Journal is fixed. I asked about it again in the Q&A forum. I just had to change the style from weblog to daily, back to weblog. Only problem I'm having now is all my header images won't show up.

Gemstone Gwyndara Longest day of my life! It started at 3:00a.m. I had to take my mother to the hospital. We got thier at 5:30 am Then they preped her for surgry. She went into the anistisiologist at 7:00am They started the actual surgery at 8:00am then a nurse came and updated me through out the surgery. The Dr. Finaly came out and talked to me at 11:00am I got to finaly see her at Noon. Then I had to put up with a very angry rude woman for the rest of the day. It's the meds they put her on, for the pain, and of course the anistisia. Then I got home about 8:00pm and had to come to work by 10:30pm and my day wont end until 7:30am tommarow morning. *sigh* heart You poor thing! I thought 16hr days were too much, but what you did was beyond anything I could comprehend putting the human body though! Please sleep alot the next day or something and drink water so you don't get sick, overworking the body and mind comprimises the immune system. sad I did get some sleep, and I've been drinking tons of fluids. I've been staying at the hospital a lot. My mom's Oxygen got to low, and they gave her more morifieen than she should have had. She ended up having a heart attack. They now have her on the cardio unit. and are watching her close. *sigh* She''l be alright, or so the Doctors say, but they are running a lot of tests. It's still scary. Oh and I am now on first name bassis with the cafetria lady.

Eek Gwyn, I'm so sorry! What a horrible thing to happen! I didn't know morfeen could do that eek I'm glad she's home now and I'm sure that that will help her recover faster, there's nothing quite like the comfort of one's own space, and hospitals are dreadful to try to relax in. I wish her well and you too as you've been through alot also.

I have a question I hope some of you might be able to help me with. I didn't want to make a new thread and take up a lot of room so I hope I get a reply. Well, most of you know that my cousin is in Iraq right now. (He is doing well by the way, he's not in the middle of the battlefield or anything. He's actually working in a prison so he has access to a phone and computer and I email him every once and a while and he calls his wife and mom.) Anyway, because he has access to these things we all know he's ok and it makes him being there easier. But his son, my Godson, doesn't understand. All he knows is that Papa is gone and he's acting out. He's 2 almost 3 and he's going to a learning school. When he is there, the teachers say he is a perfect angel like always. When he get's home is when he starts acting up. He cries and throws fits for no reason, and he doesn't want to leave the house. At the end of his fits he always asks for his Papa, which we can't give him. He clings to his Papa's cammy cover or to his own mini cammy's his Papa bought him before he left. I feel so bad for his Momma, she has to deal with her husband in Iraq and now the baby. All we can do is just give him all the love we can and tell him we love him and try to have fun with him. It doesn't always work though. It's been a few weeks now and he hasn't really done too much better. He has some good days where he will play and smile but on the other days we find ourselves at a loss....Does anyone have any advice? Thank you in advance. -Moon

All I can think of is to tell him when you know his dad will be comming home, tell him that date and when he asks how far away that is, count down the months with him. Perhaps give him a picture or something of his father to carry with him all the time, and make sure there are lots of pictures of him around the house. The very biggest thing I can think of though is next time his dad calls get him on the phone with him.
