it up, as though she'd used it a million time, and began shaping her claws.

"I believe we won't have to worry much anymore," she said with confidence.

Fallyn's eyebrow raised at her granddaughter's sudden change in demeanor. It seemed that all the child had needed all this time was for her father to return. It had returned her sense of safety to her, and built her personality back up. Fallyn was pleasantly surprised by this change in the child. She could see that she need not worry anymore. Things were finally good again.

As the door opened, she found herself almost dazed, staring off into space and was jolted alive again by the mere whisper of her name. It was far from a romantic or touching meeting. It was something different, perhaps deeper and overly delicate. The subject of her disappearance had been quite the commotion for him, she was sure. He looked different. Almost as worn as she, almost incomplete. Was he? A strand of hair fell into her liquid teal eyes and she took a stumbling step back before holding her ground and swallowing nervously.

No. It wasn't a dream. Wasn't an illusion. Couldn't be anything of the sort. Had to be something far more intimate, delicate and intricate. Had to be... fate. She bit her lower lip, a begging habit she'd picked up in her travels and then twirled the strand of hair out of her eyes. For all intensive purposes, she lifted herself up, trying to stand straight and seem haughty, but in the end she could not and moved forward to embrace the other.

"I... I'm back..." she muttered quietly into his ear, wonder what his reaction would be, watching slyly out of the corner of her eye, her heart beating one desperate beat too fast.

Dillan's entire body seemed to tingle at the familiar feeling of Jelly's body close to his in this embrace. He couldn't speak. He only wrapped his arms around her and held onto her, tighter than he had ever held onto anything in his entire life. He couldn't let her go again...for fear that she would run back the way she came and send his life spiraling back the way it had the first time he'd lost her. A tear brimmed his eye, but he didn't let it fall. That was too much, he couldn't show her how much he'd hurt her, not now at this delicate meeting.

Slowly, he pushed the girl back at arm's length and his eyes searched her for answers to the questions that entered his mind, too many too quickly for his mouth to sputter them out. Finally, he just decided on one.

"Why did you leave me..?"

This was the question that had nearly killed him inside.

There was a bit of shock coursing through her body. She had imagined many things, many wild things, but none of them quite being what actually happened. She was almost unsteady on her feet at the force with which he cradled her to him. She, in turn, allowed him such an embrace and returned it with her own, now very sure that he had indeed missed her. That he was happy to have her here. As he pushed her away again, she knew it was not out of spite, but out of curiosity and the need to look at her. To make sure she was really real. That was fine with her, she needed it too.

Her hand reached out slenderly to touch his cheek, eyes brimming with sadness and a voice that caught before she straightened herself out and turned serious, "I had to. I had no choice... but listen, please Dillan, it wasn't you I left. It was this place. I had to take off else I'd have been smothered here. But it's all right isn't it? I came back!" And to this, she gave a wide smile and that typical laugh of hers that echoed with mischief. She stepped forward, poking his nose, "So forgive me... okay?" She'd become quite the chatterbox in her own absence.

Dillan's eyes crossed for a moment as he followed her fingertip to his nose. He looked at her, listening to her words. Was it really that easy? Could he forgive her? Just like that? He wasn't sure...but he wanted to try. He wanted to pretend that she'd never left. He wanted everything to be just the way it had been before.

Dillan allowed himself to smile at Jelly. He caressed her cheek gently.

"Come inside, the house is different," he said, not really saying he forgave her, but trying to allow his heart to be at ease.

Dillan led her into the house. She would notice that things had indeed changed there. It was still a lopsided place in the middle of the lake, and it still was made of interesting scraps, but much of what they had planned so long ago was done. The entire place was bigger, and stocked with what they needed to have a life together. It was nicely decorated (though slightly cluttered) in a nautical fasion fit for two aquatic elves.

"How do you like it?"

There were stories best left unsaid for now. Maybe someday she would tell him the real reason she left, and why she might have to leave again. But this time was different, she wasn't going to be so threatened this time. Threatened by what? Well that was her own little silly secret. There a slight pout that crossed her lips though. So he wouldn't forgive her yet? Well, she supposed that was to be expected. Would she have been able to forgive herself if that was indeed the case? Not likely. She'd have hated herself for all of time to come. Dillan was simply too nice sometimes.

Following him into the house, that had long since been made into a home, she twirled around a little, fascinated by how much he'd accomplished all by himself. A pang went through her heart and she turned to face him, looking rather unhappy about the whole thing, "You did it all by yourself... I wish I could have helped too..." There was an air of dignified spoiled brat about her but then she laughed and shook her head, more hair pulling from her braid and falling around her face. "It's wonderful. But why did you do it? After I left, you had no real reason to..."

"I wish you could have helped too..."

His voice trailed off a moment, remembering how his heart ached as he added onto the house without her.

"I did it because..." he hesitated to tell her. Jelly was a dignified sort of woman, and he hated the idea of looking weak in front of her. What if it changed her mind about returning to him? What if she scoffed at him, turned up her nose and left again? He breathed out and decided he had no choice, "because deep down, I always hoped you'd be there at my door again..."

He felt a lump in his throat and he turned his face away from her. A slight red hue was showing through his fur. It made him angry, sad, ashamed to feel the way he did...

Nash lounged on the top of a bare tree. His long hair fell into his eyes and he sighed. Today had been a very boring day, indeed. Normally, some pretty little fae would have come around by now for him to flirt with and romance to his little heart's content. You see, Nash was quite the ladies man, and he loved to show a pretty girl a good time. He supposed it was a bit too chilly out for the lovelies today. What a very boring day indeed...

((Thank-you!))

Venna was enjoying the chill in the air. She was wandering further than usual from her home, searching for odds and end to hide in her home. She drew the long jacket she was wearing tight around her. Her eyes were focused on the ground, not the treetops, so she didn't see Nashashuk even when she must have come within view of him.
