I think what Ertai and Vinny are confusing is the degree of tell/prep-time I was inferring to.

I think that are having a hard time understanding what I mean because of how I established my character and his overt flashiness.

However I want to clear their misguided assumptions by once again denoting that a tell can be as simple as body language before a punch and that prep-time can be as short as making a fist.

I feel like with your characters tendency to hit flying knees from the other side of the room, very little prep time is necessary lol

I remember back in the day. Hiding pertinent information in pages of words was a valid strategy. Taught to me by the MXers.

Not that I'm suggesting Ertai is doing that. I enjoyed his last post. I feel like when its time for him to be concise and to the point, he will be.

Well that's why I put warning and prep-time in the same category.

Everything Heita does is suppose to be fast...not I don't have time to react fast but more so OH s**t I BARELY DODGED THAT! fast.

So in order to balance the character... You see it coming.

Bright sunset aura for every powered move.

Because Heita isn't an assassin, his a bruiser.

He does heavy area damage through concussive strikes akin to being shot by high caliber rounds.

He is a sentient hand cannon.

I think it be cool if we list all of characters into class like bruisers, assassins and such.

that's like designating weight classes... it would be pointless.

Everyone does fit some sort of archetype, like most here seems to be bruisers.

Well that is the nature of the community.

Within our community it is difficult to play something akin to a true mage or a true archer at these competitive events.

I would put Jay as an outright bruiser. She has no long range attacks at all, and prefers to get down and dirty with hand to hand...Knife to face etc.
That and she isn't very subtle about it either. sweatdrop
