D-Mike-X hobbitdrummer Cintax Error Haha, I'm playing the marching xylophone in a parade coming up in a little over a week. ...Oh god, my back is going to die. It's like 6 miles long. gonk My band director got it in early December was was like "Yeah, you're marching this at the end of the month. Go learn to march (I only know basic marching) and try to carry it. Kbye." Dang. Marching keyboards are heavy little mother effers. Good luck! wow that sucks i didn't know they still made those have fun but yet again at least its not a huge gut bass You mean like a 32'' Bass? ((xD My friend had to march a 32'' bass. xD he's my hero)) But y'know, at least it ain't marching timpani!!! I didn't even know those existed until I spotted one, randomly. I was spazzing. It was great, those things are like 70lbs. xD New here by the way, I love pit...tried out for tenors and bass, couldn't carry tenors for a ten minute show so I got moved to timpani. It was the greatest thing that ever happened to me....@~@ I LOVE PIT!...*sniffle*

Well, I thought this would be a really cool place to introduce myself. My Real name is rachel, but all my friends call me HugZz. I like to associate myself with Highschoolers in marching band. So far, My bro and sis have been in marching band two years and next year I hope to have my first year in marching band in the drumline as a freshman. Me and my mom have both followed the Pride of Mesa Ridge High School Marching band all the way to state finals. I'm in Symphonic band percussion and am also in Band council. I'm one of the two editors of the band newsletter and Like making friends. so yeah. That's me. ~Xazabiel~

LOL Cymbals are fun espeacialy when everyone won't shut up in class the teacher lets me play them as loud as possible to scare the class. it's hillarious. So, You get to play in the Rose parade. Lucky JackA. Can't wait till' next year. have fun with that though.

Rhap-chan HelterSkelterX I don't know how many people in this guild are drummers. I started drumming with I was 4, which by all rights should've make it easier right? Yeah...so marching band music is in no way, shape, or form the same. Why can't there be more rudimental drummers out there?! ^_^ **waves** Greetings, fellow drummer! Though perhaps I should be called a xylophone addict. ^_^ That's my thing really. My boyfriend began his drumming career at the same age, though he's a set drummer mostly. Marching band music is evil and wrong (^^ kidding, but it's definitely hard). And there aren't many rudimental drummers out there because.... many "drummers" can't play rudiments! Like me! But at least I have an excuse, being a xylo addict. I'm glad someone made a topic for percussionists! Struggle on, my friend. I love being a xylaphone player- especially when I have to play with four mallets.

thoen um........hi.........i was wondering how high of a tempo you guys can paradiddle? And if there are any marching chief fans here other than me..............im kinda new. My highest paradiddle tempo is 192, thats like evenly, I can go higher but it starts to fall apart, and I totally lose focus on the accents. <_____<____ R-L-R-R-L-R-L-L
