Thean finally gets to the top of the rubble pile under the bridge and reaches for the shard. She only glances off it and proceeds to shove t deeper into a corner.

Leaving the rubble behind, Naiad continues deeper into the ruins. Passing by others like herself. Then she sees another shard and cannot help but wonder why she feels drawn to collect the things. Still she walks over to it and somehow manages to pick it out of the broken window frame it seems to have once been part of.

Leave me alone? Who's "me"? Acerola asked herself. She once again questioned if the fragments were talking to her. She didn't think they were capable of thinking for themselves.

Thean reaches again towards the fragment. She again glances off of it and the fragment jumps out and hovers in the air behind her. Thean becomes very frustrated.
Acerola once again reached for another fragment. She became eager to hear these mysterious fragments that seemed to be talking to her in her head, but not because of what they were saying. They seemed almost unrelated to her.
The next fragment seemed to emit maniacal laughter. It wasn't calming the slightest, and wondered what the laughter was for.

Thean gathers up herself from the rubble and jumps toward the fragment. The burning need has filled her. Her hand closes around the tiny light. Success! She has done it. She skids down the rubble pile and glances happily at her shards.
Thean continues on her way to nowhere special. She spots another fragment in a bundle of wires on the side of the road. She begins to walk over.

Thean ambled over to the bundle of wires where the fragment was sitting. She grabbed the bundle and began Untwisting. It took a bit, but eventually she cupped another fragment to her chest.
Slightly disturbed by the last fragment, but not quite enough to quench the urge to hear yet another fragment, she reached for another one. However, this time, Acerola didn't seem to reach as far as she should have, and the fragment, maybe sensing that something was approaching, fluttered away.

Acerola reached for the next fragment, feeling something akin to frustration, but it was more like a flicker where her core was that faded away as fast as it came. Maybe it was this strange feeling that caused her to miss the next fragment as well.

The slight feeling of frustration came back once again. Maybe Acerola needed to calm down? Of course, Acerola had no idea what was going on. She reached for the next fragment, but it evaded her fingers.

Holding her four shards of light, Thean felt so accomplished with herself. And yet, those fragments didn't seem to fit together right. She looked up and saw another light. Maybe one more would do the trick.... She scrambled onto a bridge to grab the last one. This one didn't put up a fight at all and she grabbed it. She felt a sigh escape her as she heard a voice say "sight." hmm that was weird. She walked on to another part of the city.
Aeon stepped into the dim world with a sigh, finding her spirits a little damped upon seeing the dreary weather. The buildings were odd, though with not having any memories of anything, everything was bound to seem different. But, she had a request from the goddesses, so there was no time to dally or wait around.
The burning rain however, was a surprised. Aeon hissed a little and ducked back under a near building entryway after darting out into the rain. "Good grief... wasn't expecting that. This will get interesting."
Fortune seemed to be smiling upon her for the time being, as there was a small fragment resting on the ground near by. Picking it up, a short vision flashed before her eyes. There were others there, a small group. They were all laughing and having fun, then it ended.
"Hmm... peculiar little things these are. Just 4 more."

Finally, Acerola was able to touch the next fragment.
A horrible shriek rang throughout her core.
What was that? Acerola thought. She decided that she had enough with the fragments. As long as the screaming had nothing to do with her, she stopped worrying about it.

Hmm, it seemed that these others might not be as easy. Aeon had spotted another, but there was no cover in sight and it was sitting in a pool of the acidic rain. While she wanted to impress the goddesses, not at the expense of her self.
