The singer held the hot cup of coffee in his hands, tilting his head upwards as Fredrich kissed him goodbye. He raised one hand in a farewell, smiling gently as the detective left. "I love you!" he called as the door shut, walking over to the table and sitting down. He picked up the newspaper and began to read, perfectly content in his own world. Around thirty minutes later, the brunette was showered and primped to near perfection, leaving the apartment to go pick up his son.

"What's going on?" croaked a familiar voice just after Fredrich agreed to allow his former lover to stay in his apartment. Stepping into the room was Ellery, brown hair tangled from sleep and whatever else had occurred in the dark and clothed in nothing but what appeared to be one of Fredrich's t-shirts (in fact, nearly identical to the one on the detective right then) and went down to his cream-colored lower thighs.. The songwriter rubbed his neck as he entered the area, blinking groggily at Ethan. "... Are we having guests?" was the first thing he thought, immediately looking around for Lock.
Finding no bouncy blonde, the brunette stood at the table near the orange-fanatic, confused by everything that was happening. Green eyes shot up to Fredrich, panic hidden deep within the irises. He didn't dislike Ethan or anything, but the thought of him being here made him nervous.

Ellery furrowed his brow. "Here?" he repeated, the worry escalating. How did Fredrich not understand his discomfort in this? Maybe he should go stay with Lock the night, maybe then he'd understand why he felt this way! Deciding not to voice his concerns, Ellery forced a light smile and sat at the table, crossing his legs and clearing his throat. "I suppose I'm a little hungry too," he answered the Austrian, scratching his neck as Ethan addressed him. "It's fine, Ethan. I understand how hard it can be to live with Lock. I mean, he moved into my apartment when we first started working together."
Inside Ellery's mind, he started to cancel meetings that were previously planned, including one that required him to take a plane all the way back to Korea for a week. Like hell he was going to leave them here while Ethan and Lock were fighting. After all, Ellery knew who Lock was, and he knew that he wouldn't relent until he was sure that Ethan was genuinely sorry, which would likely take a week at the least.

Having already pulled his cell phone out of somewhere, the young brunette was already texting his blonde friend about what had occurred. He blinked at Lock's angry summation of the events, now sure that the two teens needed couples' therapy more than anything else. With a tired sigh, the pretty songwriter looked up at Ethan and shook his head. "Look, he's really angry. Just let him stew for few days, then go and apologize with something he likes." Before he could really say much else, the phone rang, and Ellery hurried to answer it.
"Hello?"
All that could be heard was angry yelling. After a few minutes, the man cried out "ALRIGHT!" and hung up, standing with a headache forming once more. "I can't believe this," he murmured, walking over to Fredrich. "I have to go in and meet with our manager with Sang-Min, Eun-Ho, Haneul, and Bae this afternoon. Are you still working on that case with the missing foot thing?"

"If you're sure," breathed Ellery as he set a slim hand on Fredrich's shoulder and brought them close for a sweet kiss on the cheek. He smiled a little, content for the moment that at least his relationship was working out alright, and looked back to Ethan was a cool gaze. "I should have some of Lock's old clothes stuffed away in one of my suitcases. They're too long for me, so I've been using them as nightclothes when I go away. You can wear those until we can get more of your clothes over here." With a firm nod, he shot a small smile to the other brunette. "And don't worry. Sang-Min's just a hothead who needs a little attention every now and then. One day, I'll tell you about the time he camped out in front of my bedroom window for two weeks just because I was more involved in my first girlfriend than him."
Chuckling a bit at the memory, Ellery returned his attention to his lover and sighed. "Are you positive you can handle them both at the same time? I mean, I wouldn't mind missing the meeting, it's not like it's incredibly important." That itself was a flat-out lie, of course. This meeting was more important than Ellery wanted to admit.

Fredrich fixed Ellery with his usual stoic look, though anyone that knew him well enough would recognize it as a look of disbelief. "I've looked over both of them before, Ellery. I'll be just fine." he reasoned and handed the songwriter a plate of eggs. "Now get ready for your meeting now that you're up. Daniel doesn't have school today. I think I'll take a day off and watch a movie with him."
"Let's watch Frozen." Ethan instantly suggested, only to smile sheepishly when Fredrich looked at him. "What? I like it. The songs are catchy." he said while rubbing the back of his head. He liked singing the songs with Lock sometimes, but he had a feeling the Austrian wouldn't be willing to cooperate. Maybe Daniel could coerce him... It'd sure be a sight to see grumpy Fredrich sing about building a snowman.

The detective raised an eyebrow at Ellery then watched him leave, chuckling to himself. There's the jealousy he was waiting for. It was a rather dark-hearted and cruel trick, but he thought it was cute when the songwriter got jealous, and Ethan just popping up on his own was like a blessing in disguise.
Speaking of which, Fredrich turned off the stovetop and moved to hand the confused brunette his food. "Don't worry, they'll adjust in time." the Austrian assured while sitting in the spot Ellery had been sitting in. "Han's the same when it comes to terms of jealousy, so I'm sure he'll be storming in here sometime soon. Until then, we'll look at some flowers you mentioned so that your idiot of a boyfriend will forget all about the fight." he said.
