On a Friday edition of Friday Night Throwdown, the show would kick off with CWF Champion Matt Gennison having a heart felt emotion of words to say for Monday Night WAR's Roman Reigns, touching on the attacks by Roman Reigns and issuing a challenge to him at this upcoming Taboo Tuesday Pay-Per-View. Afterwards, the CWF Throwdown Women's Champion would take on Ruby Riott of the Riott Squad, in which Ruby Riott would have the champion's number, being the second person in CWF history to defeat Becky Lynch clean, earning herself a title match at CWF's upcoming event, which is one night only, showcasing Genesis. With the help of the Riott Squad, Becky Lynch would still have her guard up, but in the end, Ruby would walk away with the pinfall victory over the champion in a non-title match. Asuka would make her CWF In-ring debut against Eva Marie, in which she would make very very short work of Eva Marie, submitting her seconds within the sound of the bell, making it possibly the fastest win in CWF history. Afterwards, Sami Zayn would take on Hellfire in a non-title match, where the two would put on match of night. With a vicious Hellfire bloodying and battering Sami Zayn, Sami would show fight, kicking out and surviving, proving to everyone he has the right to call himself the CWF United States Champion. But in the end, Hellfire would come out on top, thus placing him on top in the division to contest for Sami Zayn's CWF United States Championship at Taboo Tuesday. In the main event, Matt Gennison would take on the wrestling machine Kurt Angle in a non-title match, in which Matt would defeat Kurt Angle with the use of two Rainmakers. It wasn't an easy win for the champion, however, as Kurt Angle would of had the champion's number. We may see this encounter sometime again in the future. After the match however, Roman Reigns would invade Friday Night Throwdown, and assault Matt Gennison once again, laying him out on the canvas as the show would close out.
