"Hm, I guess it's true that you do learn something new every day," Dax stated. "And today I have learned that Sayael is not a morning person. That will be kept noted." Untangling his legs out from under the covers, the blonde came to his feet and gave a final stretch. "Hm.. My last night in that bed. Too bad. Oh yeah, you may have noticed already, but your things are here. Do you always do magic in your sleep? It was strange."

Jillian, already midway through the motion of kneeling and was again caught off guard. He toppled over quite easily, only sending a hand out just in time to save him from bruising his chin on the cold stone, although his palm skidded and slipped and he ended up on his stomach, anyway. He sat up quickly, but didn't make any comment. With anyone else, he might have joked or... something... but he was always rigid around Faryn. He knew the prince wouldn't enjoy any jokes or... anything... Slowly, he stood up again, this time not offering his hand. "I'm sorry," he said again, his voice a little rough from swallowing excess amounts of water instead of water.
**
He grinned. "Well, I should think it would be obvious. It's too sunny and I'm a night person, although morning is better than the afternoon where the sun is too hot and bright for both my Dark and Earth parts." He looked back at the bed. "That's a fair bit of it. There's still my horse, though. I doubt you'd want him in here. He's not exactly tame." He returned his gaze to the window, although he didn't open it this time, and shrugged. "I s'pose my control isn't anything to be desired. Stuff happens when I sleep. My little sister, Angharad, calls it my 'sleep magic' as if I was the sand man or the tooth faerie or something... At least this time it wasn't sludge."

[[Well said, Sona. It's okay Mie, like she said life > gaia. X'D I'm actually starting to work soon so my interweb time will be cut down by a lot, too. Thankfully if I get the job I want it the place doesn't even open until like 11 so I can always hop on in the morning if I wanted to. n_n Anyway, I hope you get everything straightened out with your family. :D <3
About the art trade, damn I have my work cut out for me. XD Anyway, uhm, I really don't care who you draw. n.n
@Sona: I love you. <33;; But you knew that, right?]]
Haar nodded briskly, fatigue seemingly gone for the moment. He figured a surge of adrenaline must be making laps throughout his body right about then because he couldn't quite stay put, a gloved hand tapping fervently against the saber at his side. "Well then, come along," he said before walking sharply down the hallway, his walk easily quickening to a faster pace. He knew Alti's leg, or ankle perhaps, wasn't in the best of conditions but he had agreed to coming with him...and right now he needed to get to the training hall fast.
Soon enough the two were there and Haar was running over towards Ceris who was bent over an unconscious soldier rubbing some sort of ointment over a nasty cut on his chin. "Ceris, what happened?" He asked in a less than calm voice, eyes scanning the area. For the most part everyone was gone and in the barracks save for a handful of boys ranging from what it looked to be ages thirteen to seventeen.
The older mage looked up with a troubled expression. "Haar! I sent a message to you hours ago...h-how...how did you get into the castle?"
The young man looked horribly confused, allowing himself to calm just a bit before he took a step backwards, looking around for his guest of sorts to make sure he was okay after his near run towards the hall. "What do you mean how did I get in?" He asked in a hushed tone, eyes darkening slightly in the dim light. Ceris frowned slightly before rubbing his coated hands against his robes, "The castle was supposed to be bolted up, there was some sort of ...team, I guess I would call them that, who got in, god's knows how, and attacked quite a bit of the trainees. The lock down was an attempt to keep them in the castle so we could capture them. I sent this to you about an hour after you should've arrived at the party."
The brown haired man held a hand up to his head, fingers curling around straight locks before he breathed out a sigh. "Well the castle wasn't locked I can tell you that, the guard let me in easily, and I recieved no such message."
Ceris looked slightly disturbed at the news, his brows wrinkled as he mulled over the younger man's words. "Haar...there was no guard at the front door. They were all sent to either protect the royals or the trainees...and...and where's Peyton anyway?" He asked, looking past the young commander and only seeing a disgruntled sort of teenager.
"There was a guard Ceris, I sent in Peyton first and-" Haar looked up with an indescribable expression before quickly walking towards the exit. Grabbing Alti's wrist, the young man dragged him along as gently as he could. As the two exited the doorway, Haar shouted out towards the mage, "Something's up," and then as he held his free hand out towards the door, the man muttered something under his breath before jerking his hand towards the right, a wall of seemingly solid fire filling up where a door should've been... it was a strange sight, because it was indeed something that looked like fire but it wasn't burning up the walls or tapestries near it. "You know how to extinguish it, I'll get back to you as soon as I can!" He continued yelling through his wall of flames at Ceris before letting go of the younger male with a heavy sigh.
"Still want to go frolicking through the castle with me?" He asked, trying to make light of the situation even though he was churning on the inside.

((xD You don't need to draw Tsubaki. I know he's hard. And if you draw him, I'm only particular about the marks in his eye and his face. I don't care about his neck or the rest of him. But if you don't want to draw him, could you draw Sayael, Jillian or Liao?
And thanks, you two. >< I'm feeling better, at least. I did some work with my mom (who has nothing to do with the problem, but she's very helpful and nice) and I'm feeling happier than I felt in several days.))
He made no protest as he followed Haar's quick progress. He really didn't mind pain and the magic had helped a bit. He listened intently, the gears in his mind whirring into action without his conscious effort. It was just the way he worked... Peyton... The name sounded familiar... It must have been the boy from the carriage. He frowned. Well, there certainly was something going on... He was jerked into action as Haar pulled his wrist. He had been caught off guard and nearly cried out, but his years of silence had taught him otherwise and he stifled it before it became anything. He followed Haar, his pace quickening to match the other's until he was even with the other man, despite his ankle. Alti shrugged, his eyes frixed on the dancing flames that reflected in his eyes. He had an odd affinity for fire... Perhaps... perhaps the rumours could be true. His mother had kept him away from fire too much for him to be able to find out, but... now that he was in the Fire Kingdom, surely he could examine his "condition."
((I'm a little confused. Who said "You know how to extinguish it," etc. and to whom?))

[[Oh sory, he said that to Ceris. Here I'll change it. nwn; Sorry 'bout that! About the art thing, okay, I'll take a look at all of 'em and just decide from there, usually I just pick characters to draw that really stick out to me so we'll see. :D I'm glad to hear you're feeling better. <3 Just know that you can always talk to me if you want. I mean I have no idea what you're going through at the moment but it's helpful to talk to anyone I'm sure and I'm glad you talked to your mom. :3]]
"I need a yes or no, Alti," Haar murmured, still trying to calm himself down to an state where he could really think things over. "I don't want to put you in an unneeded danger. There's a plus of staying with me because I'm sure I'd be able to protect you if needed...but, you could be in much more danger than if you just were sent to a room to stay and made sure everything was locked," he explained, almost rationalizing the whole situation in his mind. [[Oooh, short. x:]]

Faryn watched Jillian fall beside him with interest. That must have been painful. Some-- perhaps even part of Faryn himself-- might think he had been purposefully cruel and spiteful in that act. But the petite prince also had a different motive. The fact that Jillian still apologized impressed him. Pushing himself up with significant discomfort, it took a moment to stabilize himself alone. Faryn lifted his head and moved to Jillian, backing the other teen a short distance to the castle hallway's wall. Softly pressing a hand to Jillian's chest, he leaned in to speak into his ear. "Now I believe you," he whispered. Then, Faryn stepped away and surveyed the other's soaked attire. "Do you have any dry things to wear to bed?" he inquired quietly.

((Aww, thank you both so much for supporting me. It feels good because I haven't been in contact with any of my good friends (because they're out of town) other than one who I don't like talking to about this sort of thing. Anywho, I'll have my "therapy" tomorrow. Which means skating. xD It seems to take all my worries away. =3)) "I go with you," he replied. "I'd much rather see the danger than wait helplessly," the word rolled off his tongue with a look of disgust, "in my room for whatever's going to happen to happen." He sighed. "I hope that makes sense... ANyway, maybe I can help..."
**
He was confused by the prince's statement. Beleived what? That he hadn't been swimming? He frowned slightly, but nothing else of his confusion showed. He smile a bit at the question. "Yes. Luckily, I traveled to this kingdom with intentions to stay for some time. There's been some trouble from the other Kingdoms beginning to pressure your father to make a decision. It would certainly be best if he stayed nuetral, however... Beginning the war is not something to do lightly..." He frowned and then his expression cleared and was replaced by a small. "But I suppose that shall have to wate, no? After all, I have a very important appointment tomorrow."

Faryn nodded with the knowledge that he wouldn't have to awaken any more servants to grab the other teen some guest sleeping wear. "Good," he murmured, more to himself than to Jillian.
Important appointment? More important than the country's neutrality? What could that possibly be? "What appointment is that, Jillian?" he asked curiously, folding his arms as a slightly chilled breeze washed over his damp frame.

He looked surprised and slightly incredulous. "I'm having lunch with you, of course." He seemed a little hurt by Faryn's forgetting, but tried not to show it. Well, perhaps the prince hadn't forgotten. It was certainly very late. But still, if he had forgotten... That either meant he didn't intend to meet Jillian or he didn't value the other's feelings, neither of which was very appealing to the diplomat.

Faryn's eyes widened in surprise slightly. The lunch! Well... tea, to be exact, but he supposed there would be scones and finger sandwiches too. That was the tea... Treza was going to go to. But Jillian couldn't know anything about Faryn's playing hooky. It'd ruin everything. "Oh! Right, the tea date. Well, um... good night," he bid him awkwardly before starting to walk backwards down the hallway toward his own quarters. "I'll see you then. I won't forget."
Faryn nodded, took a final look at Jillian, and turned on his heel to continue to his quarters. He'd need to take another bath now... icky pond water.

Jillian sighed, knowing something was up. But there was something desperate inside himself that didn't want to beleive that Faryn would do anything - that he would just come to tea - and so he chose to ignore his feeling of unease. He made his way back to his rooms, bathed and rested back into the bed that wasn't his. He sighed and closed his eyes, drifting into sleep. He awoke the next morning as suddenly as if someone had covered his mouth and nose, preventing him from breathing. In fact, someone had. There was a man leaning over him, indistinguishable against the glare from the sun - just a black figure. But his scent was unmistacable. Jillian's eyes widened and he let out a muffled cry, instantly sending a curse the man's way. But Jillian's father had already bound Jillian's magic tightly while he was sleeping and it was useless. He turned his head enough to see that his father had been careless enough to leave the door wide open. Well, that was a little hope. Maybe he could... But his thoughts he cut off and the man pressed the tip of a knife blade to his throat, a wide smirk on his cruel face. "How about I leave you with some nice scars to show your pretty little princy pie?" ((Nnn... I've been reading too much "Inkheart" with all the bad guys and knife blades being used an' stuff. I'm addicted. I started it yesterday and I'm over 300 pages in. =o Nn, and as a note I forgot Jillian's father's name so he'll just be... I dunno... Enoth. I can remember that. It's from the Amber Spyglass... and they had it from what's-it-called one of Metatron's forefathers. =o))

"Tooth Fairy, indeed.. I could definitely picture you in a frilly pink dress and wand, thieving children's teeth from them in the late hours of the night, Mr. Goth Prince," he said, joining the other boy by the window. To the far left he noted some of the other guests already out and about. Aside from the dancing in the evening, the party guests were invited to participate in a variety of games, riding, etc. during the day. "I hope this 'sleep magic' doesn't happen far too often. It jolted my senses enough the first time. My nerves will simply be on the fritz if it continues."

He shrugged. "It's usually small things... flowers that spring up in unlikely places... But I wasn't sleeping outside tonight so it should be fine, although you might want to check your garden before we leave." He wandered back over to the bed and lifted up the pillow he had been sleeping on. "No daisies," he said with a smile.

((@Tato: fomg. OoOoOo suspense. I hope peyton's okay<3.
@Mie: ... it makes me happy inside to see more character development and suspeeeeense 4laugh 4laugh -happyhappy- ... well, poor Jillian. But still. Niiiice. ))
Faryn awoke a small boy servant to draw him a quick bath and quickly scrubbed the scent and feeling of pond from his body. It wasn't bad-- just... noticeable enough to his fine nose. After the bath he grabbed a new pair of the same type of boxers-- he had quite a few-- and soon was back in bed and fast asleep.
The next morning, Faryn woke with a lingering tiredness. That nighttime episode had taken away that crucial hour and a half of sleep he could've used. And the soreness in his back reminded him it was going to be a long, uncomfortable day. Rolling out of bed, he quickly dressed himself in his usual black attire-- his pants were a little more loose and breathable than normal, but he would be travelling a bit more than usual today. A lightweight black tunic adorned his upper half. A black duffel bag that was stuffed with various outfits and magical possessions sat at the edge of his bed. He'd given a list to his trusted servants the night before. They had known precisely what to pack. The nice thing about this particular piece of luggage was that it was enchanted to hold more than it appeared to be capable of.
Perhaps he ought to go check on Treza and make sure she'd stick to the plan...
Leaving his travelling cloak and belt on his bed and dispatching a boy to go feed his horse and begin to get him ready for a trip, Faryn exited his quarters.
