Mikey sat down in the chair and slid his bag down off of his shoulder and down onto the floor beside him. He looked over to Quinn and noticed that the sketchbook that had been infront of him before was now gone. He smiled to him and asked "So... what were ya drawing before you nearly choked yourself on coffee...?" he let out a laugh and reached down to his bag to pull out his own sketchbook.

Quinn shrugged before taking a sip of water. "Nothing in specific. I couldn't see anyone right so I just sketched my coffee cup and someone I made up..." he blinked down towards his bag, realizing how much the person he though he'd made up looked like his dad. He sighed, smiled again, and looked back to Mikey, no clue what else to say.

Mikey smiled and asked "Can I see? If you don't mind, that is....." he looked down to his own sketchbook and flipped it open to a blank page.

Quinn opened and closed his mouth a few times, before struggling out "s-sure." He leaned over and pulled his sketchbook from his bag, then handed it to Mikey. "You can look through the whole thing if you want......but I'm really not that good...." he sighed and looked embarrassedly down at the table, taking another sip of water.

Mikey smiled and let out a laugh as he looked over to Quinn and said "No need to be embarassed.... it's not like I'm an art critic or anything.... just a fellow artist..." he grinned and began to flip through Quinn's sketchbook.

Most of the pictures in his sketchbook were of people, though there was the occasional page of random sketches of items, eyes, and hands. Those were the things he seemed to think he needed improving on.
He shifted in his seat uncomfortably, laughing nervously. "I just, uh.....haven't really shown anyone my stuff for a really long time." he said with another nervous laugh. He began to rub at the back of his neck, suddenly becomng worried at what he'd sketched. Oh great, I don't even know if I've got anything in there I don't want anyone to see! He thought with a small almost unnoticeable shiver.

Mikey smiled as he looked though the book, he smiled up at Quinn, who looked very nervous, and said "These are pretty good... with a little practice you could be quite the artist..."

"Thanks..." he mumbled with a small smile while looking down at his sketchbook in Mikey's hands. He sat there, silently sipping carefully at his water, struggling for something to say. Just.....say something! Anything! Anything but this weird silence....never could stand silence....his thoughts went on, and he stared distractedly at Mikey, like he didn't really realize what or who he was looking at.

Mikey raised an eyebrow as he noticed Quinn staring, he let out a laugh before saying "Earth to Quinn..... have we lost ya...." he laughed again and slumped down in his chair after setting Quinn's sketchbook down on the table.

He jumped slightly, spilling a bit of water on himself. He twitched, then wiped at the spot he'd spilled on, soon grabbing a napkin to try to soak it up. "Heh....." he mumbled nervously, reaching over and taking his sketchbook and putting it back in his bag before he had a chance to spill anything on it.

Mikey smiled and laughed as he said "Just a bit clutsy, huh...." he took a sip of his coffee as he pulled a pencil from his bag and began to doodle on the blank page of his sketchbook.

Quinn gave a laugh and nodded, watching Mikey. "Yeah.....err.....normally only around people, but...." he stopped himself. Why had he just said that? He barely knew this person, and he'd never even said that to his old friends. His eye twitched, and he again stared at Mikey like he had before.

Mikey, not even noticing that Quinn was staring again because he hadn't looked up from his drawing, let out another laugh and said "Well... as far as I know... I count as people so... that might be the reason...."

Quinn continued staring when he laughed slightly. "Heh....yeah..." he looked over to his coffee, and thought it might be cool enough now. He reached over, grabbed his cup and took a sip, this time not spitting it out.
