*Shortstras crouched so he was near her and talked in a low tone, "i need you to understand right now the only one i can fully trust is you. So in a way i'll be leaning alittle more on you for a while. since i woke up today i've been feeling diffrent, and of course it makes sense after what happened earlyer. But i feel like i have a sixth sense or somthing. A feeling in my gut about diffrent people, even when we were walking in town. In this house i have a feeling about cyril. But i'm afrade that my, feeling my claud my judgment, being i never really liked him much. We need to keep a carful eye on him, little details matter. As for keria, well shes going to swich over and over again, it's inevaitable,so thats going to keep happeneing and so willl the things she does. And although, and yes i'm aware she may be lisening in, i can't trust her right now. I can barly trust myself. So i will be reliying on your trust, since we are connected. It's a burrden but..." he chukkled and patted her head, "thats what your for." he smiled.

Asher nodded. "I understand." She glanced to the door, things in the kitchen were quiet. She thought nothing of it and looked back to Shortstraw. "It's true. I've never really liked him either, but mine wasn't a gut feeling. I just don't like him. And Kiera will be all over the place, too." She chuckled. "I suppose you can trust Mai, too. I'm pretty sure he isn't about to spill your guts on the floor anytime soon." She nodded. "You can count on me, however. Don't worry about it."

*He nodded, "i'm afrade i'm worrying too much all the time." He stood up, "I'm going to... bed." He nodded and scratched the back of his neck, "and thanks. I'm afrade what i might do, and what i might become." And with that he turned and quietly walked up the stairs and into the room. He was standing infront of the merror, the ensuit door still open, but he stared at himself, he noticed his eye twitch just slightly... "things are going to change soon..." he whispered to himself leaningonthe sink in thought. He was peicing things together still in his head. Was he okay?

As Asher made her way back into the kitchen, she found Cyril and Kiera just eating their food quietly. She sighed and hopped onto the table, Kiera looked to her. "Where's Shortstraw?" Asher flicked her tail back and forth nonchalantly. "Tired. He went to bed." Kiera nodded and pushed her empty plate forward, before she put her hands on her stomach. "Well all right then." Cyril looked to her. "Ain't ya' gonna go ta' bed too?" Kiera shook her head. "I didn't have a chance to tell Shortstraw, with everything that's going on right now, but I'm going to visit another kingdom." Asher frowned. "Tonight?" Kiera shook her head again. "No. It will take longer than that to get there. Of course I could just teleport, but I have to go a few places on the way." She stood up and walked over to the counter to put her plate on the side. "So I'm leaving for a few days. There's a ball." Asher's eyes thinned. "And you're not going to inform him at all?" Kiera flicked her wrist and sat on the counter. "I was hoping you'd do that for me. I have to arrive in time. And with the state Shortstraw is in now..." She stopped her sentence there, and looked to Cyril. "Look after the house for me?" Cyril nodded but was still unsure. "This is all a'bit sudden, Ki. Shouldn't ya' talk 'bout it first?" Kiera shook her head. "No time. I have to go." She knew Shortstraw wanted to talk with her tonight, but she couldn't. She simply couldn't. "Royal duties." As Kiera left the house, Asher's eyes thinned further. "I don't remember Eve telling her to go to some ball across the kingdoms."

*Shortstraw closed his eye, "Ashers the only one i can ask for help right now." He opened his eyes again, "he looked to his hands leaning ont he counter, they were shaking slightly. "What a horrable birthday..." He slamed his fists down suddenly as the sink fell to the floor and water stared to spray out. As soon as it broke shortstraw jumped and suddenly started to try and fix what he broke, "damn it..." he shied and tossed the sink aside to the floor and made a face, "damn. Now i'll have to go to the store and get some new fittings." he shrugged and grambed somthing down the pipe so it would stop leaking. He then quickly mopped up the water ont eh floor witha towl and grabbed his coat. Meanwhile as he came down he found keria at the door, going out aswell... "i sorta... broke the sink..." he conffesed, "i'm going to buy a new one and fix it... any chance you have that card..." eh asked alittle ambariced. He hoped she wouldn't ask about the sink. Meanwhile he was hopeing asher would come with him. He needed her too, but he could just say that outloud, and why was keria at the door aswell? Where was she going?

Kiera winced. s**t, this wasn't supposed to happen. She hesitated for an alibi. "I have to.. go out." She brushed her hair back casually as she walked out of the door. "Emergency from an allied kingdom." She lied. Alter ego was always better at this stuff, but she had to get away, she had to get moving. She reached into her pocket and brought out Shortstraw's credit card, then handed it to him. "Here, I got it a couple of weeks ago and forgot to give it to you." She didn't care about the sink for the moment. "I really have to go. I'll see you later." She kissed him before she ran into the night. The further away she was, the more comfortable. Good, good. She wanted this visit to be as painless as possible.

*Shortstraw staired after her as she ran off. "She's up to no good." He shied and grabbed the door, "lets go asher." As asher was on his shoulder he closed the door and ut his hands into his pockets as he walked, she may have been able to feel it right now, his body was trembling. "do you know where we can buy a new sink in town anyways?" he asked makeing a face, "i can't believe i broke a sold sink into halves." He dicided to just let keria do whatever this time, he didn't need to get hurt again trying to follow her like every other time. More or less, and he knew it was selfish but, he needed to worry about himself right now.

Asher shrugged. "Gotta get a hold of your strength, Shortstraw. Something like Yoga would be good for that. But I have a feeling that you wouldn't be willing to do something like that." She chuckled. "I made Kiera do that for a couple of years, obviously didn't do her any good. But that's just bound into her personality." She nodded. "And no, I don't know where you could buy a new sink. Not at this time, anyway. It's really late."

*SHortstraw shied, "yea i figured all the places would be closed. I'll just have to get one myself." He walked up to a hardware store. His hidden blade slid out and he esisly picked the lock and walked in. He went to the illes and grabbed a new sink, and a couple pipes. A few tools, and he walked to the register to swip his card, he litarly charged himself for the items. He then walked out witht eh door locked behind him witht he supplize, "i bet they had camras but frankly i don't care right now." He took a breath, "i don't know what i'm angry at, or why. I just feel like... eh nevermind. And no, yoka wont work, though it had to be funny to watch keria do it." He chukkled as they entered the marshes again.

Asher gave Shortstraw a look before she laughed. "Yeah. Hours of amusement, I'm telling you." She yawned, then stretched her shoulders. "You should try some stress relief things anyway." She nodded. "Your book, you should write in your book. It'll make you feel a little better, hopefully. If not, we'll try something else." Asher was genuinely trying to help, not that she ever did anything else. She was always a good one to rely on, never did anything wrong. Ever.

*When shortstraw got near the cabin he slowed down to find Ava hacking at a tree with a semitar, (the pole with a blade on the end) and she stopped as he stepped up. "what are you doing?" She stopped and smiled, "Training. I do this so i can get stronger." Shortstraw tossed all his stuff in his hands asside and nodded, "then i'll shall be your oppenet. Give me all you have." he didn't know what he was doing, but he wasn't at rigth in mind anyways. She thought aobut it and hesitated, but she trusted him so she rose up her semitar, "alright then!" She started to swing it around and swung it both high and low at shortstraw as his hidden bladed swung from under his hand and he simply moved his hand makeing the weapon recoshie off like it was nothing. "Lession one, learn your opponet from there movements..." suddenly he was behin dher and he kicked to forword to the gorund, "then decide there next movment, pridict what they will do from point A, to B, to C. Pay close attention to there stile, and only strike with all your fource, when your sure you will either culse them off ballence, and you will land a hit. Your trying to put too much fource into your swings. He picked up her weapon and started to swing it around. "this is light, so it should be easy." he handed it to her as she got up, "again. This time strike with only alittle of your effort, but without your enemy noticing, then when you predict there move swich to a harder fource to land the hit." She nodded and started to attack him again as he blocked like before, then however she thrusted the semitar forword with all her might, and she gashed as the head of her weapon flew into the trees, shortstraws face was hidden, his arm rased. "Give it more practice." he then turned and left her as he walked into the house with the stuff, he even kicked open the door as he walked in and wen tupstairs, "i guess maybe writing it out would help. your right, i'll give it a try tonight. He set the stuff on the floor and set asher down outside the door of the room, he patted her head, "thanks again. Goodnight." He stood and closed the door.

Asher stretched her front legs and sighed, shaking her head. "Teenagers." And with that she went back downstairs to help Cyril with the cleaning before he also went to sleep. She thought for a second about following Kiera, but then quickly lost interest. She was last on her to-do list, recently. Well, not exactly recently either. For a while now, Asher had grown to despise Kiera, nor did she hide it. She only offered council to Kiera if it would do Shortstraw some good, too. And helped her because it pleased Shortstraw.
In the morning light, Kiera approached a very large waterfall-infested castle with pure white bricks and birds adorned at every balcony. There were no villages around near the castle, as it popped up on the top of a snow crusted hill which blended into the appearance of the castle. This was a cold country. A watery country. She really didn't like it here. Nearing the glass like front gates, she was faced with two sentries twice her size, and wearing white armour and holding pikes. One blocked her path with their weapon and looked at her through the holes in his helmet. "Do you have an appointment with the king?" Kiera backed up a couple of steps and shrugged back her hood from her face. "No, actually. I have some business with the prince, though." The two sentries instantly bowed. "I'm sorry, princess. I didn't realize it was you." Kiera held her chin high. "It's fine. Just let me through, I have to see him." One of the sentries stood up. "I'm sorry princess. We can't let you through. The king is-" A figure appeared from behind the gates and called out, interrupting. "Kiera! My fiery dove!"

*The room had some sounds coming from it, as shortstraw fized the sink he broke. And soon it was quets again as shortstraw was sitting on the bed with a lamp light on only as he starte to write a new story, something compleatly diffrent then the one he usally wrote. He could not sleep, too much was on his mind. But after writeing for hours and hours he fel asleep withthe pad of paper on his stomach and the pencal still in his hand. The sink was fixed and the lamp was still on, even till morning. Which he for once wasn't up like usarl just yet.*

Cyril was up early, making some cooked breakfast. Asher just sat on the table and watched as he flipped the sausages. She wasn't particularily attracted to the thought of the taste of those things, but a mortal feeling made her taste buds well up and the animal instincts told her to pounce on them and run away with the prize. In the end her self control kept a hold of things, even as her tail twitched from side to side. "Ya' know ya' can 'ave some if ya' want, Asher." Asher shook her head. "Oh god no. Eating mortal food is a vulgar activity for a demon. I don't need such luxuries." Cyril rolled his eyes. "Whatever ya' say.."
Kiera grunted unhappily but put on an excited face just for the sake of sanity. "Ahhh... Sean.. Hi there." The two sentries shrugged to each other as they opened the gates and the boy pounced on Kiera, tackling her to the ground. "You visited me! You actually visited me! Oh my dove, you make me so happy!" Kiera held an unamused face and shoved him off her. The guy had long-ish pure silvery white hair that folded like curtains to show his bright cyan blue eyes. His figure was a lot like Cyrils; Tall, slender and ever so slightly muscular, as most teenagers. He was Kiera's age exactly, too.

*Shortstraw suddenly awoke when somthing hit the window. He jumped and looked up, sitting up. He put teh pad of paper and the pencil to the side as he opened the window and a bat flew in, and shifted into Soflora, "Shortstraw hiya, sorry to wake you. I found somthing interesting in the hideout." She nodded, "Some of the men didn't leave. Oh but theres more i came here for!" She pointed out the window, "theres some men all lined up headed into the city. They are making culsing a roit. The townsfolk seem to be fighting them off, but there... not doing well. They seriously don't want these men to enter the town." Shortstraw nodded and put his coat one, "I see. Vary well in that case i guess it's up to us." He smiled, "and thanks for letting me know, great timing." He opened the door and they both marche don down the stairs, shortstraw whisled, "Asher trouble, coming?" He replied as they headed to the door quickly.
