“Someone has to be.” The words came out automatically. “Would you, really?” Interesting. Horsemen had always struck Wilson as a race that hardly cared about the fate of humanity. Whether humanity died off or not was hardly their business, it seemed. He laughed weakly as he passed the finish line. “That’s true. This is just another endless cycle. Competetive? Oh Jack. Being on Aymet's team for events had helped him do well, for the most part, but now he was in his element and he was pitted against him. Thackery had to pull out his best tricks. He leaned forward as intensely as he could to make the car go faster. "It's so slowwww, why isn't this working?" he complained, scowling down at the controller. Smashing more buttons would definitely work! Apprently, that really was the trick to making the kart function better: it veered off to the side and took a shortcut that he otherwise might have missed.  Quote:

"That's the thing about War; there are always casualties on both sides. What constitutes victory? It's not as simple as whose still standing in the end."

Passing the finish line, Senga stood up, glancing at the marionette doll for a long moment before shrugging his shoulders and moving away.
"Like I said, its all a pointless conversation."
He turned and left, because he wasn't sure he liked the boy, but he wasn't sure he disliked him either.

Leaning forward meant that Thackery had a really good view of what was happening for both of them, so when Aymet ran across a shell, he was just as alarmed as his opponent. "What?! What was that? Did I do that to you?" He thoughtfully paused. "...and if I did, how...?"  Quote:
