Kaleira isnt it a little hard 2 march with a bass clarinet? they're pretty heavy! eek Accually bass clarinets arn't all that heavy once you get use to it. im at the point now where i could probably twirll mine like a guard flag. The Contra however, that thing is heavy! Though i can throw that around fairly well also!

My fresh man year i marched with my Contra-Bass Clarinet! That was the best year, that year we marched Phantom of the Opera! BEST SHOW EVER!!! Now i only play the Contra during concert season, the Marching with it kinda had me in the Chiropractors office by the end of marching season. And the best part about all this is I was only about 5"2' at the time and the thing was almost taller then me!! Im in Sherando High School in Virgina if anyone wanted to know! we wanted to do phantom of the opera this year, but someone else was already doing it... crying

Miyoko Clarinetti Errr can anyone here help me with good ways to tackle sixteenth notes on the clari? -miyoko slowly and gradually get faster... muscle memory is the best way...

*stretches* OH MY GOD! that was the longest ride i have ever been on. We went from douglas to flagstaff. like 7 hour drive. We stayed this weekend at the kings house best western hotel. nice place. we also went and saw star wars 3 last night. what a kick a** movie.im sleepy, good night.

one time walking home i tripped(of course)and all the pieces started falling all over the sidewalk and everything was all screwie afterward and i had 2 get it fixed(lots of moola whee )

The BD wants a clarinet to switch to bass clari next year . . . I will if no one else does, but I like melody too much. And, my nice, non-marching clarinet would go to waste.

I am a Bass Clarinet. I love it so much. The low sounds are simply gorgeous when played correctly, and so can the high notes, surprisingly. I am working SO hard on my Bass Clarinet right now, it isn't even funny. I want to be well prepared for next year, even though it won't be too much different from this year. I just love being the best.
And, golly I am so mad at myself. My friend, who is a soprano clarinet, made second band for next year. She can either stay with that, or can switch to Bass Clarinet and join me in first band. I am happy that she can be with me and everything, but I don't know... I kind of like being th eonly one. It makes me feel unique. Then, i feel guilty because I don't want her to switch. I am so horrible crying
