Noze drifted through the rocky, watery terrain whimsically. Where did he have to go? The place seemed pretty ritzy. A little, what he assumed was a decoration, flitted up to him curiously, and he reached out to catch it.

The word drifted through his mind and he paused, staring at the fragment as he tried to digest it. Were those the Words the Goddess had asked for?
Better pocket as many as possible if it would get him in good.

Not long after, she quickly snatched up a second fragment, tucking it away as she listened to an unknown voice murmur things she did not understand. Whatever it was she had been hearing since finding these things, the least they could do was complete their sentences, rather than spew out a few words that made no sense.

The detour lasted a lot longer than she had planned, as she was determined to explore a good amount of the area. If she was lucky, she might even find some of the fragments by chance.

Her exploring led her a good ways away from where she had originally arrived, but even then she had no such luck in finding any fragments, save the two she had tucked away.

Despite his vigilant wandering Altairas hadn't been able to get close enough to a shard to capture one and it was growing frustrating. The grey figure loomed onwards towards a glint he suspected was another elusive fragment. He reached for it slowly, as if this was a process that required patience and skill... Success! The fragment was warm, and upon contact he heard a subtle whisper. It was an unusual experience, but Altairas didn't let it distract him from his new mission to expand the collection.
Altairas was so focused on the task he assigned himself that he failed to notice the figure in his path until they were face to face. Altairas recoiled, feeling an unusual mix of disdain and fondness towards the stranger. He couldn't identify the source of the feelings, but he acknowledged their existence all the same. Unsure of any other way to greet the stranger, Altairas simply patted his head.

Having found another, he held it close, waiting for the words.
"No! No, I got this, I got this."
The more he listened, the more he grew confused. How did these help him with anything? At least the warmth was nice though, and helped him forget about the less-than-helpful phrases. Really.
