"Yes?" He asked as he looked to Pale after seeing his guest out. It wasn't the first time someone intruded in their household, but he hoped it'd be the last now that they had a child.

"Come and lay down with us, you have to be tired..tell me about the fight with Quintilius, how did that go?" she yawned and looked up at Jay. Curious, but tired. Illiana slept peacefully.

"I'm back in one piece, aren't I?" He asked as he came to bed and nearly collapsed as he got in it. "I lost...but at least I came out unscathed. Just a busted knuckle..."

It really worried her that the newcomer Quin was able to best him, but she was too tired to put coherent thoughts together at that point. She mumbled something about a crib, Aes, and Jay going to sleep before she started to drift off.

He didn't even explain her the terms of the battle, or the fact that he was more focused on returning home all right than anything else...but he watched her mumble and drift off. His job wasn't done yet however...so he got out of bed and sighed, heading to wed's shop.

Jay felt sleep overcome him once or twice as he made his way up the stairs to their room, putting the crib down and sighing. He really needed to get back to training soon...he was getting rusty with his physical skills and even he didn't know how good his arcane skills were.

(ah, you must be the new RP'er for our daughter. Heya! razz )
His last job was putting Illiana in her crib silently and gently, hoping she wouldn't awake as he gently draped a blanket over her body and smiled. He would return to bed, giving a yawn and instantly go to sleep.

She woke up a little late in the day and stretched out. The sun wasn't even coming in through the window, it must have been about the afternoon. At least then they...wait, two days bedrest, right? Could she get up? "Jay?" she said softly

Jay just kind of grumbled for a few minutes, then he woke up. It was obvious he didn't get enough sleep as he would have liked. He pointed to the crib he had recently purchased from stiches and needles and said "Ta da...Illiana's sleeping in it right now"

Her eyes widened and she smiled "Really? Oh, that's so sweet of you to get that. I wish I could have come, but hey, some good news. It's been two days so I can start walking around and all that fun stuff! These stitches have been killing me."

Jay would grin and give her a hug, saying "Glad to hear you'll be up an about. I'm not done yet though...I need to paint that crib. The paint that's on there seems to be chipping off" He said as he got out of bed with a yawn and then said "How'd you sleep?"

"Wow, you're really jumping into the domestic life there," she joked, giving him a little kiss on the cheek "I slept pretty well, better than I usually do. You look a little wiped though hun."
