Lorne heard the snap of a twig behind a tree, and he whirled around knives drawn. "Alright!" He said, readying the blades of fly. "I heard you. Come on out. Nice a slow." He then smirked, "Don't try to run away either. You'll just die tired."
Alexandre had drawn the Desert Hawk, having also hear the sound of someone sneaking up. "Was the threat neccesary? I do believe it was your lovers Elemental that led the intruder to us." he said to Lorne. "Come out. If you mean us no harm, then you have nothing to fear. Why are you sneaking about?"
Madison squeaked when Lorne and Alexandre drew weapons and prepared to attack.....something. She try to huddle behind Oralee, frightened. "What....whats going on?"

Godelieve flushed at Madison's statement, being used to them by now. "Okay, I was worried, you can't just run off like that." She blushed furiously at Alexandre's statement about her being Lorne's lover. "Wa-wait a minute here, I-I'm not.." She just hugged Pet closer as the men in the group spoke to the person.
Vasilisa walked out from behind the tree and looked at the odd group in front of her. "I wasn't meaning to sneak, the boy ran off and I wanted to make sure he got back to his mother." It was the truth and she looked at Slaine and blushed softly, looking back to the soldier. "I'm Vasilisa, and I was just looking out for the little boy, now I'm lost and can't find out how to get back to town." She continued to glance up at Slaine, and back to the ground. Stop this, Benjamin is waiting for you, you can't start feeling like this again. It'll only hurt.
Pet looked to Alexandre. "Sorry." It was better to apologize now, better than later. He hugged Godelieve and even extended a hand to Lorne.
Godelieve straightened up, and held Pet against her hip. "You can see he is fine." She held him protectively, like a mother would and walked closer to the stranger, her other hand close to her dagger. "He said he was fourteen, yet you carry him like a toddler and he is the size of one. That guy said he is an elemental? What is that? That isn't a kid." Godelieve took a mother's stance. "He is a child." Her voice was starting to get louder. "He's made of earth and my blood. He is MY child. Don't you ever say he isn't again." When she made her point of instilling this into the stranger she walked behind Lorne, and put a hand on his back, trying to calm herself.
Vasilisa had never been spoken to like that before, especially not by an elf. "I didn't mean to offend you..." She didn't feel bad at making this elf mad, but she did feel bad that she had offended her. Benjamin is rubbing off on me a bit.

((Just to keep the flow going a little bit)) Alexandre lowered the Desert Hawk, reattaching it to his belt. "It would be wise not to upset her. Few things are more dangerous than an angry mother." he said looking Vasilisa over. It was a risk, but he was going to take it. "Perhaps you could make it up, by helping us? Lorne, Godelieve and Faelynn needed to pick us up some supplies. Perhaps you could guide them to the Marketplace, and then point them towards the castle? We have an appointment, but we also need supplies picked up."
Lorne sighed and hid his daggers. He reached back to touch Godelieves arm, to reassure her. "Yeah, that'll work. Nye just needs to give us a list, we'll pick stuff up, and be at castle in a jiffy." He then shot a look to Vasilisa, "That is if the little lady is okay being seen in the company of both a beastial and an elf. Though, I suppose Faelynns presence should help with that." he said, not forgetting the mindset of the country they were in. This girl could try to have Lorne arrested for looking at her wrong. And he had weapons drawn on her.

Sophie moved closer to Shade as they walked and gently placed a hand on his arm. "The guards will not be much help. Any accusations I may have would be laughed at because of my race." She replied her eyes now scanning the area for an escape of some sort. That is until two larger men blocked the narrow path in front of the pair. Reflexively her grip tightened slightly on not only Shade's arm but on her bag as well. Yet at the same time her face remained a mask of calm.
"So we've got an ugly lizard woman and a blind boy. Don'tcha know beastials in this territory have to pay a tax. Anything good in that bag of yours?" One of the men inquired.
Sophie's eyes looked toward the man speaking and glared slightly before a smile played on her face. "Nothing that would be of any value to you or your cohorts. Now if you would so kindly let us pass I won't be forced to be unpleasant." She responded now allowing her forked tongue to flick out of her mouth and sense the air. From behind her there was movements as one of the men went to grab her bag. Releasing Shade she twisted and gripped her attacker's elbow with one hand before plunging her nails into his forearm and extracting them in one motion. Much like a snake bite she had injected a poison into him. In seconds something was visibly wrong with the man as his movements were suddenly stiff before he collapsed to the ground paralyzed. Flicking her hand she sent a small splatter of blood and poison across the road before looking back at the assumed leader. "Now care to reevaluate your actions?" She asked with a smirk before the enraged man made a motion for his group to attack. Frowning she looked toward Shade. "I apologize in advance." Sophie stated sorry she had dragged him into it before dodging a swipe from a sword.

(On my phone, no colors) Though she had been smiling ever so slightly at the antics of the elemental and his 'mother', Oralee stiffened at the sound of the twig, and though she didnt draw a weapon, as the men did, she shifted her bow into her hands, prepared to strike if necessary. Oralee stayed on guard when the noblelady appeared, noticing her flickering glances to Slaine. She let the others do the talking, calming down and replacing her bow as they spoke. When Godelieve started yelling about how Pet was made of her blood and earth, Oralee walked to her, and gently placed her hand on her shoulder. "Calm down, Godelieve. She meant no offense- they simply have more linear viewsets here." As Oralee looked at Vasilisa, she appeared to be a small, human girl, with brown tresses. It was one of her musician forms- the one she would use in the castle. "We're on edge, so I apologize. Would you be willing to guide these three-" "I'm going too." Slaine said firmly, but not overly loudly. He couldnt say why he felt the need to go with. It wasnt like he doubted his sisters safety- Lorne alone was more than enough to keep her safe. Except... He felt a compelling urge to go with them. Especially when he glanced at the lady with the pearl-colored hair. "Just... Just in case you need another to carry the supplies." Slaine added. Oralee raised an eyebrow at him, flickering a glance at the newcomer. Hmmm... "Very well... would you be willing to guide these four to the market? I believe you mentioned being lost though, didnt you?"
Loa frowned when she mentioned theyd gone on a trip so long ago. It was such rotten luck, that wouldnt have been that long before she'd left Exortensis. Her train of thought was abruptly ended, however, when Kailey linked her fingers with hers, and Loa's mouth dropped open. "A-a what?" Was she cute? Loa didnt know, couldnt believe it. Distracted, though she had claimed her hand back to write down all the instructions Kailey listed off, Loa almost didnt notice when Kailey had paid. "Oh! Oh, wait, I can pay for this!" Loa reached into one of the pouches she'd hidden the money it- divied up to be less noticably- and pulled out the amount Kailey had just paid. "Miss Kailey, I can not allow you to pay for this, here, let me pay you back." When she spoke of meeting the boy, Loa hesitated. It'd be a scandel, her bringing a beastial to treat the prince. And what would she tell Kailey when they got there? "I-I-I could not let you do that. It is very far away and... and I am afraid you might be in danger there. I am from Exortensis, and that is where the boy lives..." Loa couldnt pass this opportunity up- if Kailey was still interested, Loa had to take her to see the prince. It was their best shot.

Kailey crossed her arms, narrowing her eyes at Loa. "I'm not taking your money, so you can just put it away." When she heard Exortensise she stiffened for a moment, "Well, I've never been to Exortensis. And I think I can handle myself. I am a warrior after all." She said gesturing to her various weapons, "And did you forget that your beastial too sweetheart? Come on, I want to do what I can for the boy. And if you want I can leave once I've seen what I can do." She then smirked and winked, "That is unless you want me to stick around." She said leaning in close to look into Loas eyes.
Lorne shot a glare at Slaine. "Umm, doc, one thing about that," He said stepping up to whisper to Slaine, "Did you forget we're hear to save someone? What if the attack happens before we get back? Shouldn't we have you there to, I don't know, save his life? Between myself, Godelieve and Faelynn, we have enough hands. And you know I can protect Faelynn." He then glanced back at Vasilisa for moment and smirked to Slaine, "Or did you have a different reason? Has little Slaine started to notice girls?"
Alexandre sighed, "Dr. Cael, I would hope you would go to the castle with us. This is an important meeting, after all. Though, If you wish to go gallavanting, I cannot stop you. But nor will I be held responsible for any problems that may occur in your absence."

Vasilisa frowned. "I am just fine being seen with any of you." She said it in an appalled tone, until Oralee spoke. Vasilisa blinked, she had seen her before. When she claimed they were on edge, she nodded. Then Slaine spoke up and just his voice made her blush. She glanced up, then curtsied. "I can lead you guys around, if you can help me find the front gate of course." She smiled brightly at Slaine and Oralee and smiled apologetically to Lorne and Godelieve.
Godelieve felt reassured and took a deep breath, kissing Pet's head. When Oralee asked her to calm down and explained, she sighed. "I should've realized that. I'm sorry." She walked with Pet on her hip, and looked to Oralee. "Could you watch Pet for me, he likes to wander." She held him out to her, smiling.

Loa frowned a bit when she refused the money, but slipped it back into her pouch. She would see the money returned to her somehow. The way Kailey stiffened lowered Loa's spirits for a moment, but then Kailey spoke. "You are sure?" Loa blinked, then chewed on her lower lip. Why was she so nervous? "Be that as it may, I am not in a normal position for a Beastial." Loa nodded when she spoke of wanting to do what she could for the boy. "Alright." Startled when she was winked at, Loa went a bit pink, only to deepen a few shades when she leaned close. Loa had never felt like a being who could be pretty- she was an oddity, someone out of place. As she stared into Kaileys bright eyes, Loa wondered if she ought to encourage her- after all, her prince would never. Love her back. Appalled at her thoughts, Loa stepped back and bowed respectfully. "I am sorry. I have been incrediably disrespectful to you, allowing this..." Loa hesitated over the word. "Flirtation to go on when my heart is taken by another. I apologize." Loa straightened, looking bashful and shy and regretful. "I... have never been flirted with before." Loa tucked a piece of hair behind her ear. "Are you still willing to accoumpany me to Exortensis?"
Slaine frowned at Lornes logic, up until his last statement. "I am thirty years old, do not call me 'little', please, and of course that's not the reason!" Oralee, having stepped closer when Lorne went to whisper, whispered herself. "I am going to wait at the castle for all of you before attempting to enter the castle as a group- Slaine is perfectly welcome to go with you guys if he feels it is necessary." Oralee shrugged, before turning towards Alexandre. "Galavanting?" She inquired, amused at his choice of words. "We will be fine without them, I'm sure." Oralee's amusement faded when she was handed Pet. "I-I don't have any practice with children. Are you sure?"

Kaileys smiled failed for a second, when Loa spoke of her heart being taken. But she quickly regained it, "Ah, its okay. I was just teasing you anyway. Though, I woudn't have said no, if you wanted to do something with me." She said gently patting Loa on the shoulder, "And if you've never been flirted with, the people around you must be blind." She said with a sweet smile, "And of course I want to come with you. Like I said, I want to help the boy, and I'd love the chance to see another place. So, how are we gonna get there?"
Lorne smirked to Slaine, "You didn't seem so intent till that girl was going to be our guide. I simply put the situation together. And no need to get so defensive. Unless thats the reason." Lorne said his eyes twinkling mischeviously.
Alexandre shook his head at the Foxs antics. He had graiend an almost grudging respect for the thief on the trip. He looked to Oralee, "Is there a problem with that word, Nye?" When Pet was handed off he looked to Oralee, "I have none either."

Loa, with her astute eye, noticed when her smile failed, and she felt a little trickle of sadness run through her. "I am sorry." Loa gave a weak smile. "It is not as if I am taken- just my heart. I felt it was greatly disrespectful to you to allow you to continue." Loa glanced at her shoulder when Kailey patted it, and when she made that comment, Loa shook her head. "No, it is more as if I am invisible. That is my job." When asked how they would get there, Loa spread her wings. "Flying. Cats always land on their feet, yes?" Loa said, gently teasing, in an effort to get her to smile again.
Slaine tilted his head at Lorne. "I hadn't really voiced an opinion- I merely wanted it known that I was going. I'm not being defensive about your insinuation- I'm being defensive about you calling me little when I'm thirty years old. That's older than you!"
Oralee shrugged. "Not at all. It was merely amusing word choice. I got the mental image of Slaine skipping around. He seems much too serious for galavanting." Oralee blinked at Alexandre when he said he didn't have an experience with children either. "So.... Do I put him on the horse or something?" While she was very protective of children, and would do anything to defend them and keep them safe, when it came to day to day care, Oralee knew very little.

Godelieve smiled. "Pet can be self sufficient, I just don't want him wandering off and getting lost." She set him down in front of Oralee. She looked to pet sternly. "You stay here, understand?" He nodded and ran to hide behind Oralee's leg. Godelieve walked to Vasilisa. "I'm ready when you are."
Faelynn jumped off the horse and ran beside the other two girls. "Same here, if the boys will stop, maybe we could get going." She took a glance at Vasilisa and glared at the ground. Something is up, and I don't like it. She sighed. "C'mon boys. Let's go!"
Vasilisa blinked. I guess I must've just thought I saw her before. She watched the odd group, her eyes always landing on Slaine, then they'd drift again only to land once more on him. What is so intriguing about him that I can't stop looking at him. Godelieve and Faelynn joined her side and she smiled politely. "I'm ready, we are just waiting on them." She pointed to Lorne and Slaine.

Lorne was now snickering openly at the older man. "Okay, gramps. You sure you can keep up with all us younger folks? Don't wanna tire you out." He said, sticking his tongue out and walking to the girls, "Ladies, lets get moving."
Alexandre smirked to Oralee. "Well, I don't know Slaine well enough. And I merely implied that he is following them for reasons of leisure, rather than means of seriousness. The supplies are not so much that any more hands than they already have would be needed. Dare I say, Lorne could carry the supplies on his own." he then looked to Pet, "I take it we can trust you to listen to us until Godelieve returns?"
Kailey smirked to Loa, "Oh, we do. I just didn't know if you could carry another person, especially with all my weapons. But, lets get on our way." She said spreading her arms for Loa to Pick her up. "Lets go save this boy. I guess flying will be another thing I can mark off my bucket list."

Slaine grumbled and gritted his teeth, tightening and loosening his hands grip on the reins of his horse. Climbing down, he led the horse to Oralee. "It will be no doubt easier to move through town without a horse, could you watch him?" Without waiting for an answer, Slaine strode over to the others, smiling at his sister, before flickering a glance at the new comer girl, before turning towards the city. It was so much larger than the one they'd come from...
Oralee gave a shrug, glancing over at Slaine. "Dare I say it," She whispered to Alexandre, "I don't think he even knows why he is following them." Oralee brushed her hair out of her face, turning her gaze to Pet. "Hello."
Loa chuckled softly. "I am the only bird beastial in a highly human populated area- when I wasn't being scorned, someone wanted me to show them what it was like to fly. We'll need to take breaks, but even then, we'll most likely arrive within the week." Loa wasn't sure how long it'd take, exactly. Glancing at Kailey's arms, Loa swallowed. "There is... one more thing you should know, before we leave. But I can't tell you in such a crowded place." Loa hestated, before grabbing her hand and pulling her into a nearby hallway. "The boy that I need you to save isn't... isn't a normal boy." Loa swallowed, sure this is when it would all blow up in her face. "He is prince Erasmus, the younger prince of Exortensis."

((Numbers....you forgot owen crying Michel...you forgot the Prince and Jeremy... crying ))
Madison stayed close to the others, noting Slaines actions as well. It wasn't like him. Perhaps it was...love at first sight....at any rate, it was his life, and his choice, so she chose not to say anything since she had the choice, smiling at pet, who she had come to see as a little brother.
Shade shook his head, "There's no need for you to apologize." he took out his short blade in one hand, and his walking stick in the other, knowing well that his bow and arrow would be of no use against enemies so close up, "If anything, these men should apologize to you." He listend carefully, having to rely on his ears since his unusual sight would not work on the cobblestone below his feet. If only they were on natural land...but they were not, and thankfully, his father readied him for such circumstances. He heard five men...perhaps more, laughing. "Oh, lookie, boys. The blind boy thinks he can beat us with a puny kitchen knife and a walking sti-" Shade cut him off with a swift his to the man's abdomen (at least, he hoped it was his abdomen...it was flabby like one unexercised with little bone, so it may well have been) , and twisted around, using the knife to stad the area behind the kneecap to incompacitate the man. He knew he aimed to high as soon as he hit, bu the man went down anyway as the boy took out the small blade, hearing the roars now...how many were around them? Ten? Five? Twenty...he wasn't sure, but he kept his guard up as he heard the group stampede into the circle at once, only being able to hit and slash as fast as possible. He tried his best not to hit any vital areas, and hoped Sophie didn't end up in front of him as he continued in the fashion his father taught: using the walking stick to daze, and the knife to incompasitate. He had no idea who was the leader, or if anyone ended up dead, though he truly hoped no one would die this day.

Sophie made note that Shade was able to hold his own even when they weren't somewhere in his favor. She turned herself as a few of the men decided to gang up on. She easily ducked and swayed between their blows almost rolling her eyes at them. It was quite obvious they had a rudimentary understanding of fighting. Probably just enough to pick on innocent people who could not fight back against a bigger physique.Weaving through their blows she quickly ducked back and struck two of them. Once more their muscles froze to her paralyzing venom and they fell to the ground. Her eyes scanned for the man who she had assumed to be leader but he was gone. Where had he run off to? Distracted she didn't react fast enough for the knife tossed at her and it slashed across her bicep. Gripping the wound she focused on the attacker and opened her mouth to bear her fangs before releasing a hiss. Dashing at him she gripped his arm before he could toss another dagger and incapacitated him as well.
"Thats them. They just started attacking us all." The voice of the leader resonated now in the company of several guards.
"Beastial and companion. You are under arrest for the endangerment of the citizens of Exortensis. You are surrounded. Surrender and leniency may be possible." One of the guards ordered their weapons drawn.
Sophie almost let out a string of hisses and other vocalizations at the bandit but composed herself. What a coward the man was. To pick a fight with them, outnumber them and then when he was losing run with his tail between his legs and lie. Her cold blood was probably boiling. Begrudgingly she extended her hands forward with palms facing up. "Shade, Do as they say. I promise no harm will come to you." She said to the boy as the one of the guards cautiously approached and shackled her wrists. One of the guards pushed her forward not giving her a chance to say anything more. They were headed towards the castle and once they got there she would act. Normally she didn't like to use her family but in this case it may be necessary.
