I love Fushigi Yugi: Genbu Kaiden. I only have the first volume, though. I'm hoping to get more volumes later. I think Takiko is way better than Miaka or Yui.

Hey everyone. I just joined a few days ago. Wasn't posting in here yet because I wanted to read every post in this thread. Insaneness but I did it, in under 4 hours. xd
I just started reading FY:GK today. Im a total FY:SS fan (i have all the japanese boxsets), but I had not heard of FY:GK until a few days ago. So for my curiousity's sake I read the first 2 volumns today in my schools bookstore during my break, and so far I love it! I think I even like it more then FY:SS! Don't get me wrong, I love FY:SS, but I was a lot younger when I watched it. I have sinced matured and I like to see more mature anime/manga. I'm not saying that I don't like cheesy/fluffy/immature anime/manga, I do, I just like it every now and then as upposed to all the time. I think FY:GK is a lot maturer and I like Takiko a lot more then I ever liked Miaka. I think she is one of Yuu Watase sensai's best female leads. That, and I'm in love with Limdo(ARRRGH!!!) Rimudo!!!!! heart heart
Im still curious as to how old Rimudo actually is. Someone said here that he was 16 because she read that Souren said 16 years ago he was a baby, but a baby can be 1 to 2 years old. So with that in mind, he could very well be 17 or 18 couldn't he?
lol don't mind me. Im obsessed with Rimudo and would prefer him to be older so he wouldnt be considered jailbate. xd

I've read the first 3 mangas. I like the characters better, but not the story line. Amiboshi is still the cutest though.

Does anyone here know a website that I can read Fushigi Yugi Genbu? in english, please, no japanese cuz i won't be able to understand. there was one for Absolute Boyfriend but i was wondering if there's one for Genbu, if you know of one (like on photobucket) please tell me (pm's are better) thanks a bunch!!!

I just started collexcting Genbu kaiden. I have the first two vollumes and I'm anxious to get the third.I'm enjoying it so far, but seeing as I'm just starting to read Mysterious Play I'm not quite suer what I think of the actual storyline. I love the art of course, Watase never ceases to amaze.

Genbu Kaiden would make a lot more sense and be more interesting if you read through the Mysterious Play first. Or atleast I think so. That way you can make connections through the series, and you have a sense of who the characters are and what has become of them (those who are revealed). It's also really intersting to see some of the similarities through the series (Takiko vs. Miaka in the ice, ect).

I was all "OMGNAKAGO!" and then I found it funny for some reason. I hope Watase-sama puts a few more things in like that.

I always like seeing Takiko break the ice. But if I had to chose who broke it better (yeah I'm weird) I'd have to go with Miaka. But Takiko gets better benefits after she breaks the ice...*winkwink*
