"Your building, your colors. I don't plan to stay long enough for it to bother me." The count said simply before maintaining a silence that was only broken when they entered the room. He had little to say on the way to the room because he was mapping an escape. He saw several doors and how Octavious interacted with them. The first door would be a problems but he could steal Octavious' pass to get through the rest. Or modify one of his own but the latter would take longer and he had already had many chances to take Octavious'. Then they were in the room and the first thing he said upon seeing the table was the most childish thing he could think of. "Oh you guys are into that sorta stuff. Well normally I would only do this on tuesdays but I'm down, strap me up!" He said the last part with a very odd confidence. He had formulated his plan. Everyone who could get here would need a pass card. So he would wait until someone less talented than Octavious showed up. He would take the card and run. But if they put one of the plant things on him he did not know how easy the plan would be. "So what's with the flower. I mean it's cool and all but normally there is some sort of giant evil lazer, so... points for originality."

"The Black Mercy plant." Otto replied as he laid the Count out flat on the empty table. One arm loosened itself from around the man and began working on the leather straps to hold the captive down. "It is an alien plant that taps into it's captives subconscious and creates what would essentially be a perfect life for them. The captive dreams of a world better than anything they have now... and the plant drains them of their life force." he continued, now moving on to locking the count's arms to the metal cuffs. "Understandably, the captive will die peacefully. Should they happen to wake up, they'll have to try and pry the plant off. It will fight back of course. But, we tend to get what we need out of the test subjects before they reach that point."

"Very creative means of interrogation. Assuming that's what you would use it for. Give them the perfect life, then take it away and submit them to hell here. Then offer the perfect life back, but at the price of information. not bad, not bad at all." The Count complimented as he was strapped in. He had turned both arms sideways when Otto was putting on the metal cuffs. It was a very minor thing that no captors ever noticed. It gave in just a few centimeters of free space which was the perfect amount required to slip the cuffs.

"Oh, that's not fully what we use the Black Mercy plant for... but that is a good idea..." Octavius replied as he fastened down a few more straps over the Count. "Granted, the women might use that tactic, but I've seen them more used as sedatives. We don't have to worry about chemical sedatives getting in the way of our own chemical injections. Or contaminated blood and dna."Otto didn't catch the slight turn of the wrist. Partly because he was confident that even if the man DID break loose somehow... he wasn't getting very far.

"Oh, well that is very useful. I want one..." Edmond said. He could slip his hand out now and go for Otto's keycard but that would be to obvious. He would have to wait for someone less challenging to enter. Worst case scenario it was the girl who he had frozen that would come in next. However he had a simple backup plan. Run. though The Count hoped he would not need to use that one it was still a useful choice. "So why do all this? What's with all the chemical injections? Are you guys trying to build your own army of super soldiers? Or perhaps just trying to find out how to manifest mutations in the human body? Or are you all just into it for the information your get back? I saw the Rosie's. Aside from trying to breed your own army I see no reasons to create two creatures with the exact same appearance and power."

Otto gave another low chuckle. He had to admit it was a nice change of pace to have a captive that wasn't trying to get on his nerves or spitting obscenities. "I believe the main goal is to manifest specific mutations in the human body. Once we're able to create our own powers, there will be a new line of possibilities. As for the children..." Otto began. He took a few long steps away from the Count, sure that he was securely locked up now. "That was not our doing. The child has a unique gift of self duplication. We simply... encouraged that she continue to create a vast amount of duplicates for our studies. We could create our own clones... but even that has the possibility for genetic differences. Having pure identical duplicates gives us a much better test subject to work with. She is invaluable to our experiments in recreating powers."

"Then what goes wrong with the duplicates? Why did she need medicine?" The count asked. He was very pleased with the responses. Otto may not have known it but Edmond was interrogating him. These were the same questions he would ask had he captured Otto but instead he put Octavious in a position where it seemed that he could explain everything knowing in the end it would not matter. That was when people got answers. The Count looked around the room thinking before his next question. "Who funds your guys? rosie let it slip that there had been an attack and unless you have a lot of extra money hanging around I would presume you have a sponsor of some sort. Someone who gave you the land and equipment."

"The process of finding a stable solution can be a series of trial and error. The child you were with was the closest we had come to a "stable" inque power. The previous bunch couldn't hold a solid shape. She could... but only for so long. The original Inque that we acquired the power from needed injections to keep a solid shape. We used that medication to help the child keep her shape. We will simply have to keep going until we can create a solution that allows the transformation at will." Otto replied. Then he walked towards the corner of the room and turned his back to the Count for a moment to retrieve something boxed up. "As for our "funds".... if you cause enough trouble still... somehow... I'm sure you'll meet him."

"What? Blowing up doors and knocking out workers is not enough trouble. I will have to do better in the future." The Count joked as he relaxed in his constrictions. "You know, what you guys need in an inque who does not require medication to control his or her forms. That would be a much better basis for tests, but I am assuming you just couldn't find one? By the way, what was Rosie's medication we were in the room searching for it but she didn't know which one to pick. I made the call and she ran. I would hate not to know what we risked so much to get."

”Inque was one of a kind. When we captured her, we found that she had gained her powers through experimentation herself. Her molecular structure was unstable, and she needed injections to keep a physical form. We are working to a stable strand that will allow someone to go in and out of the inque form rather than be bound to it.” Otto replied. ”As for the medication, it really doesn't matter. I doubt she'll know how to make more for herself once she runs out. And it she takes the wrong one she'll likely either become ill or die.”

"Oh, but still why, why do all this experimenting? I know what you are trying to do but why? What is the endgame? What do you get out of all this when you succeed?" The count said as he began shifting his leg slightly to give it more room. It was to slight to be noticed and required much focus on his part to keep it quiet so he just stopped. "Why was rosie so afraid to come back here when she was losing control of her powers?"

"Well, I get a free laboratory with all the powers, chemicals, and equipment I need for my own experimenting. What the people in charge want with these particular experiments are their business. Permanent power injections to the highest bidder, cure cancer mixing powers...whatever they want." Otto replied. Then he turned around. In his hands was a small box that he had pulled out of the metal and locked cupboard. The box was metal, and it was impossible to see what was inside. He continued talking as he walked towards him with the box. "And, I imagine she was afraid because she had.... one, run away from the lab. Two, knew that being out and out in the streets could compromise our base, as it clearly has. And three... knew that since her powers weren't holding up on their own, it meant she would have to be replaced with a newer model if it were successful."

"Well the cancer part doesn't sound to bad but selling powers to the highest bidder could destroy or save this world. I don't like taking those chances." The Count saw the box and his trainign took over. He had most of the answers he needed but knew for a fact he would need more from whoever was in charge. As Otto had told him, he would need to cause more problems for that. "I wwould ask you whats in the box but I fear I am about to find out..."

Otto gave him a small grin again. "Consider this the one good rest you'll probably have for a while. I understand that Allure was demanding that you be ripped apart from the center out... so putting you to sleep for a while should keep her from doing so. At least for now." he said. He opened a small compartment on the side of the box and unlocked the top of the lid. From the side compartment, he pulled out a syringe.

These were the times Edmond was glad he wore a mask and not just a hood. His training had prepaired him for minor sedatives but he could not be sure what was in the syringe. It would be a risk to let Otto inject him but if he did nto take it he may have more questions then answers in the end. "That girl should just be happy I didn't drop her into the fire she was going to put Rosie in." He said simply. Edmond's herb would be enough to repell the sedative but it was in his quiver and he could not get it without freeing his hand. His mask only had an air filtor so he had very little to fight the sedative. In the end he chose to let Otto inject him and hope he could fight the urge to sleep.
