katrea watched him as the knight jumped and then came at him with a lot of skill. katrea didn’t stop his slash he used it to continue spinning on the spot and finished his full spin where the blade was coming at his chest. katrea used the spin from his slash to make his blade spin full circle at the incoming blade Avalus used. His sword met with Avalus’s and they clashed violently, katrea was pushed back by it, already off balance. he quickly got up and looked at the man. he didn’t wait more then a second before readying his sword again.
katrea looked at ikki and smiled shaking his head.
"No need to try and protect me with a ruse my friend, although i commend your cunning."
then looking at the knight again he said
"Queens knight is it, is that why you are strong? I am no enemy of the castle but fighting you does help me."

"Indeed I am Avalus Asureia 3rd Initiated Queens Knight. If you are not an enemy of our castle then why do you attack the guards when the queen wishes your prescence."
Avalus was invigorated by the pairs first clash and inside craved more but knew he must keep his kool and dignity as a noble.
"If you will accompany me to the queen then I will step down. Otherwise I would be more than happy to step it up a notch."
With this Avalus swung his sword so that it was aimed out from his side towards the floor. Clicking the handle the swords blades shifted into a more pronounced v shape and 2 additional prongs swung out.
"To fight one of such a high ability is rare It is an honour"

(This will work out perfectly I need to take a week away for christmass)
Ikki smiled and waved one handed other in his pocket walked past the two.
"Well it was worth a try, have fun. We'll meet again after you get into the Knights, later"
He walked away knowing exactly where he could find the man he searched for, he would miss having someone to travel with but he had to admit Katrea did his job and took him north. Now it was time to get back what was his.

Katrea was growing intrigued by this mans strength and said in a cocky fashion.
"well knight, i tell you what. i want to see you strength, so if you best me in this duel i will go to see what it is your queen wants with me."
Katrea swung the sword around and pointed it to the sky and bowed his head with a grin.
"Come at me"
then from both side of the streets soldiers came running out in armour from head to toe and some with swords and others with spears. they surrounded the two of them but looked at Katrea.
"Sir, we will take him in, he cant fight us all."
Katrea lowered his weapon and looked at Avalus thinking that was checkmate, he was going to run but he wanted to fight this man. what would he do now, just take Katrea in chains. Katrea was curious about what he would do with the upper hand.

Avalus liked this guy so a duel eh just what avalus had hoped.
"Guards stand down this man is mine"
The soldiers didnt know what to do they had been odered to fetch katrea and now that they'd found him they had been told to stand down. The soldiers looked confused but stepped away non the less. From tha back a soldier called out
"You can do it Sir Avalus"
"Thanks A queens knight must fight with the honour of their kingdom. We shall settle this one on one then"
Avalus sword arm was swung out in front of him and he charged at katrea.
"Charge!"

Katrea smiled and was full of excitement as the man ran at him one on one he moved to face him head on as he charged. His sword came in as the guards all around yelled out. Katreas blade came around in a down slash at his head.
"This is going to be good."
Katreas eye focused in on him and there gazes met one another, like to strong beasts showing of there teeth.

Avalus had already knew the reaction of his opponent as it was the most probable defence against his attack. Because of this he was prepared. He swung his sword to the left before bringing it up and useing it to paddle Katreas blade to the right as it came down toward him pushing it to the side of him. The 2 swords dug into the ground and with his free hand avalus punched at katreas midsection
Unfortunately a large amount of the force of the punch was lost as the swords impact to the ground had pushed him off balance slightly and he was recovering.

Katrea expected as much from this knight, a well thought out counter to his simple assault. Katrea lost his grip on his blade after his was kicked and pushed away from Avalus. Katrea purposely let Avalus fully push him and so he fell to the ground rolling back, but not for long he stopped himself and his feet pushed him off the ground after the roll. Katrea brought his fist around as he was launched by the power of his kick off the floor. This happened very fast and Avalus would be hard pressed to ready his sword in time.
Katrea’s fist came at his cheek from the right to try and nock him away from the two weapons. Katrea had not seen him use any other weapons in their fight and assumed he didn't have any. The dust from the ground was still moving from Katrea’s impact with the street floor this showed just how fast he was on his counter.

Avalus watched with delight as katrea rolled back and pushed off the floor. He knew it was coming but could not ready a counter in time for now he just had to block as much as possible. He raised his arms together infront of him so that they covered his head and chest.
Katreas fist impacted on them with far more force than avaluses last attack and he was pushed back over a metre as his heels slid back.
Avalus dropped one hand down so he was crouched after being pushed back swinging his other arm out to the side to re grab his sword which he held out to the side in a ready position.
Suddenly Avalus thew his sword at katre it span quick and fast as it moved.
"Feel my V-edge boomerang"

Katrea pulled himself upright after his punch had left him a bit off balance and he heard Avalus shout out just in time to see the sword coming at him.
"Dam! to fast."
katrea could only dodge but not well as he bent back so the blade came twisting over his face and clipping his arm tearing the wrappings off as it moved back with his body. the blade went flying of at the wall and Katrea pushed himself off the floor and ran at Avalus with his whole body ready. a few seconds before getting to him he made a punch with his right hand and as soon as that was heading for Avalus’s shoulder his other hand came around for an upper cut.

Avalus saw his sword boomerang srape the man but had not taken into account that knocking it off course it would impact with the wall and hence not return. The sword was jammed in the wall solidly. It was then that he saw Katreas assault at least he didnt have his blade.
Avalus Threw up his hand to grab katreas fist and holding it tight as it pushed his arm back and that is when the second impact hit him. It had knowhere near enough force to do damage. It was then that Avalus went in for a headbutt.
after this he raised his head once more
"Theres your first mistake. A punch followed closely by another gives power to both punches as you concentrate on each. 2 punches at the same time and only the first will have any damaging potential."

Katrea couldn’t do much as his first punch was court by Avalus and his second did little to him. Then his head smacked katrea's with great force and Katrea was knocked back a little. This man wasn't only skilled with a blade like Katrea had first thought; this man was no stranger to hand to hand combat.
"Your skilled my friend, I will give you that."
Katrea wasn’t out yet he had great stamina and that maybe his wining point. Katrea opened his fist and gripped Avalus’s hand, then his second hand grabbed Avalus’s other arm. with a smile Katrea lifted his head and started to rapidly head butt Avalus on the forehead. blood was already dripping a bit from his head but with Katrea hitting this time would mean Avalus was taking more damage.
"Don’t ... be ... so... cocky..."

Shadow woke sometime the next day but was not sure when, he was woken up by cheering and what sounded like a fight. This reminded him of the battle of when his village was attacked. Shadow got up with much haste as he relised he had sick next to him, wear he had throwen up in the night.
He walked around town to get rid of his thumping headache. As he held his head in the pain of the headache, he noticed a crowd of soilders shouting and cheering for someone called Avalus, as he did not who this was he went to check it out, pushing past the soilders, and stealing there wallets as he did, he made a quick buck and found two men dueling.
"i'll teach you to wake me" he muttered
As this woke him up he was pissed off, and probabley still abit drunk. He pushed back throught the soilders with more force this time. Shadow ran a few meters away, as he was doing this he had what looked like blue flames surrounding him as he focused his energy.
Shadow jump into the air, turned around and shouted "Tsunami". Water fell from the sky like a waterfall onto the soilders, and began to circle the two men like a whirlpool, as the soilder were spinning around in the water Shadow pulled his fist too his chest, the water suddenly raced towards Shadow. Then Shadow punched towards the two men.
Shadow thought to himself this might be abit extreme, but then thought what the hell i've started the attack might as well finish it.As he thought this, the water climed up looking like a giant wave, then at some speed began to travel towards the two men......

Avalus was shocked by the primal nature of Katreas attacks and the headbutts were starting to hurt but that wouldnt stop Avalus blood had started to dribble down his head and he squeezed hard on katreas arm into his fingers dug in while breaking free with the other hand he swung away as katre headbutted pulling around katrea while still holding on to the other his elbow aimed at the back of katreas head. It was then that he remembered and he instead swung his hand under ythe top of his armour pulling a small blade and placing it at katreas chest.
"I think the fight is over"
"graagh"
Avalus shouted as he suddenly dropped to the ground crouched over in an attempt to lower his body surface and brace himself. A wave of water suddenly engulfed him.

katrea sighed and looked at the blade on his chest. this man just kept fighting and he was strong.
"ookk.........garrrrrr!!
katrea was hit by the wave of water as he was about to end the fight. the water pushed at his body, he was heading for the wall being swept away by the wave. There wasn't much time to do anything. katrea then suddenly saw his sword to the side and grabbed it with a quick action, then he twisted his body and pushed off the ground in a strong jump out of the water into the sky. Biting his finger katrea write a kaji on the side of his sword.
"flame tunge"
he came down and cut through the water with an intense flame on his sword it evaporated a lot of the water but a lot of water still hit the wall then became puddles on the ground. Katrea’s sword extinguished as the blood was washed off with the water katrea then collapsed to the ground out of breath.
