Rep had used his jumpy one, so this was going to be...the drainy, shadow one. WIth the other, Harrison could catch him, but this one-

Sometime in the midst of what Robert was saying, Mimsy found it no longer possible to refrain from touching Alice, apparently having forgotten how it felt to be touched without prior earned acceptance and permission. Her thin fingers were gently passing through the little girl's hair, smoothing out the frizzies and flyaways that were probably an inevitability within a zombie invasion. When she'd made it adequately neat again, she removed a star-shaped pin from her own hair to adorn it with, smiling as she fastened a lock of hair out of her face. The smile remained as she looked up at Robert, patiently waiting for him to finish shouting at Rep. "And if he is not alone? If we are outmatched? If his antidote is a permanent measure to prevent an outbreak outside this building?" The smile was maintained with great strain to do so, but from her posture and the rest of her expression she seemed to be on the verge of a panic attack. "I have retained antidotes from our mission to the asylum. I cannot guarantee its effectiveness here. If we wait as we have planned, we might face the risk you have implied." Did good intentions still count as 'good'? That didn't seem like enough. With such excruciatingly high stakes, she had to be positive that she was doing more than enough. "Does you opinion remain the same?" she asked, fidgeting with the edge of his coat.

"Yes" Was all Rep said, before he finally let his fear take hold, it was satisfying when he was so frustrated, slipping into the stretched feeling this one always imposed on him. Normally Tracey's shadow broke free from those around solidifying up to attack with long swiping claws but here the darkness was everywhere and so too was the weapon, attacking again and again and again until the black flesh was rent and bleeding thick viscous ichor.
Just when he felt like he could handle no more, Tracey snapped back into place and the world was clear again.
Rep laughed in a sheer adrenaline rush and relayed Tracey's own wild and giddy comment, both of them caught up in the heady afterglow of the very dangerous fear.

Taking the chance she'd given herself, she backed up a step and held on tight. Thaw glowed in her arms, and the glow passed on to her body, covering her skin with licks of white, harmless fire. It brushed against her injuries, leaving her skin markless and perfect once more. Her shield was all but healed, and the light of her heal had been just enough to give her a chance to really see what she was fighting. But it was the sight of the light slowly dying out, as the creature crept across the floor, that really made her stomach churn. "Ah, s**t." Oh my God this is so typical. You are probably having a hormone. I left my hormones behind about like...two reincarnations ago, but yours are probably so strong they are still with you even when you are a badass axe. I can't believe this.
The Book disappeared, and Harrison seemed more surprised than anything else.

There was a calming effect to the warmth and almost suffocating protectiveness in Robert's arms. The child had all but forgotten she was with strangers, because he held her like a father, and she had nothing left to reach for. When Mimsy's hands reached up to brush her hair, she did not recoil, and she did not react; apart from flickering needy eyes up at the woman, silently questioning why they weren't moving yet. The star pin brushed that question out of her eyes, as she reached up to touch her new present. "Is it pretty?" She asked Mimsy, the most painful kind of exposed trust visible in her eyes. The idea of Rep permanently preventing an outbreak made him shudder so hard it shook Alice in his arms. "Christ, he can't be that far gone. Can he? If he permanently does anything, I'll permanently prevent him from coming home - unless whoever actually sent him on this mission doesn't get to me first." He hadn't known she'd taken the antidote from their last mission with her, and the new option filled him with insecurity and thrilling horror. "We don't know what that would do to her." He murmured, brushing his hand carefully against the girl's back. The rest of his sentence was mouthed out to his wife, out of her reach. What if that was bad for her? Are you sure it's okay?

Rep blinked and looked more than a little dazed. "Did you just.... summon a ******** book?"
He had enough of ******** pissing around in the chocolate shop and this time when he struck, it was enough to send the infected flying back out through the broken glass and into the opposite wall of the shops.
"Taym would be jealous."
Tracey was still irritated at B0nez and quickly distracted. Rep relayed even as he pursued their prey back out into more open spaces.

She heard it skittering along the floor. It was on all fours now, and it saw fit to try and swipe her every time it came closer, only to get a trident cutting and jabbing at its surprisingly giving flesh. The sounds it was making were horrendous, and the smell..Not one of our better brothers. Thaw commented. Not one of your brothers at all, dude. This isn't like you guys. The trident was swiveled around until it's prongs were raised up, and she slammed it down into the floor, breaking through the tiles of cheap mall flooring with ease. It dug in, and began the process of crackling jagged red all around her. Each crack in the floor began to bubble and hiss, bursting straight up into the air in a wall of fire and brimstone that the zombie screeched away from. It surrounded her in a semi-circle, keeping her safe from harm. A splendid use. Thaw sighed out, relieved. She pulled the trident out of the ground, and jabbed it right through the barrier and into the zombie's lowered skull. It jolted backwards, unexpecting the blow through the rain of fire that kept it from her. The pissed off, half-blind, half-maimed zombie launched itself at them, and Harrison got pinned to the ground. Struggling, he stuck B0nez in the thing's sternum.
And, considering all the s**t it was dripping, he kept his mouth and eyes firmly closed.

It was too far to attack now. She couldn't pass the barrier to get to it, so she tried, on her toenails, to attack it from afar. It was a spectacular failure.
