The fan. Everyone's worst enemy. This was what cost her last time. Hopefully, she would be able to jam it. Unfortunately, she felt that her luck was against her. The debris bounced off and hit her.

Not having many options, Acerola threw debris at the fan again. Maybe next time, she would try the other option, but right now, it was too late.
Her luck was really against her. She wasn't even able to make it past the fan this time. As the debris made contact with her face, she felt her vision darkening....

The first thing Mara noticed was the heat. It made something uncomfortable stirr in her, and for a moment she considered leaving...but at her core, she was stubborn. There was nothing for her where she had come from, but there could very well be something ahead; ahead she went, approaching the glow to find what looked like a forge.
The sense of impending doom never left her, no matter how carefully she walked to inspect the area. A lot of things did seem to be fire-themed, and on three separate occasions she found herself being burnt or shot at.
It did nothing for her nerves.

Further inspection of the forge lead her to a dead end. Well, not really a dead end, but a frozen end. She stared at the area before her, looking around for the source, and finally she found it: a giant fan, blowing pure cold at that one space. There was no way she was going back, so she had to go forward...which meant disabling that fan.
She looked around, grabbed a nearby thing, and threw it at the spinning blades. It stopped almost instantly, and she took the opportunity to head through.

Behind her, the fan whirrled back to life, cutting off her exit. The only way to go now was forward, and her heart pounded heavily in her chest. It was a long way, and what was worse...she could see the heat rising off of it. Squaring her shoulders she took a careful step---
And almost immediately faceplanted into hot, sharp metal.
On the plus side, now she knew what that one kid felt like. That redling that totally wiped out beside her in the last battle.

Marati's screaming died when the heat subsided, and she could feel her skin singed and her face felt like it had melted in places. It was not a nice feeling, and her heart continued to thud rapidly, absolutely terrified by there she was and what she was doing.
Fear drove her then and she bolted, recklessly running the rest of the way and practically leaping over any obstacles in her path. The end was in sight, and as she broke through, she didn't stop to consider the blessing she had been given; it was a blessing enough to be out of there.
She ran as far as she could, blessing in tow.

She was back for more in this facility, but this time she was even more determined to get through it. Taking a running start she tried to get through the room without incident. The tests were strange and several things hit her but she managed to get across with only a little bit of pain. Mel'ae stared forward. Third time was the charm?

Andie managed to make his way back to the forge and with a frown decided to take it on again. He still had two orbs to collect after all. Though by the time he was through the first part he was painfully wondering what he was even doing back here again.
