He took a deep breath and slanted his eyes. He wasn't about to let these players look down on him. Even if they were all experienced players... Except the other first year. So he took the bat he was holding and swung at a bludger coming near him.  Position: Beater

Nice shots..but still. He refuses to lose his spot to him without a good fight. And just in time a bludger was heading his way and his eye was on a floating target in the distance. Raising his bat he aimed and hoped for the best.

  ((OOC: outfit in left picture))  Ariana heard several loud, heavy smacks from somewhere behind her in the distance, so the redhead turned around to see what they were. It's only the beaters, she thought, looking just in time to see a bludger crash against a target. The seeker never really realized how much noise the bats made when they smashed into those balls. Oh, it was a competition he wanted? Fine then. With a grin and a wink towards the firstie he sped off in pursuit of another iron ball and aimed to hit it with a slight twist of his wrist.

Terren glanced at Ariana as he flew by. She didn't seem to be having much luck finding the Snitch. Then again, neither was he. But that was good, right? No, he wanted her to find her Snitch too. But that was defeating the purpose of these tryouts... wasn't it? Ugh. He needed to get his priorities straight. He wanted to catch the Snitch, but he wanted Ari to catch hers too. Ter sighed. He was just too nice sometimes, and that was probably his greatest weakness.

I wish today it will rain all day. Maybe that will kinda make the pain go away. Trying to forgive you for abandoning me. Praying but I think I'm still an angel away...

It was an easy shot, really, and she had been practicing all summer. Looking over at her other two Beaters, she could see a competition beginning to break out. Good. A little competition was necessary to make a great Beater. It made them try harder. Even if Raphael had missed his last shot and gotten hit, he was still trying really, really hard, which was all that Heather could ask for. Circling around, she flew to a spot where both Tobi and Raphael could hear her. "Great job, boys! Let's kick it up a notch, shall we? After all, in a real game, your targets aren't going to be still like they are now." The blonde smirked as she pulled her wand from her back pocket and waved it over her head. Suddenly, the wooden targets began to move around. They didn't have much speed, but they were moving. "Alright, keep it up, you two!" she said before tucking her wand in her back pocket and flying off again. She had better see how the others were doing, shouldn't she? Steele and Jarlath were doing well, while Corabell hadn't really done anything yet. Her Chaser's were doing a great job, though. Heather nodded, then circled around to head back to her targets. Approaching an incoming Bludger, the blonde raised her bat and swung at it, taking aim at a nearby target...

Soon Heather told them that the training was about to get a tad more intense and magicked the targets to start moving causing him to grin with eagerness of the challenge. "Aye aye Boss!" he yelled out before taking aim towards one target lazily making its across the shortened field.

((OOC: outfit in left picture)) Ariana watched as the first year from whom she took the broomstick miss a target. At least he's having fun out there, she thought. If she brought a broomstick in first year, then got it confiscated, she would have probably been extremely upset. However, she knew she wasn't allowed, so no one had to take it away from her. Next, Tobi almost destroyed a target with his hit. A gasp escaped the seeker's lips when a bludger slammed into the first year. The redhead knew how much it hurt being hit with a bludger even though it has only happened to her a handful of times. After Heather smashed her own target to bits, she cast a spell on the others to make them move. Then Tobi hit one while Raphael did not. Armour Class: +17

 Corabell Kiremono~Hufflepuff First Year~Half-Blood Corabell winced as she retrieved the ball. Her cheeks were bright red with embarrassment. She'd gotten distracted by the others trying out, and missed a pathetically easy goal. Flying back up, she tossed the quaffle to the chasers.
