Kedrick Suwa
Dimitri leaned forward so her could see Arielle past his friend. A wicked grin that reminded Arielle of a Cheshire cat was plastered across his features. "I'll just have to beat you both then!" He cried in delight. "Both!" Kedrick interjected, looking over at Dimitri with an injured expression. "As I remember, I Beat you last time!." Dimitri countered immediately. "you remembered wrong then." he said, still grinning. Dimitri thrived on this kind of playful banter. Kedrick paused a moment, glancing at Dimitri with a sly, sidelong glance, the barest hint of a smile touching his lips."what?...." Dimitri asked wearily, aware of the sneaky expression on Kedrick's face. Kedrick discreetly touch a button of the master controller and the race started without warning, giving Kedrick an immediate head start noting he was the only one who had see it coming. "NOT FAIR!!!!" Dimitri cried, scrambling to pick of his remote. "cheater-cheater-cheater!" he chanted as he struggled to gain control of his car. Kedrick cackled in delight at the panic he had caused.

Arielle Shore
Arielle grinned, trying to get used to the controller. Her cousins had one of the gaming systems that they were playing on since he was a bit of a gamer. Listening to the two of them argue about who would win made her giggle. It was the same thing her cousins would do. Arielle didn't say anything, just waited until the race seemed to be moving before she used a few tricks of her own, using the special items and getting in front of both Dimitri and Kedrick. She didn't say anything, her mind focused on the game, she did smile in a satisfied grin. There was one thing that she and her cousins would agree on, she was a true gamer when placed with a game in front of her and a controller in her hand.

Kedrick Suwa
Dimitri leaned forward over his knees, biting the inside of his lip, his brow furrowed in fierce concentration. With a twirk of a smile he hit Kedrick with the fourth bomb in a row. "Cut it out!" Kedrick said, groaning in disbelief ad his car flew of a cliff "that's got to be cheating...." He mumbled, Dimitri raised his eyebrow. "people who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones." He said sagely, earning another groan from Kedrick. "lets not go quoting poetry, or she's going to beat both of us!" Dimitri glanced over at Arielle. "we've picked a dangerous opponent." He said with an grin just to ease the playfully competitive tension. " He quickly turned his eyes back to the screen as the finish line came into sight. He struggled to pull ahead but by this time it was pointless.

Arielle Shore
Arielle had managed to stay in the lead the entire time. There were some instances where she fell back a few places, but she was always able to come back into first place. It was interesting watching how Kedrick and Dimitri were still battling to beat her in the other screens. She felt herself smile at that point. She never thought she was a dangerous opponent, she just felt lucky. Her character crossed the line first and she leaned back, sitting the controller on her lap as she waited for the boys to finish their race.

Kedrick Suwa
The two boys weren't far behind, Dimitri crossed second and Kedrick third. Dimitri groaned, falling backwards onto the carpet. "I can't believe you beat me!" He cried in agony, flopping an arm dramatically across his face. He abruptly sat up, looking over at Arielle. "you said you weren't good at games like this!" he said in a playfully accusing tone. Kedrick bumped Dimitri with his shoulder. "she also says she's not good at cooking." he pointed out. Dimitri nodded. "can't trust a word she says." he said, grinning at her to let her know he meant no harm.

Arielle Shore
Arielle grinned shyly, a small blush of embarrassment appearing across her face. She laughed and only shrugged her shoulders, "I keep telling you that I'm not that good nor am I that bad. I'm right in the middle. Besides, you should trust what I say." She giggled before continuing, "Wanna go another round?"

Kedrick Suwa
Kedrick and Dimitri nodded simultaneously. "yeah, sure." Dimitri said, quickly sopping his nodding before the two of them started looking like bobble heads.
They played several more rounds actually, each of them now having a couple wins and a couple losses. Dimitri stood up, stretching his arms over his head. "that was fun." He said with a smile, "but, I've got some school work I have to take care of before tomarrow." Dimitri said truthfully. "uh...One more thing before I leave, I just, um..." He glanced at Arielle briefly. "could I talk to you a sec?"

Arielle Shore
Giggling, Arielle picked up her controller and picked out the next race for the three of them.
Arielle never knew how much fun she could of had playing racing games with the two boys. She always congratulated them when they won and teased them when they lost. Arielle felt a little sad when Dimitri said he had to leave, and was even surprised when he said he wanted to talk to her. She took a deep breath and stood up, walking out to the hallway and looked at Dimitri. "Is...Is something wrong?"

Kedrick Suwa
Kedrick looked up when Dimitri and Arielle stood to there feet. He was curious as to what Dimitri might want to talk to her about, but reprimanded himself sharply, telling himself that it was none of his business. But none the less, he turned, watching with concern as the two of them disappeared into the hallway.
Dimitri eased the hallway door closed and looked back over his shoulder at her. "no...nothing really wrong...." He said hesitantly, turning around to face here, a look of almost embarrassment on his face. "I just... I wanted to say that...I'm sorry." He blurted, twisting his fingers and staring intensely at the carpet. "what I did at the dance last night was...uncalled for, I shouldn't have put that kind of pressure on you....And I wanted to know if....if for now, you would just want to be..my friend?" he asked hopefully, looking up from the carpet, and slipping his hands into his pockets.

Arielle Shore
Arielle was surprised to hear that from Dimitri. To be honest, she didn't know what he was actually going to talk about. He also seemed to be really embarrassed as well. After blinking a few times, she smiled reassuringly at Dimitri. "Of course. But, aren't we already friends now, Dimitri?"

Dimitri shrugged his shoulders, he had always been bad with apology's, most guys were, but Dimitri was worse than most. "I guess..." He said uncertainly. " I didn't know.....I mean...I thought...maybe....after last night....." He looked down again, suddenly looking a lot like a shy, awkward little boy who was attempting to apologize for something trivial. He looked back up at her a completely unreadable expression on his face. "I didn't really know if you would want much to do with me...I mean, after all...I'm not...the easiest person to get along with..."

Arielle Shore
Arielle only shrugged her shoulders and smiled warmly, "That may be true, but compared to some of the guys who flirt on me in school, you're not bad. Besides, I know you're a good person and I'm sure we'll get along a lot better now. So there's no need to worry about it, alright?"

Kedrick Suwa
Dimitri nodded his head slowly. "ah, okay..." He said with a smile, "thanks." He added simply, nothing else was required. He smiled again, "C'mon then," He said, opening the hallway door and stepping back out into the den. Kedrick stood up, walking with them to the door. Dimitri smiled at his friend. "Well, G'night then." He said, lifting a hand in farewell. Kedrick stepped forward, hugging His friend tightly. "Do you have to go so soon?" He mumbled into his shoulder. "yep," Dimitri confirmed. "what about coffee?" he asked hopefully, pulling back. " I don't drink coffee." "Dessert?" Kedrick asked. Dimitri smiled and shook his head. " I've got school to do before tomorrow, I'm sure you do as well." Kedrick sighed in defeat." 'kay....We have to get together more often alright?" he asked, Dimitri nodded his head. "right," He turned to Arielle. "Good night Arielle, keep this one in check." He said gesturing to Kedrick. Kedrick smiled and hugged his friend again. "love you buddy," He said with a smile. "yeah, you too." Kedrick pulled back watching Dimitri step out the door. Dimitri trotted easily down the steps, glancing back over his shoulder and waving to the two of them before slipping into the car and driving off. Kedrick smiled watching Dimitri go. "That was fun..." He reminisced simply.
Dimitri drove to the small apartment, this time though, when he stepped inside, the silence and the emptiness didn't seem so unfriendly. With a slight laugh he turned on the lights. He couldn't remember the last time he had had that much fun.

Arielle Shore
Arielle walked back into the den with Dimitri, feeling somewhat at peace with herself. She had been worrying about the entire evening going wrong because of the night before, but now it seemed like thins were going to work out with everyone and she had no more need to stress out and panic. She watched the two of them talk to each other as the bid their farewells. Arielle only nodded and giggled when Dimitri asked her to keep Kedrick in check. She said her goodbyes and watched him leave.
Sitting back down, Arielle closed her eyes and sighed. "That was really fun. You up for another game? Or do you actually have work to do?" She opened her eyes and smiled at Kedrick.
((Gonna be gone for the next couple of days = w =. Might be my last post until Sunday afternoon.))

Kedrick Suwa
Kedrick followed Arielle into the den, his hands in his pockets. He smiled to himself as they stepped back into the comfortable room. Being able to get together with Dimitri like that had reminded him of how much he cared for the other boy, and how long it had been since he had seen though the callous, flirtatious act to the needy kid he had befriended so long ago. He smiled over at her, "nah, I got my work done ahead of time." He said, not sitting down yet. "I'd be up for another game...but... maybe after dessert." He asked her with a smile. Kedrick reached out a hand to her, as though it was an extension of the invitation.
