As the boss they'd finally defeated turned into hoards of undead again all Michael could think was, well it was nice knowing everyone.
He knew there was no way he was going to be able to take all the fighting again without his Fear shield. He was very very mortal now and mortal didn’t fair well against these monsters at all.
<<Michael! Michael! Look!>>
Huh? Glancing towards where he'd last seen their crazy leader Michael could have let out a sob of relief as he saw a portal. He would make it. He would.
Stumbling up Michael cursed as he tripped on his weird uniform, curse turning into a barley restrained scream as one of the undead stepped on his arm, probably fracturing it.

She didn't turn around and yet still the trainee found herself flailing each sickle madly in a blind rage. Who knew the glassy-eyed zombies could reflect that much light!

Clerise stepped in and Candace raised a brow. The hell was this? Candace shrugged, about to answer Clerise when Sasha's raised voice cut her off. "That's fine, just thought I'd offer my assistance. You're a big girl, you can go on your own." She shrugged again, glancing back at Jerry as he scowled at her.
Her heart sank into her stomach as her eyes took on an even glassier shine. She backed down immediately like a dog with her tail tucked between her legs. Stop ignoring me, Jerry. Please. Stop. Pay attention to me. Pleasepleaseplease. Pay attention to me. Clerise and Sasha were forgotten to her now. She wanted Jerry to pay attention to her. Please. Oh god please. "Jerrbea--..I...ah..." Think of something to say think of something to say! She couldn't beg him to give her another chance here in front of everyone. He didn't want to acknowledge her presence. She couldn't just force herself upon him. She couldn't even hug him. ********. ********!

Zombie's found on this wasteland multiplied like rabbits. Ugly, gross, smelly rabbits. This fact was dully noted.

Minerva let out a cry of distress when once again she was running blind.
....At least all the flashing lights meant SOMEONE was doing work.

She was, honestly, getting closer...right? At some point she would hit the portal and go flying through to the other side...right?!
The trainee reached out with both sickles to rake at a zombie in front of her, successfully destroying yet ANOTHER undead, but also managing to hit the ground face first. When she found her footing again, her coat was being worn properly.

Michael stumbled up, cradling his arm as well as he could whilst still holding Nuucha out defensively, before trying to run towards the portal again.
Trying being the proper word. He barely got a foot before the pressing undead and his uniform once again tripped him.
Ow that was going to bruise deeply.

<<Dude just ditch the stupid thing!>>
But that'll leave more flesh exposed for them to try and attack!
<<They're doing that anyway! Just ditch it! >>
Michael let out a huff of breath before reaching down and pulling apart the belt on his uniform, the rest of it sliding off easily without it holding it together.
And then he ran in his undies all the way across the rapidly disappearing bridge and straight through the portal.
On the other side he simply collapsed again, not caring about decency any longer. He was a collection of vivid bruises, scratches, bites and his arm still felt like it had fractured.
Oh and still no Fear shield guys.

This. was. hopeless. Blythe continued to urge the trainee forward, but the endless swinging of her blades was beginning to wear her down...

<Sasha, Nona knows what you are thinking. Do not do it. Do not do it to your Nona. You mustn't, my dove, please. Please. Nona is begging you. Begging.>
Sasha would have to apologize to Clerise and Candace later, she really would. But at the moment, Nona's incessant screeching, begging and pleading was becoming more and more difficult for the young woman to handle, and it seemed that the only way to stop it was to take Jerry up on his offer of water.
"Gosh, Mr. Jerry, sir. I would just.. I could just kill for a glass of water right now. And a sit. In a corner, you know? Like..." She waved a hand, doing her best not to touch Candace or Clerise, "...away from all this noise." Sasha carefully disengaged herself from Clerise. She hoped they wouldn't be upset. Normally she could handle Nona's ramblings, but for once the Alkonost had gone quiet and it was a blissful sort of thing. She was certain that Nona would have plenty to say later, but for right now the silence was worth upsetting either of the women that had offered so generously to help her.
It wasn't their fault that Nona was feeling so.. ah.. charged up.

"Then find a seat and some quiet and I'll be right back," Jerry assured her, his smile wavering ever so slightly. He was happy for the excuse to walk away. Don't look at her. Don't make eye contact. It's just asking for trouble. He swallowed, giving a polite nod to Clerise before slowly limping his way to the hall where he knew the water cooler and it's paper cups wasn't so far off. Just a bit of air while they wait for Allen and Simon to come back with the rest.

"No need to shout, peaches," Clerise said with a laugh, tugging on her wrist, grip still firm.
No offense, Candy, but she saw this one first.
Plus, she was so precious that she kind of needed protecting from everyone. Including herself, sure, but no way was drunky mc drunkerton getting his paws on her.
Aw, but then, she was taking Jerry up on his offer.
"Do me a favor, captain alcoholic," she drawled in his direction, giving him the evil eye and a curled lip sneer. "And try not to let any of your horrible influences rub off on her? Thanks."
She was stewing-- Clerise hated not getting her way. Hated it.
