Kick to the junk! Kick to the junk! ...the Mantra Demons just kept coming, and while he hadn't even summoned his Demons yet, the pile of bodies was already climbing higher than most people could imagine as he continued to take out each of his nemesis' with one well placed shot each time. By this point, they were literally calling reinforcements in to let them know about the legendary demon slayer, who delivered judgment one low-blow at a time, and made even the manliest of hellspawn run home crying. He'd sent them packing for quite a while now, and the herd was thinning, but that didn't mean that his ferocity was dying down at all. Instead, it was only growing as he unleashed life-ending embarrassment after life-ending embarrassment, and the grin on his face made it clear...he was actually enjoying this whole arena-style battle with the Mantra. It amused him to ruin their little cult in such a fashion. In short, f**k those guys.

Some surviving member of the Nihilo faction was now token'...up, and he was buying his herbs with precious demon tokens. Macca was a rare and valuable commodity around here, sought by strong and weak alike, and this stoner just happened to be sitting here blowing it all on some blow, like nothing had even happened seven days ago to throw them all in disarray...it was unbelievable. There were many who were relying on him in this situation, putting their lives on the line with the understanding that he'd be doing the same, watching their backs like a hawk and striking whenever an opponent strayed too close, in order to spread the fear of his name. But nope, he was just sitting on a stoop, taking a puff of some ol' jumbalaya...and the good looking man sighed, deciding to just take his money, and walk away. There was no point in wasting demons on this situation...beating him up and taking his everything was just easier. It might send a message, too. Don't. do. drugs. kids. Especially not during the bloody apocalypse, for crying out loud.

Only a token resistance remained from the Mantra demons. This didn't appear to be their city, or if it was then they were shying away from any confrontations with him until a critical juncture...and though he didn't plan on seeking them out, some stragglers inevitably remained, both to slow him down, and to challenge him because they doubted the claims of his tremendous, unwavering power. It was the weak and the foolhardy who attacked simply because they couldn't accept the gaps between their desired power and their actual limitations, and though he would have spared them had they turned around and fled, attacking him meant that they'd forfeited their lives before the battle even began...and though he didn't mind sparing those who clung to life, anyone who attacked him had committed what was akin to suicide. And he did not spare dead men walking...

Woah Nelly, hit 'em in the d**k! In just three moves Bel sent a dozen demons reeling, all of them now left with no options other than to get a sex change...because any pride they had as demon men just went out the window, after he dealt a nigh-lethal blow to their jimmies without holding back his demonic power in the slightest. The Mantra were fools, sure, but it seemed they were evenmore foolish than he'd thought before, since they sent a second wave at him. He wanted to find the humans from Inaba who showed promise, like Soji and the others, and convince them to trek down the path of true freedom, away from the yolk of demons and false-pretense bearing gods. But it seemed that his prey was far more illusive than he thought. If they had already pledged themselves to being Restorers...to being changers, or Mantraists...any path they chose, meant it was too late for him to sway them. And while Dante would support his quest to send all Demons back to their realm, and seal the gates forever, he would only do so if he could convince the humans to join his side. It was, after all, a path that was rebellious to both Hell and Heaven, and even the remnants of humanity that existed in the Shomonkai cultists, and other religious factions would consider them heretics, rebels without banner or lord...as such, Dante would only walk the path with Bel if it was one humanity chose. And Humanity was indeed choosing, but without them, it seemed. They were merely strays, vagabonds cast adrift in the flow of time and space...always abiding, yet ever without the power to change the currents or tides. The thought would have pleased some...but to Bel, to the one who watched humanity make the wrong decision, powerless? It was infuriating.

"Uncle?" A voice squeaked behind the group.

Nia had finally caught sight of the orchid hair, and felt relief wash over her like she hadn't felt it in a long while. He was alive. He wasn't hurt...and he was being hugged by a girl with long, wavy hair and surrounded by two other guys. Just...what was going on there? She approached, only catching those last words the girl had chirped. Nia knew Nito had a lot of siblings...but she hadn't heard from nephews or nieces before. It was...probably not a surprise,; the Nekata family was numerous, but... it still sounded a bit strange.

But...she could ask about it later. First...she needed to let Nito know she had finally found him. She opened her mouth to speak, before her slimey demon slithered...oozed...-what was the word here?- forward with its silly cap and foam finger in search of its idol. At long last...! Johnny Preta was there! Finally the #1 Fan would get an autograph!

"Um... Just what is that thing?"

She should have expected that answer from her uncle. He wouldn't be that easy to convince, and when he had an idea on his head, it was near impossible to dissuade. Still, the girl chuckled and shrugged her shoulders, "Well, that is unfortunate, uncle. Though this should make things a little more interesting." Her gaze turned to Kou just then, nodding in return to the challenge.

And that was when her aunt decided to show up, looking as confused as ever. "Auntie!" Kyouko exclaimed, but kept her distance from the green haired girl. Unlike Nito...Nia wouldn't take it so well, she knew...and right now, she would need space. That didn't stop her from talking as if she were talking to her actual aunt back in the Corrupted Future. "It is nice to see you here! You look good! Now I see why people kept saying Nico was your spitting image! Nori was more like you personality-wise, but... yeah!"

"Back to business though...we can continue talking when we get this challenge over with, yes? We will show you just how strong we've gotten. You two would be proud."
