A drawing game? Alessa frowned a little. She was no visual artist, that was certain. If she had been tasked with baking or cooking instead...well, that wasn't very practical here, she supposed. So she took a piece of a paper and some crayons, but found that once they were in her lap she didn't know where to begin. Maybe if she added something that wasn't just herself...

"What's everyone favorite food?" she asked. It was a strange question, perhaps, but it didn't seem that way for her. After all, it was a good thing to know for the future in case she wanted to make someone something.

"Some soldiers, I'm sure," Barth allowed.

To Alessa he said, "Milkshakes. Flavor doesn't matter." Anything you could eat with a straw was alright in his book.

He didn't pander for Alwine's second Jollymeal, his own set of droopy fries and oozy, half-alive goo was enough. Barth ate slowly, letting whatever managed to crawl away go free, figuring it had earned its clever and daring escape.

Alessa nodded to Barth, scribbling something on her sheet of paper. That was easy enough...he didn't even have a flavor preference! It gave her some room to play, though, which was always good. She liked to experiment, though she wished she was actually making these things for real. Maybe when they got back to school she'd give it a try...

She looked up at Mandy's response and glanced sideways at the girl. "Ohhh, very nice! I don't think I've tried a recipe for that yet. Milk chocolate or dark? What type of alcohol do you usually use in it?" That would probably affect the type of chocolate, she noted to herself. Oh well, it never hurt to ask when it came to such things, though that didn't mean she couldn't come up with her own version later on.

Resigning herself to a follyjox based meal, Simone tucked in and ate until her complaining stomach ceased its growling. The tentacles took some work to get down, but before long they too were gone. Wiping her mouth on the back of her hand, her attention drifted from her meal to the general goings on. A drawing game? A slight frown passed over her features at the news. She didn't mind drawing, but that was at a surface and if she tried drawing while in motion, she was known to get a bit of a headache after a while. Meh. It was worth a shot.

The demon took one of the sheets and selected a few different crayons, a couple of reds and a couple of dark colors. Settling back into her seat, she tucked her feet underneath her, laid the paper out on her lap, and began doodling while half listening to the various conversations going on around her. By the sounds of things, some other passengers powered through their drawings, but Simone was feeling particular about how she wanted to portray herself. A bust was alright, right?

Once she had finished her own portrait, her inner muse must have gotten on a roll because she started doodling little things she was picking up in conversation. Underwear preferences lead to a little nude, but censored, Barth, and the ghost peeking out from behind the border reacting to said doodle. She couldn't help the little grin she was giving when she doodle that. A couple of other little busts followed, Alwine and Colette's specifically. When the question of food was posed of everyone, she just had to draw a little milkshake in the corner. There was some space to be filled, so she threw in a miniature pirate ninja dance party with a mini Rain in attendance. Simone lifted her gaze from her paper, closing her eyes for a moment when her head gave a bit of a throb. Turn in time was soon. Much more doodling and she'd have something that wouldn't be quite so willing to disappear after a few minutes. She lifted her paper to give it a once over before laying down a few finishing touches: a little memorial to Captain Jackie Chan Sparrow and classing up the skeleton a touch. Uncurling herself from her seat, Simone rose and handed the picture to Rain.

That having been taken care of, she shifted her attention back to the question posed of everyone. What was her favorite food? Hm. "For my favorite food, I'd have to say sushi or almost any time of sashimi." Mm. Thinly sliced fresh, raw or very lightly cooked meat was a safe bet in her books. Of course, she was a fan of rare meat in general..."Or a rare hamburger." She offered a little chuckle, scratching her side absently. "What about you, Alessa? What is your food of choice?"

With no time to spare, Barth applied a black crayon and (to perhaps anyone who knew him's surprise) handed Rain his self-portrait.

The actual portrait was apt, but much less surprising.

"The horizontal orientation and simplified marking provide a more perfect vehicle of self-expression than attempts at rendering a likeness," he said. "I abstracted the image by reduction."

The single line at the bottom of the paper did look very...reduced.

Rain was impressed with Bartholomew! He went commando! He must have all kinds of weapons in his arsenal themed dorm back at the school. Now she knew who she wanted to be around if a war ever broke out. "I want to go commando too," she stated.

"Colette, your picture is really pretty but you look so sad. Why are you so sad with all that candy floating around you?" Rain wondered if the swords were the cause of the sadness. "It's lovely work, no denying that."

"Sheeki, your art is so adorable. This looks like I'd imagine you would if you were a bit younger. I bet you got a lot of hugs back then. So adorable!" Rain made cooing sounds at the piece of paper akin to baby talk.

"My favorite food is brains, Alessa," Rain said within seconds of the question being asked. It was not something she had to stop and think about ever. The hardest choice that came in her life was if she wanted fried brains, brain pudding, or a brain burger.

Rain grabbed Mandy's picture and did a double take. "Wow, Mandy, it looks just like you. Are you sure this isn't a photograph? No, I suppose not, that would require magic and we can't use anything like that on the train. It's really amazing, even down to the detail. Great job!"

"Simone, you are so pretty, both here and in your drawing." It was something Rain didn't like to point out often because she knew that she wasn't pretty in the same sense that Simone was, or Morrigan, or Sin Err, or most of the other ghouls at the school. Rain was plain. Plain Rain. No guys ever flirted with her. No body ever wanted to be around her. To be honest, she never understood why she had won the student council president position. Perhaps people at least found her likable? But never for her looks. She was just too different. Too boyish and sometimes.. sometimes it hurt. "I love that you drew me with the pirate ninjas. They are so cute. And the others are too.. so.. I guess that's what commando means, huh? That you are not wearing any underwear. I don't think I could go commando afterall." It seemed so much cooler when she thought it had something to do with warfare.

Rain glanced at Barth's picture for what felt like a long time before she finally spoke up, "I guess this was the most you could get done in the time frame. I can't fault that. It's good for what you had to work with. I'd love to see what you could come up with in a few weeks sometime, though." It was true, she couldn't. Her species was all about speed and agility. Jumping, pouncing, climbing at a very fast pace. In the short time she knew Barth, she could see that he was the opposite. Everything about him seemed slowed down.

"Another great job!" Hedera-Rose's picture was indeed great. She liked that only a couple colors were used, it made it more striking and she even drew her! "This really brings out the loveliness of your hair."

She taped all the pretty art pictures to the wall next to her own. It certainly added color and warmth to their car. It was starting to feel more and more like a moving home. Would be much better if they had beds though. Rain didn't really sleep but she was sure they couldn't have been very comfortable taking their naps in those seats. "You all did an amazing job!"

Woops. Alessa had been so intent on her drawing, she had forgotten to well...finish it and give it to Rain. It was only when Rain started congratulating everyone that she realized she'd sort of...been way too intent on what she was doing instead of taking part in the game. She stared down at her picture and sighed. She wasn't even an artist, so what had she been thinking?

She went over to Rain, holding out her picture, "Um, I forgot to give it to you, but you can have it anyway." At least it had been fun, even if it meant she hadn't actually...you know, entered the thing properly. Oh well. Now at least she had some new recipe ideas...
