"Two freaks should be together"? That's a low reason for supporting a pairing.

I would love to see your reply to that, Brittney.

-.- None of my IRL friends like SasuSaku; only one likes Naruto, but her interest in it is leaving her, and she's 100% Pro-SasuNaru/NaruSasu. She hates my profile, too. xP You can see the comments she left -- she's hiddenkitsune. We get into arguments all the time.

I've tried to convert her, but she just hates it so much.. it's no use. xD;
PostPosted: Thu Aug 31, 2006 7:45 am

@magnum opera: Yes. You are so lucky. For the longest time, I thought she liked SasuSaku. Then I had the tendency to ask.. and she said NaruSaku. T___T Which is pretty sad. By the way.. welcome! =D

xD; Hah. Nice Kairi..

Anyways.. My reply: (Dun, dun, dun, dunnnn.)

Quote:
Okay. Be prepared in-case this is a long post, because you practically just downed SasuSaku like it was nothing.

1) Sakura has been one of my favourites since the beginning. Sure, she could be annoying, but I'm sure she was trying to get even some attension from Sasuke. Either way, she's even better in the second half. She finally proved herself, trained under Tsunade, and became strong.

2) I practically detest NaruSaku with all my heart. For me, I can see them being best of friends. A brother-sister kind of relationship. I can't really see them actually being a couple when Sakura is in-love with Sasuke. And Im pretty sure she's not going to give up anytime soon.

3) Sasuke left only because at the moment, he's only got his mind on killing Itachi, and getting more power to do so. Once he has his goal complete, I can't see him staying with Orochimaru. Meaning, he'll probably end up coming back to Kohana.

4) Im not going to go on about all the different scenes with SasuSaku in them. Simply, there's way to many, and I'm sure you'd only read over my blabble about them. But to me, there's way more SasuSaku hinting in the series compared to NaruSaku. The more reason to like SasuSaku. More action, more loveable.

-

There's the part about SasuSaku. =) I got kinda pissed when she said she liked NaruSaku. xD

Your debates sound like mine. I do that quite often. But lately, when people bring up things about SasuSaku. They are mostly just bashing Sasuke, and then saying that Sakura's feeling is a "crush". [[I have fun with that one...A lot of fun]]

But yes, there are alot more in my opinion, SasuSaku hintings. And the so called NaruSaku hintings seem more to me like Friends going out for lunch. And her feelings like a sister would towards a brother.

My favorite so far.

"Did you see that Sakura cried for Naruto when she thought he was dead!"

Me response to that one:

"If your friend, that was like a brother to you, that you have known since Elementary school, what would you do. I know Id surely cry."

Does that make sense to everyone but them? Or am I the delusional one?

-Claps for Brittney-

@--The Trusty Sidekick--: If you think about it, we're all delusional at one point. I mean, what you're saying makes sense, but you do cry for someone you love [in a romantic way] as well. [Don't look at this as me defending NaruSaku, because I'm not.]

However.. it just really, really bothers me that NaruSaku fans are SO sure the pairing is canon.

Why?

"Because they have the most evidence!"

Evidence to most pairing supporters = nearly every waking moment between the two characters.

And with Naruto and Sakura being the two main characters in the spotlight at this moment in time -- COME BACK, SASUKE! -- of course they're going to have the most scenes together, so of course they're going to have the most 'evidence.'

"Because they both care for each other!"

WHY can't two people care for each other as friends without being paired together!? I would LOVE to see Kishimoto keep Naruto and Sakura as FRIENDS. I love their friendship! Turning their nice friendship into a romantic relationship would ruin the relationship between them for me.

Also, just because they act alike does NOT mean that they will be a good couple. In my life, I have seen many couples fall apart because the two people involved were too alike.

But this is a manga/anime, not real life. So God knows how things would work out.

I personally hate how most NaruSaku fans (I'm not trying to put any one down) use the "But she cried for Naruto, so she loves him more than Sasuke," excuse but turn their heads on the fact that Sakura has also cried for Sasuke many a times. It was just a crush, they say.

:slams head:

It was NOT just a crush. Crushes don't normally progress beyond physical attraction. Take that scene in Chapter 181, where Sakura tells Sasuke, in tears, that she LOVES him with all her heart and is willing to give up her life so that she can be with him. That should tell any fan right away that this wasn't merely "just a crush." Sasuke is an integral part of her character and you just CAN'T take him away without horribly distorting her character and her ambitions.
Sasuke is the reason why they (Naruto and Sakura) are BOTH suffering. Really. I have people explaining "Sakura is over Sasuke, it's just Naruto who wants him back." What about Chapter 319, hm? The fact is that Sakura is hiding her pain and her emotions. She still VERY MUCH wants Sasuke back. Just as much as Naruto.

To say that "she's over her crush" is an insult to her character. It was more than just a crush. It was Team 7. And it was Sakura's DEVOTION and LOVE for Sasuke. And it's that same DEVOTION and LOVE for Sasuke that still pushes her on.

She was desperate not to losing him. It was not just simply a child crush or infatuation anymore. She deeply cares for him, and if it wasn't that Sakura knew Sasuke that much she wouldn't turn back and run, and there wouldn't the 181 Sasusaku scenes.

In that one episode that I saw when Sakura cried, thinking that Naruto had died, after Kabuto insert this thing to Naruto's heart -- she didn't want to lose Naruto. She had already lost one of her teammates, Sasuke, and the fact that at that very moment she thought she had lost Naruto too ..wouldn't you cry?

Answer:

Well uh, duh? Yes she was desperate. But that isn't the reason why she was willing to go so far for Sasuke. She was desperate because she loved him and didn't want him to go where his life would undoubtedly be ruined.
Her love confession wasn't just some random outburst. These were true feelings that Sakura slowly developed as she began to get to know Sasuke better. Her epiphany was this moment, when Sasuke was leaving the Village of Konoha. She knew that she would be powerless to stop him, so she confesses her feelings hoping that he might re-consider, or at the very least, take her with him so that she can still care for him.

It was Sasuke, however, who knew that he could not do this. He thus thanked her for the love she had continuously offered him over the period of time they known each other. Sasuke was/is aware of Sakura's feelings.

Hence the whole "Thank You," scene.

How do I counter that one? Easy.

Desperate can be used many ways. [[Seeing how I converted shortly after talking with another Anti Sasuke, and then suddenly feeling like I had to defend him.]] Desperate. She was desperate. So desperate that she told him her deepest feelings. With his leaving she realized that she didnt like him. More like love .A crush? Not, I really think against that.

About her falling over. She did fall on him to cry. Naruto is her best friend. You can tell that. She would never ever let anything happen to him. He is like her family. And of course they would look like Hints, sure they are alot. But dont we know Kishi for making you think something, and then BOOM! He does the unexpected. NaruSaku is expected. I just dont see him doing that to Sasuke, his favorite character.

And Ill leave it at this:

Im Pro: SasuSaku no matter what happends. I hate NaruSaku, always have even when I was Anti Sasuke, I have always been Pro SasuSaku, so for the fans that say "I hate SasuSaku because I hate Sasuke" Or Insert Sakura. Thats not right. But they are entitled to their opinion [[Even though I hate it with a distinct passion]]

HaHAA. This argument is SO going down.

Desperation. That's why Sakura shouted that confession of love. Duh. Of COURSE she was desperate, and I'm not even being sarcastic here. The love of her life was leaving and going to some snake guy who's after his body. Of course she'd be concerned - she'd try to stop him.

She tried. First with trying to tell her feelings without giving too much away. Then with trying to make him remember the good times they had together as friends. And when all else failed, she despaired. And when she despaired, the only things she could do was to tell him her true feelings, because she happens to believe "desperate times call for desperate measures", and proclaiming her love is the most desperate measure she could ever try to give out. Hell-o! Wouldn't proclaiming your love be a desperate act? Especially if that someone you loved could actually reject you AND betray the village you love at the same time?

My point is, she told him her true feelings in hopes that these powerful emotions would make him stay, because it was her last stand. She failed, of course, but not miserably. She got a "thank you" from him, at least, and he didn't even leave her on the cold hard ground.

And that, my friends, is the essence of love. (Or not. blaugh )
