That isn't a strategy. A strategy is this:
Hard center advancing + Pincer flanks - Seer council backed with avatar, flanked by wraithlords. Screened by guardians. Fire support back up of Small ranger units. On the flanks high speed units such as Swooping hawks, wark spiders and jet bikes sweeping in for supporting assaults and shooting enemy support units.
That is a strategy. How do tou like to play? Answer that, then we can help with army composition.
P.S. No I won't eat you. And you should probably fill out to minimum squad size those squads that you have.

Okay, I need advice on my Eldar army and I have a few questions about some things.
My Eldar Army: HQ Faseer 71 pts. (40 + 15 + 15 + 1) - Witch Blade, Shuriken Pistol, Mind War
Troops Guardian Defender Squad 96 pts. (8*7 + 40) - 7 Guardians + Support Platform (Scatter Laser)
Guardian Defender Squad 56 pts. - 7 Guardians
Fast Attack Vyper Jetbike 50 pts. - Basic Twin-linked catapaults & shuriken cannon
Swooping Hawks 126 pts. - 6 Hawks
My questions: 1. If Phoenix Lord Baharroth joins the Swooping Hawk Squadron, does the Squad count him as one of the hawks? Like, could I possibly have 4 hawks and Baharroth, therefore having him as part of the squad would meet the 5 model requirement?
2. Are striking scorpions or Howling Banshees the better close combat fighters? I want some sort of beefy close combat unit to come in and wreak havoc while the hawks and vyper come in to rain death. In the meantime, the guardian squads will lead a slow but steady assault behind the close combat guys. smile
3. Are there any other models, besides warlocks, that you'd reccomend? smile

the answer to number one is probley NO. Normal special character cannot be counted towards the minium model req for a squad but you could always play him as a normal hawk

Nattfodd My questions: 1. If Phoenix Lord Baharroth joins the Swooping Hawk Squadron, does the Squad count him as one of the hawks? Like, could I possibly have 4 hawks and Baharroth, therefore having him as part of the squad would meet the 5 model requirement? No you absolutly cannot. You must take the minimum requirement for the squad. And besides the swooping hawk exarch is awesome anyway. I've wiped out entire squads of marines with it. Nattfodd 2. Are striking scorpions or Howling Banshees the better close combat fighters? I want some sort of beefy close combat unit to come in and wreak havoc while the hawks and vyper come in to rain death. In the meantime, the guardian squads will lead a slow but steady assault behind the close combat guys. smile Neither. They, like all eldar units, are designed with a combat purpose io mind. The banshee's rip apart heavily armoued stuff, the scorps handle the all purpose fighting. In your case, I'd take the scorps. Nattfodd 3. Are there any other models, besides warlocks, that you'd reccomend? smile Well for starters I would make your guardian squads bigger. At the moment you'll be loosing points after the first few casualties. Get them warlocks, and get them concealed. Have you considered a Grav tank? Either a wave serpent or a falcon. Something with guns and transport.

I was thinking about a falcon grav tank with either a banshee or scorpion squad inside. If I get another box of guardians, should I put a heavy weapon platform in the second squad?
and at the moment, as I have no way of really tearing apart heavily armored stuff like terminators, maybe i should get the banshees + jain zar?

Ignore the phoenix lords until you're looking at 3K point games. If you're that frightened of termies, get yourself a host of star cannon. Banshee's are an option, I know, I use them. But i've always used them as a fire sink. And if people don't go for the fire sink, they get diced. Win win situation.

Falcon is definitely worth it, along with a few Jetbikes. Jetbikes have turned the tide of many of my battles.

Not a big fan of jetbikes personally sad
What about Fire Dragons? I never hear everyone talking about them, but they look like they're really good.

Well as you've probably noticed, I've never used a falcon. I could never get one to work for me. Just didn't fit with the battle plan. But I do use Shining Spears. I know of no-one else game to meddle with them. But hell, brightlance hitting on a 2+. I'm not whining.
As for fire dragons. Very lovely models. If you're willing to spend the points. They can be a very dangerous all round squad. I'd say go for it. Get a unit of dragons and slam them into a falcon. But you'll really have to tool your exarch with everything to get full power. Heck considering how god exarches are, that goes without saying.

I'm designing a Biel-Tan's swordwind army, and would like to know if how i'm setting it up so far seems effective. I'll post points when i get the chance.
HQ: 1) Avatar 2) Farseer with Mind war, Eldrich Storm, Witch blade, and Jetbike
Elite: 1) Guardian Jetbikes (3 with catapults, 1 w/ cannon) 2) Wraithguard (5 models accompanied with warlock knowing conceal, waveserpent planned) 3) Rangers (7)
Troops: 1) Dire Avengers (5-7, 1 exarch w/ diresword, distract, and defend) 2) Warp Spiders (4-6 spiders, Exarch with assult death spinners and withdrawl) 3) Fire Dragons (4 w/ regular gear, Exarch with firepike and [tankhunter?] skill)
Fast Attack: 1) Shining spears (two, exarch with power weapon and [skill that allows armor to be invincible?])
Heavy: 1) Falcon w/ Brightlance, Catapults, pulse laser 2) Fire Prism w/ Prism cannon and catapults 3) Wraithlord w/ catapults, flamer, and starcannon
so far, only the spears, avatar, and bike farseer haven't been tested. others have been tested with a regular ground farseer with the same weapons and spells. any suggestions as to how to improve the army would be appreciated

Lose the Fire Prism. They are completly useless. The main gun gets one shot at BS3. You'd be better off with a Waveserpent or another Falcon.

as noted, i'm planning on getting a new wave serpent for the wraithguard team, so that is no problem. as for replacing the prism, any recommended weapons i should use for the falcon that shall replace it? also, are the support weapon platforms under heavy support really worth having, or am i better off using the platforms that are combined with defense guardians?

For your falcon get either a scatter laser or a Brightlance, though my biased opinion is a Brightlance, cause when combined with the Falcons Pulse Laser can be pretty deadly. And hte Support Platforms donyt bother they are just a waste of points and space, unless you have three of hte same kind, even then. So at teh moment stick with heavy platforms for the Defender Guardians.

Guardian is right Pilan, the Support weapon platforms are pretty useless. They are not worth it. They'll probably cause more problems than they are worth.
Guardians' idea with the Falcon's mount is a good one. However a thought just occured to me. Have you considered a Vyper squad?
