"Just myself..." he felt a bit better at hearing her voice, though still watched the woman warily as she closed the door behind them, "How are you feeling?"

Sally "Really bored." Sally sighed. "Where is Alex? Didn't he come with you? Hows the circus by the way?"

"I was sent sort of last minute...Alex is ok though..." He nodded, flinching as a nurse opened the door to attend to the curtains.
"The circus is good too." Hearing a tap at the window he waited for the nurse to leave again before making his way over and sliding it open.
Kali hopped inside, shaking the rain from her feathers before fluttering up onto Tala's shoulder.
"This is Kali." He made his way back over to the bed, sitting down so Sally could get a closer look.

"Well, it's a long story, but she'd the sole survivor of her clutch."
Kali quite enjoyed the attention she was receiving and hopped from Tala's shoulder onto the bed.
"She seems to like you." He smiled, watching the pair was helping him forget where he was.

Sally "It must be exotic bird." Sally tilted her head sideways. "I never saw such beautiful bird as this one around here." She took a biscuit and feed it to the little bird. "It's such a clever bird too."

"She's very clever." Tala nodded, smiling as Kali watched Sally with the biscuit.
The door handle turned across the room and Tala instinctively stepped in the way to block Kali from view.
"Visiting time is almost over." the nurse raised an eyebrow at Tala's sudden movement,
"I thought Sally was being discharged today?" Tala frowned,
Kali used the distraction to slip underneath the sheets and out of sight of the nurse.
"I can't think who could have told you that." the nurse shook her head, "Sally's not due to be discharged for a few more days yet..."

Sally Sally quickly covered the bird under her blanket but making sure there is a space for the bird. "Can't I rest at home? I promise I won't do any heavy work." Sally pleaded.

Tila stumbled out holding her stomach as some of the other men were trying to pull her back. "Stop!" she snapped panting breathing hard and went up to the real Xen taking his arm and opened his mouth to look at his teeth. "No fangs. I saw fangs in the other Xen but no fangs with you and your scent is not like before. Tell me...do you know what we spoke of and what you told me earlier?" she asked. "If you answer right I shall be upset, if you answer wrong I shall be pleased so be fully honest. I'm ready to smell lies if you do." She said firmly keeping perfect eye contact with him, holding onto his arm.
Rose watched from a distance listening in, arms folded, glad the circus was done for the day before all this unfolded. "Magician, tell me, do you think that ghost could have escaped the spell you used?" She asked him quietly as he stood by her. "I'm curious cause if it could have then we have a serious problem if it can shift form and shape."

Xen
Xen can't remember anything since he is overwhelm and frightened. Tears still falling to his cheeks. His mind is blank. He tried to remember the last time he met Tila. It took him awhile to recall back the memory.
"The last time I saw you.. was with Tala and... You just killed a few bird chicks..." Xen sobbed and wiped his tears away. "You were saying that you don't trust Tala's pet and I said something about a starting of a horror story. That was the last time I saw you.. before I went to the forest to sketch."
His palm was still bleeding from being cut by the ghost. It just didn't heal like normal wound.

Tila nodded. "You are the real Xen, not the false one that attacked me and Alex. You are the real one." She said watching him and let go. "Come, the magic user master shall look at the wound and tend to you." She said pulling Xen over to the magician and looked to him. "Heal his curse if you can. I hope you have the ability to heal the wound and to heal Alex's wound. Tala is out guarding Sally right now." She said. "The ghost is after Alex and Sally." She said remembering what she heard.

Zebulon inspected the wound closely and with a mere wave of his hand it was gone. "The curse will be harder to heal..." he twisted the tip of his beard between his fingers, "I doubt the spirit escaped as the spell was quite strong, although Tala's involvement may have nullified some of it's effect..." He sighed before turning back to Xen. "I suggest you rest, and Fred, you should keep your eye on the lad for now," He turned and made his way back to his caravan, intent on finding a spell to dispel the curse.

"Maybe tomorrow." the nurse frowned, "It's too late to ask now. I must insist you leave, Sir." She approached to usher Tala out the door but he sidestepped her, casting a brief glance back at Sally before making his own exit.
The nurse followed him to the main doors, before returning to her desk.
"I need to get back in there..." He frowned, taking cover as an ambulance pulled up outside.
With his mind set more on protecting Sally Tala slid beneath the gurney as it was left unattended before lying low as it was wheeled inside.
"What the heck am I doing...?" He thought to himself, slipping out from the back of the gurney as it passed by Sally's room.
Kali had resurfaced from the sheets now, but quickly nipped back under as the door creaked open.
Remaining in his wolf form, Tala padded inside, shutting the door behind him.
"I'm back." He smiled, "I hope you don't mind company for the night."

( eek Why is Xen cursed? How many bird chicks by the way?)

"Thank you for healing him." Fred nodded to Tila and Zebulon before carrying his son away quickly.
Fred went to his tent and placed Xen in his bed. Xen was still crying and won't let his father's hand go. Fred had to keep repeating that he was here for Xen and he won't let the monster take him away again. Reassuring Xen that he is safe now. It took him awhile to coax his son to sleep.
Fred couldn't believe that he almost lost his son. "He is just a child... How could they do that to my son?" He kissed his son's forehead and wiped Xen's tears from his face. He blamed himself for choosing to work in the circus. "Should I leave the circus?" He sighed.

Sally Sally felt surprised by Tala's request. "Of course. I would love if you could stay with me tonight." She grinned. "You need to stay in wolf form though so when the nurse come by I can always say that you are my teddy bear.. I meant... ughh.. well you know what I meant." Sally gently put the bird on her hand. "You are so cute. Can she do tricks like singing?"
