"It's fine. I've fifty quid that says this Brianna of yours is a serial cheerleader. I wish you the best of luck in that buisness venture. I think she vomited pink on her items."
Emerson grinned. He watched in silence as Liana fussed and fiddled around her bed. How strange. It was just going to get mussed again within the hour (at the absolute latest) and it made him wonder where Lia picked up that strange tick.
"No worries on that count; I've had you out all evening, haven't I? You've been busy dinning and winning and partying with the finest Steering has to offer. No one will bother you about the state of your packing."
He moved closer to her, and kissed her forehead lightly.
"You want I should stay? Or should I bid the good lady ado for the evening?"

She closed her eyes when he kissed her forehead. When he suddenly suggested to leave a sudden gut wretching feeling came into her stomach and her heart started speeding up. If he left then that would mean that she is going to be alone is this room. Even though her insides were twisting and pulling her face reamined calm.
Taking a step forward so she was almost right up against him she chewed on her cheek for a moment "I know this is going to sound incredibly stupid or childish but-" she looked up at him "Would you mind staying?" she asked "I haven't slept in a room alone in a very long time and I don't want to try it tonight" Lia said she felt oddly comforted when she was around Emerson and she didn't want it to go.

Emerson looked surprised, but he nodded. He stroked Lia's arm gently.
"I'd be happy to oblige. I, uh, didn't bring anything to sleep in. Hope you don't mind."
He smiled sheepishly. They had classes tomorrow, but that wouldn't matter much to him; he intended to be long gone from Lia's bed by the time they started. Emerson had his run in the morning.
"And don't bite you're cheek; that bad for you. Do you need to start your...routine, or anything?"

"Routine?" she asked looking puzzled but then shook her head "No, no routine just get ready for bed brush my teeth and then go to bed" she told him.
Slowly Lia pulled away and walked to her suitcases "I might have a pair of pyjama pants that could fit you" she said looking through it then pulled out a pair of gray long pants that were actually mens sweat pants as she held them out and grinned "When I sleep in my own room with my dog I like wearing things that are bigger, they seem more comfortable or it depends on the weather if it's cold bigger clothes if it's hot skimpier clothes" she said to him with a shrug

"Anything is better then these damned trousers."
Emerson grinned, taking the sweats; was still wearing the suit he'd worn to dinner. He felt as comfortable in sweats as in formal dinning wear; they wore them on the bench when he was off the pitch during a game, to keep them "warmed up." He usually crashed in just his boxers, weather not withstanding. And when they were off campus, he always crashed with Amelia.
"Thank you. Say, does your faithful hound sleep in your bed? Out of curiosity. I just want to know more about you, is all."
He shrugged and began to strip out of his shirt, his well honed chest gradually becoming more revealed with each button. He was kept in well athletic shape by the large amounts of his time spent on the pitch and pounding it out on a track.

Liana couldn't help herself when her eyes followed his hands and she looked seeing his body. Her face didn't redden it wasn't the first time seeing a boys body but she did feel heat all over her body. She had to look away to keep her heart beat from racing through her chest. When she turned away her lips mouthed a 'Wow' as she pulled out her own clothes in her suitcase.
She pulled out a yellow tanktop with red pants with yellow letters on them. Lia placed her stuff on her bed her body turned sideways to Emerson and she pulled her shirt off over her head having just her bra on. She glanced at him and his incredible body again giving a grin before she put the light tank top on and then her skirt came down showing her long tan legs which she covered with the pyjama pants.

Emerson changed quickly, stealing sideways glances at Lia as she stripped. Pulling the sweats up over his shorts, he tied the strings off, tucking them into the hem of his borrowed pants. They weren't that bad of a fit; a little tight, but nothing to b***h and moan over. He raised an eyebrow at Liana and turned towards her, watching her blatantly as she stepped into her silken PJ pants, admiring her; clearly the Yank kept up with her personal fitness.
"You sleep in your bra? How...quaint."
Emerson smiled. He'd over-nighted with enough girls to realize that this was a fairly uncommon practice among the fairer sex.
"My first class is at eight, so I thought I'd run at six? Does that sound acceptable to you? Or would you rather join me in the evening?"
A quick glance at the clock showed Em that it was getting close onto two thirty in the morning. A couple of cups of coffee in the morning, after his shower and he'd be good as new. It's why God put caffeine in the world.

Her head looked down seeing her bra underneath her tanttop. She grinned and shrugged her shoulders to him "Not all the time but I thought it would be more appropriate to sleep with it on tonight" she said to him.
She leaned and crawled onto the bed pulling the covers back and sliding underneath them as she held them open for him to join her in her bed. "Six o'clock sounds fine" she nodded in agreement "I actually have a class at eight o'clock as well" she told him.

"Oh? What's your class? Maybe it's the same as mine?"
Emerson scooted under the covers with Liana; it was a tight fit on the twin sized mattress. Not really enough room for two people to crash in the same bed, unless they were laying on their sides together, which is exactly what he was doing; he was an old pro at manunvering in these odd shaped beds. Afraid of them accidently going somewhere they weren't supposed to, he kept on of his hands close against his front, the other under his head.
"Comfortable? Enough covers? Enough room?"

She yawned placing her hand to her mouth to cover it before she answered him "I think it's math" she said to him she knew it was a math but couldn't remember the name for it right now snce she was too tired to think straight.
Lia laid on her side with her one hand under the pillow and the other on top of the pillow right next to her face "I'm fine" she said with a nod "I just hope you don't snore" she says..

"Oh. I have Latin first. It's a small school; I'm sure we'll run into each other, other then at the lunch lines. I'm sure you know that our lunch table is always open to you, if you wish to join us. Sometimes we like to go out for our lunch hour, but we'll let you know, if you'd like. That is, if you become one of our usual."
Emerson shrugged, smiling gently.
"I don't think I do. At least, I've never had any complaints about my sleeping noises. But know it is sleeping time."
He leaned over and kissed Lia on her neck, just over her jugular artery; he could feel it pumping and jumping under his lips, like a demented insect trying to get free from its fleshy prison.

His lips on her neck felt so nice and made her pulse jump faster as her heart started pounding like crazy again. Sh breathed out and after he pulled away she curled up in her bed more as her eyes closed "All right" she said sounding like a good behaved child "I'll go to sleep" she yawned again before her hand underneath the pillow clenched it more and her body relaxed knowing she was going to fall asleep at any second.

Emerson relaxed into sleep even before Liana's affirmation of her own good behavior. Despite what he had bluffed about before, he was tired, and he definitely thought a heroin induced sleep was the best kind of sleep. It rivaled only that exhausted sleep of the damned that was a rough session of a roll in the blankets or a plethora of kilometers through hilly, woodsy lands. All too soon, he was being pulled back out by the faint but insistent beeping from his mobile on the floor, still in his trouser pocket. He groaned and rolled out of the bed onto his feet. He leaned back over Liana, and kissed her cheek, shaking her exposed shoulder gently.
"Wake up, Lia. If you're coming with me, now would be the time to get up."

Liana slept peacefully and she never even moved from how she was laying. For a girl who slept alone a good amount of time it was almost as if she was used to sleeping with another. The only movement she did was to pull the covers up a little bit more when they began to slid off of her.
She woke from the abrupt shaking that Emerson was doing. Opening her eyes she looked at him with a sleepy look. She breathed out and rubbed her eyes to maybe help wake her up more. "I'm coming" she said her voice a little groggy but she sat up more as she took a deep breath in "Is there somewhere close I can get caffeine in me?" she asked "At least before my first class" she added getting up as she rubbed her head.

Emerson laughed lightly at Lia; if it was possible, she was even more adorable when she was exhausted like that. As for him, it was almost as if he'd never even slept. Sure, he'd feel it in a few hours, but that was later. Why muse upon the sufferings of the future in the Now? A waste of time.
"Coffee after; you'll get cramps if you drink some now. Do you mind making a quick stop on the way? I need to get my run gear from the lockers down by the pitch. I won't be but two minutes. Now, get up and get dressed. It's a glorious day, on God's Earth."
A glance out the window proved otherwise, but what was a thick cloud of fog to him? He lived his life in a fog, feeling from one marker to another like a blind man in a foreign place. He was in his element. Turning his back to Liana, Emerson began to change quickly into the formal dinning wear he'd worn the night before; he didn't want to trek across campus in a pair of girl's sweats, no matter how cute the girl. It just didn't work like that for him.
