You missed what happened next. Creed cornered Larfleeze. He revealed he IS a Black Lantern, and then put Larfleeze on my trail.

Why is Creed sending the Orange Lantern to you? *Looks over to Piper.* Doesn't he need hearts or whatever to eat, if he's a Black Lantern?
*Gives Piper a stern look.* You will not die. I've just spend most of the morning making a fake trail with the Spider-mans scent. That just so happened to go through mine at one point. They'll think you're somewhere else.

::flips his laptop over to her and cues up last night's conversation between Creed and Larfleeze::
I don't know what Creed is offering Larfleeze here, but space-horsie is pretty much selling out the entire Nexus for a flimsy set of lies and manipulations. I can shake them for a while, but sooner or later one or the other's going to find me.
If it's Larfleeze, he'll probably eat me, and I'll spend eternity playing dinner music for him. If it's Creed, he'll rip out my heart, turn me into a zombie and give the Black Lanterns access to the Anti-Life Equation. Which as you can guess, yes, is EXTREMELY bad and basically guarantees the end of everything as we know it.
What the Hell mistake did I make that my best option is getting eaten?!
