"Told ya."The heat subsided as Quint ended his spell, allowing the cool breeze to hit his sweating body, a welcome feeling. He dropped his arms and his head, happy it was finally over. His face lost its anger, and allowed the old Quint to come out, his eyes regaining thier brightness, eyes that look like they could warm hearts. He looked at Morrigan, now sorry for what he did. "I'm sorry..." He began, his body standing still, enjoying the cool wind, letting it get rid of the sweat that soaked his body, "I didn't mean to do that...I don't know what came over me.." l Morrigan l "Well Quint, considering I've been doing this for 327 years and you're but a mortal, I feel a congratulations is in order for you not immediately dying. After all, someone this strong and exciting deserves at least a little something from me, don't you think?" "Well.." He said, his voice getting it's classic suaveness, "If you think I deserve something...I've always loved gifts.."
"You're...er...I'm insane."
"Yea, I know. But, I wouldn't be me if I wasn't."
"Haha. I love yo-....er...myself.
"I love me too. I love me too.A warm smile crept up on Quint's face, happy that he and her were on good terms again, and now he was getting a present, which made his eyes sparkle like a young kid's during Christmas.

Soul panted and shook her head, shaking off her vigor. She lowered herself back down to the ground, wrapping her wings around herself to make up for the drop in temperature.
"So, you two are done?"

I won't except any apologies darling, but only because you shouldn't be sorry about anything. You should be proud of what you can do. Don't ever be ashamed for your own prowess in battle, but if you are, don't ever let me see it. smile

"I'm just...amazed that I did..."
Shaking away his thoughts, he asked, "So, what about my 'little something' from you? I seem to remember you saying something about that.."

You'll find out later darling, I promise. But I think we're almost at the lighthouse now, so have Soul heal you up and let's go. We still have a bit of touring left before we head back to the estate. smile

Large rocks and broiling fat/water/oil thrown by defenders tended to work pretty well against it. Of course, the Romans weren't stupid enough to just walk up to the walls like that... xd ))

We still have a bit of touring left before we head back to the estate. smile "Ok. Hey, you mind if we hold hands again? You know...just because.." He blushed slightly saying that. "Just...not my left hand." Chuckling softly, he looked at it again, it nearly was rubbed raw, and a small trickle of blood still came from it.

Perhaps... just maybe...
"Lead the way. It's nearly dusk now, and I want to see the lighthouse!"

Soul walked behind Morrigan, eyeing the other girl curiously. She followed close behind, her wings still wrapped around her as though it were a warm, glowing cloak.

He then looked at her, her green eyes warm, and he gave her a caring smile, his eyes sparkling as the sun started to set. "You mean I'm not cute when I am trying?" Morrigan frowned. She was joking of course, and walked closer to you, almost nuzzling your side. She seemed to like you a lot more since you've shown her how strong you are in battle. Cautious of Soul's staring, she walked towards the lighthouse with Quint.
