Upon her entrances upon this new terrain ...she would spot her first wild pokemon ...a Numel that was digging into the sands with one foot ....as she searches for something held down below. Eyes the color of sky, she worked and only paused long enough to acknowledge the newcomers landing ...as the helicopter took off again.
Leaving them far behind and to a certain extend quite stranded.
[Encounters: There is two types of encounters that you can possible face ...the first is aggressive inwhich if you see the pokemon's stats below it means that your pokemon and character are being forced to fight. The other one is more passive, like the one above inwhich your character Rps to determine what would happen with the pokemon or whether it's ignored all together.]

 After what seemed like only a few seconds, Mia noticed the Numel digging into the sand. 'Well... That didn't take very long,' she thought, slowly approaching the Numel. "Well, hello there. Need some help?" Mia asked with a smile, bending down near the Pokemon, getting ready to help dig with her hands, being careful to not scare the Numel away.

The pokemon gave her a look that didn't exactly breed reassurance of intelligences and continued to dig. If she had plans of helping, it would seem she would have to be careful of his feet which was currently digging into the ground. Though then again, she didn't exactly know what it was digging up ...or even why it was digging as the pokemon continues on wards seemingly more oblivious then ever of what it was doing.
[To dig or not to dig. If you chose to dig, please roll a 1 dice 20 to determine what you will find. If you chose not to help with the dig, and continue on wards, please simply roll the dice as it required of this section.]

Even though the Numel didn’t show signs of needing any help, Mia decided to help it anyways. She started digging next to the yellow Pokemon, making sure she wasn’t getting in its way but still helping out. Maybe she'd find something really cool, something that could help her out on her journey, something that the Numel wouldn't really need because she wasn't going to steal whatever it was they were digging for from it.

The pokemon would find it's target ...as it finally unearth it's prize. A huge glint of gold in the light of day ....as he pulls free from the earth a big Gold Nugget. The pokemon's eyes seemed to glaze over at it ...as it rubs it's head against the stone and actually starts to make a sort of cooing noise.
The Numel was in love as it presses it's body up against it, and turns and looks at Mia with grateful eyes. It had been searching the entire desert for its love, which it had forgotten the night before and left out during a sand storm.
The pokemon picked up the big nugget in is mouth as he would start to walk for a pace, but stopped and looked back at Mia. The reasoning was plain, it wanted her to follow.
Though the choice was hers, should she follow the strange Numel or go her own path.
Though if she looked into the hole where it had found it's nugget she would see something special left just for her ....a Love Ball.

After picking up a few handfuls of dirt, Mia noticed something shiny in the dirt but she didn't have time to inspect what it was before the Numel excitedly and lovingly started to rub her head against the mysterious object. While the Numel was busy rubbing herself against her beloved prive, Mia finally noticed just how hot it was and how sweaty she was already, and how the sand she was sitting on was burning her legs; she quickly got up and got a glimpse of the Gold Nugget. The Numel picked up the nugget in her mouth was started to walk away, but before leaving, she looked back at Mia, indicating her that she was the human to follow her.
After a few minutes of debating her options with herself, she decided that while she should probably keep going to where she was supposed to go, capture a Pokemon and return to the Academy, she knew she wouldn't be able to get this Numel out of her mind. So she quickly picked up the Love Ball that was left behind and ran after the Numel.
ooc// I'm kind of confused by the Pokemons gender? At first, it was a she and not it's a he? haha.

[Me too. I often forget what gender it was as well ....hahahha]
The Numel would start to lead her through the desert. Since she had expended so much energy helping her ...the pokemon thought it was only fair to help guide her through the desert. The heat of the sands would scorch when the sun was high as she headed straight towards the Oasis to help the girl behind her cool off from the heat.
[Numel the guide: As long as it's guiding you ...it will take 1/2 the number of steps to reach the end of the desert. So please remember to roll the dice]

Mia soon realized that the Numel was acting as a guide, helping her out. So this way, she could get her cake and eat it too; she didn't have to part with the Numel right away but she was still going the way she was supposed to.

Moving slightly faster than the normal speed a trainer would go through these sands ....the two would come to the edge of the Oasis as sitting there on a stone rock that jutted out of the sands at an odd angle was a Zangoose. A pokemon know for it's swift and powerful movements as she slashes one claw across the ground once and then twice setting up small sparks in their wake as her eyes feel upon the Numel and then the human.
Her teeth were bared then.
"Zangoose ...zan ....zan goose."
She hissed as the Numel turned and with a patiences that wasn't quite odd for it's kind. It placed that big nugget on it's back and then stares the Zangoose down which wasn't exactly intense with that oblivions nature ...that is also normal for that type.
Getting no answer and only a stare the pokemon hopped off the rock and moved towards Mia. It's entire posture was that of challenge.
She thrust one claw at her.
An show of nothing but pure force.

Mia kept following the Numel, getting kind of worried because sure, she was on the right path, but she hadn't caught a Pokemon yet which was the whole part of her mission assigned to her by her Professor. Erei might be tiny, but she knew she better not upset of disappoint her professor because of the small girl's reaction towards the letter she had received from someone.
She didn't have much longer to worry though; she soon noticed the Zangoose sitting on a rock as soon as they go to the edge of the Oasis. Not being familiar with the Pokemon, Mia pulled out her pokedex and pointing it at the red and white Pokemon. 'Zangoose: It has feuded with Seviper for many generations. Its sharp claws are its biggest qeapons.'
'Oh boy...' she thought, getting her only occupied pokeball.
"Come on out Blaze!" The small furry Pokemon appeared from the white light, ready to battle.

[Okay, before things get confusing ...your last roll will count as your defense. This is my attack, which means your next post should be for your attack.]
The Zangoose was given her target, and she didn't wait long to strike as she came at the Growlithe almost the same moment that it appeared. Her claws draw close to her body as she went for the strike as she aimed to hit the Growlithe along it's side and cut deep into flesh from the side of it's chest all the way to the back of it's leg if she was successful as she uses Scratch.
