"STOP FIDGETING!"

With a triumphant and disgustingly gooey jerk the majority of that ankle contraption tore itself out; no doubt much to the dismay of Sunstrike as blood began to trickle down the back of his pant leg.

"...what the hell? It'll never heal right with all this metal in there..."

And at that point he would begin to dig his fingers into the open wounds, trying to dig out the pins in the bone.

"There's nothing ******** in there BUT METAL!!!" Instead of stopping Sun's hands started to try and pry Joshua's off his leg, he'd scream if he thought it'd do him some good.

His fingers slipped against the warm red of his own blood but he managed, nearly bent double to try and yank his ankle away, pulling sharply against the hold.

No ******** powerless...

"You'll end up killing me!" Again his good foot snapped heel first into one of Joshua's knees, more out of desperation then anything else.

"I intend to!" was his answer; his leg buckling slightly when Sunstrike kicked it, but still doing nothing to relinquish the hold as he dug his fingers through the shredded flesh that the salamander was calling an ankle.

"But not-" with a sudden shove he threw Sunstrike over; taking a step back and wiping the blood from his hands onto his pant legs, "-until you can stand without crutches, wethead."

Sun made a disgruntled sound as he fell over with a thud, half pulling half dragging himself away a little, before rolling back to face Joshua. Somehow he didn't trust himself lying facedown in the dirt with the guy at his back.

"I can stand without crutches..." He said softly, pulling his good leg underneath him, and levering up onto it painfully. Bits of metal ground with an awkward sound and he winced, but he was standing. "I just have a hard time fighting."

He looked at Joshua head on and shifted just slightly. "Doesn't mean I'm backing down, or did you assume I'd run away."

"I kind of hoped you'd hold still," he said with a scowl.

Leisurely a bloody finger pointed to his leg.

"You're not standing right. Do you have some other injury under there? Don't even bother fighting if you don't even have one good leg."

"I've had a rough couple of days, I wouldn't doubt a few bruises." The truth was that Sun was having a hard time staying in control. The pain and panic made the nasties in his mind roll around a bit, which started the change in motion. He scooted backwards. At the moment it was nothing meditation wouldn't fix.

Physically however the heat would start to roll off him, making it hard to concentrate on who he was keeping an eye on. The odd stance was, well...scales didn't form on Sun, they burnt to the surface, boiling away the skin. It started close to where the pain began, but far enough to spread the load, as it were. It'd be no good if he couldn't change because of shock.

"If you don't want to kill me like this then go satisfy yourself somewhere else Joshua, I've got things to do."

"And I've got the rest of your friends to hunt down once I'm done with you. How's your leg?"

Likely it hurt, and there was blood smeared everywhere on the cuff of his pant leg - but the wounds had closed.

He folded his arms, and couldn't help but to grin. The heat was only a small clue as to what was happening in Sunstrike's pants, but there were others that stood out much more.

"I'll tell you now that you won't get through this by holding back..." he said, "so you'd better stop me before I get to them."

He could smell it from here: the magic in the air that was boiling off of the salamander. It was the kind of power that didn't come easily, but that kind was always the most potent. He'd already dug into new wounds to make the salamander suffer, now he'd dig into old ones until Sunstrike brought out what he was hiding.

A little ways up the hill from where the two were scuffling, a pair of mirror like eyes watched the goings on patiently. The air was chill, it was pouring rain outside the cave's mouth... despite being out of the wet, the dampness that clung to Aiysin was drearier still it seemed at this moment. Her mists of obscurity cloaking her in a damp silver lining, she couldn't help but shiver despite the waves of heat that began to roll off of her charge far below her.

If anyone happened to look 'up' the cave's mouth would look empty, even to Sunstrike who knew of Aiysin's existence, would think that she was still back at the DSG covering up his disappearance. Instead, she sat at the edge, feet swung out over the side, watching the fight somewhat gloomily.

Holding her right arm at a weird angle so that the bracelet on her wrist wasn't blocked or hindered by any fabric and had a clear line of sight to the fight below. The mirror and moonstone pieces inlaid in the silver-bangle, glinting-- not that anyone could see.

Her left arm crossed against her chest, as if to keep her warm as she watched the scales burn to the surface of Sun's skin.

(( Dunno if you read it further back Josh, but Aiysin doesn't have very many abilities besides gatekeeping. Her other strong ability however is her obscuring mist that conceals her from both physical and magickal senses. Just in case you would react to her at all.))

Sun snarled softly, draging his leg a little to the right in an attempt to pace, to think. He was cornered, wounded and running out of options. The last time someone had made him change, he'd had more escape routes, more control. Now, with Vahn tying up the majority of his magic, there wasn't any control, no master to hold him back, not that there had been to begin with...

"It's not that easy Joshua, they can handle themselves better then I, you came first because I'm the weakest of the four." He was assuming the reaper was talking about his teammates. Red steam flowed from his right shoulder and down his arm, more scales bubbling to the surface. Sun didn't want to change, other things were telling him this wasn't an option.

His vision was going bad from the loss of blood, he'd have to do one or the other soon, else there'd be no option left.
PostPosted: Sat Apr 21, 2007 10:49 am

The Reaper laughed and shook his head; arms folded across his chest, and stains of Sunstrike's blood on the front of his shirt before this 'fight' had even begun.

"How do you know you're the first?" His tone was as deathly serious as the grave. "Maybe I already offed one or two of them... maybe that punk rocker or the fruit?"

He referred, of course, to Wu-Tang Lad and Captain Fufu.

"...like this," he added, "there's nothing you can do. You don't have a chance to win. You, and everyone else, are going to die because you're too weak to do anything about it."

If the pain and the insults weren't enough to force the salamander's hand, the blood loss would. It was just a matter of bleeding him out long enough... if he survived that long.

Sunstrike

PostPosted: Sat Apr 21, 2007 12:12 pm

The orange eyes narrowed and Sun shook his head to clear it, limping all the way to the reaper and staring him right in the face. Blood smeared the ground and hissed in bright red splashes.

"Better to die a weakling then to be erased as a God. Do you bargain, or will you not even allow me a final game, Joshua." Barring any interuptions his hand would reach out and touch the blood on the other man's chest, at first lightly and then clenching the shirt in white knuckles.

"A bargain death dealer, or you get no satisfaction of a fight."
PostPosted: Sat Apr 21, 2007 1:40 pm

The Reaper grabbed him by the wrist in reply and clenched his fist tightly around the arm.

"No bargain, wethead. I won't be satisfied even with a fight if all you can do is cry."

Sunstrike was shoved away violently, and a fist suddenly came down towards the right side of his forehead.

Sunstrike

PostPosted: Sat Apr 21, 2007 2:29 pm

Sun skidded backwards the fist connecting solidly and driving him to a knee. His head opened in a long gash, and he was left staring at the ground for a few moments, any thoughts driven from his head. Blood seeped into his eyes and he let it, uncaring or unknowing.

A long breath was let out of his lips, like a sigh.

"Fine."

Silence came uncomfortably before the first popping sounds began.

The leg pulled itself upwards and he placed all his weight on what only could have been his shin bone and levered himself to a standing position. The knee was wrong, it started to bow backwards and extend, flesh and fabric tearing and searing alike.

The process itself was quick, usually he had time to scream, though, this time he simply went through it as if changing clothes. A means to an end.

One step and his back made a mess of itself as it extended, growing taller, another and there was a tail. Finally the figure pulled itself upwards and almost strained against Sunstrike's face before ripping it off like a mask.

Light flickered through the hair and became crackling fire, any further liquid was burnt off.

The being simply stood on two legs and looked at Joshua, heat radiating off in waves. What weapons it had seemed to be attached to it's heavily armoured torso like arms that had no hands. The metal gleamed strangly, like forged flame.

What is it you want, petit mort.

The voice was surprisingly feminine. There was no face to speak of, simply a grill like structure that served as a form of breathing apparatus. How it saw Joshua wasn't clear, but there was a readyness, an anticipation.

Joshua stepped back to allow Sunstrike room to grow. It looked like at long last the salamander was willing to show what it had been hiding. He couldn't help but laugh as he raised a hand to his eyes to shield them from the sudden gust of hot air as the transformed creature bled out heat like an open furnace.

Pain wouldn't do it. Threats wouldn't do it. Insults wouldn't do it. But when nothing works... hit it harder.

"So that's what you've been hiding..." said one monster to another as he lowered his hand and cracked his knuckles.

"What big teeth you have, wethead."

The helmet lifted back and she laughed.

You DARE presume I am wet after the first meeting, little death? I hardly know you... The tail lashed as the knuckles cracked, and that was all the warning this "monster" would give before she lept for him.

It was like how a rhino impacted, her head ramming for his chest and the bladed arm coming up to thrust and launch the smaller man into the air.
