Nothing. The rock blast didn't even seem to fizzle a little. He hadn't applied his chakra properly. With only moments to spare, he lept to the side and rolled off. The attacks, they were just slow enough for Roy to dodge them with ease but if he wasn't careful they could still hurt...alot.
He looked after rolling a ways off to see the wave changing direction again. The ground in its wake was nothing but huge half pipe-ish trenches criss crossing all over the ground. He had to get ride of this now because he was running out of places to run too. He felt the ground trembling and saw the loosened rocks quaking. This wave had spead up and he wouldn't be able to fail and dodge this time around. He had to make a stand and soon applied the chakra again.

This is what it meant to have true mastery of chakra. Within a moment of pure clarity of thought, he knew two very important things. One, that this attack was something that could be detremental if it connected and 2, he really REALLY didn't want to be hit again. It hurt...
Moving his chakra at the very utmost of his will, he felt the same pressure release from his mind as he had the first time. The wave that was barrling towards him simply vanished within the blink of an eye. The ground that had been ravaged and beaten by the attack returned to normal just like that. He looked around for a moment and soon noticed the cat was gone.
There was no trace or sound of the cat this time around and he wasn't sure what was going on. Then, out of now here, he felt the heated breath and noticed that he stood within a shadow...Etna's shadow. He looked up to see the cat come down and clamp her fangs around his ribs. He was going to be eatten. This had to be a trick...he hoped as much and after a bit of fighting began to apply his chakra again.

Roy moved his chakra just before he felt the sting of the fangs dig into his flesh. His mind went numb for a moment, thinking about how it would have felt but thankfully he never had to learn about it. Just as her fangs were about to dig in, he was on the ground agin and Etna was on the other side of the cave, simply sitting there. He hadn't dispelled her major genjutsu yet but he was breaking apart all of her minor ones. This was success if there ever was some to be had.
Looking to her again, she simply sat there for a long moment and looked at him. She sat as a cat would when it was feeling primp and proper. Her tail swayed back and forth, brushing small gusts of dust along the ground even with the smallest of movements. Roy gazed up into the blood red eyes to see nothing but malace and hunger in the eyes of his attacker. A cold sweat ran down his back and he knew he had to get done with this and fast. He still had a long way to go though and he knew it.
She soon grinned at him and began to purr. The purring was loud and he knew this next thing couldn't be good. He saw the sparkle of her teeth for a moment and could have sworn he saw something..something there. He looked a bit closer and soon saw...himself. He saw his own body pierced and torn on the teeth of the massive beast. But how could it be...how could he be there when he was still in one piece where he stood.
His mind raced for an answer and came to one conclusion...another genjutsu. He calmed himself as much as possible the genjutsu had a tight hold on him. he began to focus deeply and soon drew out his chakra to his mind once more.

The fangs began to show a slight shade of natta. Absolutly nothing was there when Roy finally opened his eyes. His chakra had saved him once again. He looked up to Etna who grinned when she noticed the look on the boys face. It had gone from one of horror to one of confidence. She knew he had dispelled the grusome death she forced his mind to foresee.
She began to lick her paws softly and smiled. "That's it for today boy. You did well. But of course, you still haven't dispelled this genjutsu have you..." Roy twinged at the thought and glared to her. She knew she was right from seeing his reaction. "No worries boy. It took the Earth Master 10 days to see through this illusion. You've done a lot better than her already. Lets pick this back up later. And with that, the cat began ot take her original form but of her own free will. She moved back over to the boy and sat back on his shoulder. "Lets go home. I want tuna tonight dammit!"
"You ALWAYS want tuna!" Etna simply grined at Roy's remark and they both laughed and began to converse on their way out.

Hirako arrived at the cave system. He looked around curiously. Hmmm, I've never actually been here. It's quite dark. He thought. There wasn't much else he could say about the place. Hirako looked around for a couple minutes before walking back to the entrance and waiting for the kids.
"Wellp," He said to himself, "Got to put on my scary face, this mission will decide whether those kids become ninja." He sighed and took out his book again and began reading. "Time to wait once more." All night in fact. He thought sadly. Man I need to find something to do.

(Well, i guess you can ambush us or something later...anyhow, my char is going in.)
Darkness surround the network of caves. Only a tiny speek of light tear through it. That light was moving, like a gosthly spirit. But, it wasn't a gosth...if you'd look closer. A now growing teenager was holding the lantern and he was making his way to the entrance of the network. His white and black cloth's, made him look like a spirit indeed. His pale skin didn't help it. Only the reflection of the light on his headprotector, showed his feature.
''Man, this place is creepy at night. Ah, here's the entrance.''
Houka was keeping himself reassured by talking to himself. He wasn't gonna run away and cry for his mama at the first sight of something creepy...but who wasn't scared a little by the dark? Evil always come from it, in the many legends and stories he had readed. Houka made it near a flat and solid rock, who was on the way to the cave and he crouched on it. Then, he put is lantern on the ground near him and waited for the others to come.

Ame sat above the entrance, the rocked cover her appearence in addition to the comming darkness. She heard footsteps heading her way. "That you Houka? Bout' time... where are the other two... we need to get moving or else we'll be stuck out all nigh with no energy tomorrow..."

Zanza apeared under a large tree, the wind blowing quickly around him. "good, your here " he said as the wind blew and made his hair flow with it. The night was cool and quiet, the caves, surrounded by the dence forest apeared to have a deeper, closer being lurking in them. " wheres ando? have either of you seen him seince the restrant? " Zanza asked not wasteing any time with mild chit-chat about the odd feeling of the even more distrubing place they were all standing in. He took his equipment bag and placed it on the ground as he knelt beside it. He unzipped it and took out the old metal lantern the man from town had gave him. He tied it losely to his belt, then took out the two paper lantershe'd also received. He walked to the entrance of the cave and set them up, hanging them from the roof as to light their entrance. He lit them both and walked back outside where he grabed his other belongings and turned to the others, signaling he was ready to go." If he dosen't show soon, we'll haft to start with out him. "

Amd nodded in agreement, though she didn't like the idea of leaving someone behind. "He'll come... don't worry about it..." She slid off of the top of the opening of the cave and onto her feet. "So... is everyone ready for a little exploration?" She smiled slightly, her face looked devious in the dim light of the lanterns.

Ando walked towards the entrance of the cave like he was in no rish to do anything and made his way over to the group that was about to go in for the training session. He looked into the cave as far as he could but it was almost pitch black except for some lanters that were hanging near the entrance then looked at Ame and Zanza with a fake smile on his face.
"...kinda dark. Is everyone ready...?"
He pulled his hands out of his pockets and let them hang down by his side loosely.

Ame straightened her shoulders. "I'm always ready.... as long as we keep track of where we are, there is nothing to fear. Unlees anyone her is afraid of the dark?" Ame walked over to Ando. "Did you find anythinbg that could be useful for this?"

Zanza looked at ando as he suddenly apeared. Though truthfully, He was deafly afraid of the darkness that surounded him and all that lurked in it, Zanza wasn't prepaired to anounce this. " yeah, we're all here now so lets go " Zanza said moveing threw the leaves as the crackled and crunched under his feat. He wanted to get inside the cave where his lantern could light the walls, giveing a clear picture of all around him. " I really don't feel like staying out here right now, so i'll be waiting inside" Zanza said moveing into the cave. He walked down the narrow path untill it began to split into many directions. He called out to the others " Come on already "

Ame smirked. "Someone's in a rush. What's going on in that head of yours, eh Zanza? I thought we were going to take this easy, not run in then back out." She followed him inside. "We shouldn't rush anyways... that'll keep us from paying attention to where we've been previously, and then we'll get lost. Does anyone have rope.... long rope?"
