To her opponent it seemed like her attacks had been successful and to her well... What was going on with the gem? She held it up to inspect it better, seeing the wisps of something escaping.
Suddenly something came out of the creature and Kasumi grabbed it in time for the first creature to appear and saw the crystal would heal her fear core. It was slightly confusing but she shrugged and put it next to her core to see if it worked. Just as it said, the cracks healed and the core stopped letting out the fear. She grinned, feeling better then paused at the question of what her wish was again. Nothing came to mind yet though to her disappointment.

The shadow dropped a small crystal that landed and rolled near Ceres. Intrigued, she shifted her crossbow to one hand and picked it up from her kneeling position. When her "guide" suddenly reappeared, Ceres nearly raised her weapon before registering who it was and setting the weapon down for a moment. At it's advice, Ceres brought out her red jewel and studied it. Once she looked closely at it, she finally noticed a faint hairline crack marring it's surface. Still, caution won out in the end and Ceres shook her head. "It might make me more stable but I feel fine for the moment and the jewel isn't badly damaged." She said thoughtfully before putting the jewel away again and placing the crystal into a separate part of her outfit.
When not in battle, Ceres seemed to be a bit more calm but that wasn't yet a certainty. Right now, the shadow wasn't attacking her and Ceres wondered if this would be a good time to try to find some of the others her guide had hinted at earlier. While she still found it rather annoying the little creature was actually proving to be somewhat helpful in the long run. Picking her crossbow back up again, Ceres took a moment to consider the question. What was her wish? Ceres really didn't know. "My wish..." She shrugged slightly. "I still don't really know. But I think it must have involved someone important to me..." Her voice trailed off then. For a moment, she almost thought she remembered something but it was elusive, gone almost before it was even a feeling. "For now though shouldn't we be focused on survival?" With that comment, she stood and took the quiet moment to try and look around for anyone else who might be nearby, part of her attention always in the direction of the shadow creature who had attacked her earlier.
Macy waited for Melony to respond before shifting her gaze towards Zelda. What did she want passed to her? That was when the orange haired girl heard something clink against the ground, landing just behind her feet. She turned to stare at it, a small crystal that had presumably fallen out of the folds of her skirt. How...how had that even gotten there? Had it dropped off of the tendril that had attacked her? She really had no idea, and bent down to retrieve it, when suddenly the little cat-rabbit-goblin thingy returned.
Hang onto those, those are important! They will help replenish your Fear. Why not try using one right now? It is pretty simple, put the crystal next to your Fear core. >
<Helping replenish your Fear will make you more stable as well. >
"M--my Fear..." She started, and then remembered her gem which she had tucked back into her skirts. "It's...it's not so bad, really. I think others might...well, they might need it more.." She whispered, clutching the crystal tighter in her hand.
"L--like Melony.." She realized this with a widening of eyes, and turned back to the girl that Zelda was helping to stand.
< Speaking of Fear, do you remember your wish now? >
The words were heard, but not responded to, as she held out the crystal towards Melony.
"H-here. Take m-mine." She whispered, not looking up towards Zelda this time, afraid that the other girl would chastise her for being stupid and giving away what could be used to heal herself. But Melony really did need it more, didn't she?

Jamie pushed herself up, still losing black mist from her wounds, and ran a hand over her face as she let out a sigh. She was tired. She didn't know if anyone had a spare crystal they could give her--and with how useless she'd been in attacking, she wasn't sure if she deserved it.
But she really looked as if she could use the help. "Does... does anyone have a spare crystal?" she called out.

Kasumi spotted another Reaper near by and with a grin walked over to her. "Hello. I don't suppose you remember anything thing before all this?" She asked. Was it just her self that didn't remember or were others in the same situation?

It attacked obviously, she wanted to tell Macy, but she was younger and well...this was a kinda scary situation. Oh who was she kidding, it was terrifying the more she thought about it. "Just keep calm," Zelda told the younger girl with a level, slow tone. Better than that, though, Macy gave hers to Melony before she could act to do it herself. Zelda fiddled with her own crystal, her normally all business expression softening for a moment. "Nobody's allowed to go sour milk on me, got it? How're you feeling, Melony?" She passed May the same look before, with a roll of the crystal, she offered her first genuine smile. "Want to hold mine then, kid? I might get caught up watching it for people, but you look like you could handle a big responsibility."
Well, she must have not hurt him too badly. He was still standing, at least.
And then suddenly something, Etain can't tell what because it's moving so fast, streaks out of the assailant and just as it reaches her, time slows. She feels every agony of being ripped apart. It feels forever. The pain.
And then she's okay, well mostly. But she feels drained, as if he's taken part of her life force. She looks down and notices her soul gem is now tainted black.
So tired. Must not sleep.

Danitza was halfway through formulating some grand tale of why they were here (albeit missing a few pesky words that felt like they were on the tip of her tongue but wouldn't quite make it out) when the creature interrupted all of their conversations...and something interrupted the creature,
She hung back, waiting to ensure survival before she got too close. And when it seemed safe enough, she moved to strike.
Hestia decided this was really very creepy and all but she really wasn't a big fan of the whole dying thing.
"No, but really," she said conversationally to no one as she swung the staff around, managing to land a glancing blow on...whatever it was that was now in front of them. "Has anyone else noticed that we're in a pretty terrible situation here?"
Way to state the obvious, Hestia.

She tried again, did marginally better than her last hit, and decided it was definitely the fault of the staff and definitely not her own fault.
"Man, this sucks!"

"SPARKLING ACID BLAST!" screeched Hestia as she flung herself forward, cheerfully swinging the shepherd's crook around and looking somewhat like a lime green bouncy ball.

She had been currently running a hand over her FEAR core, starting to notice there were very faint cracks in it. Nothing to cause immediate alarm, but enough to tell her she had to be careful, or she'd suffer the same fate Tatiana had a moment ago.
When Thalia addressed her, she looked up, the core de-summoned into a ring again. "I picked it up from that creature." She pointed at the abomination that some of the other girls still seemed to be fighting. "I'm not sure how, but I think, maybe, depending on how hard you hit it, maybe it'll end up dropping one? Or maybe it's by chance..."
Looking around, she saw several of the girls worn out, some worse off than others, but she also caught sight of some holding a crystal, and let out a sigh of relief. Though... she hoped that those less wounded would hopefully save it for someone who ended up taking more damage. She knew that she herself hadn't escaped unscathed, but from the looks of it, this was far from over. They needed all the help they could get, and that meant they couldn't afford to lose anyone.
Turning her attention back to Thalia, and then Avlar, she gave them a curious look. "Did you two not find a crystal?" Another girl joined the party, and it seemed she had picked up a crystal, but if luck was going to be fickle with them... well, they needed all the luck... and help, they could get.
