"Easy Koko, if they see those turrets moving they'll get spooked.. I'll open up a comms link..."
Zed flicked a few switches and pressed a few buttons on his control panel, eventually picking up the radio chatter of the small circling airships.
#"This is spacecraft Aiolos, requesting access to December city for resupply and refueling."#
They took a while to respond.
#"Roger that Aiolos, you're cleared to land at the airstrip."#

After a few moments Koko relaxed & removed her finger from over the trigger, but she stayed in her seat. She sighed heavily & leaned back in the chair. Her voice was subdued,
"I noticed you installed the metal arm..."
With her back to Zed, he wouldn't be able to see whatever emotions passed across her face.

Zed took the Aiolos down on the city's airstrip where a group of people were waiting.
"They look friendly to you? or do ya think they might be after the Aiolos too?..."

Koko spun in her chair, putting on a false smile for the pilot.
"Glad you like it, ever want an upgrade, you know ya can ask me."
With Zed's second comment she stood & made a dash to where she'd dropped her rifle when tending to the man. It seemed like only a second till she was back in the seat, slouching back & letting the gun rest against her shoulder.
"Don't worry, I'll stay here, hold down the fort. If they try to take the Aiolos...."
She brought the gun forward & held it in both hands threateningly.
"I'll give the gits a lesson they'll never forget. If they live o' course."

Zed lowered Koko's gun.
"Or alternatively we could lock it... and turn on the barrier sheild of course"
He smiled then scrambled off of his chair, put on his grey jacket and goggles then cartwheeled down to the airlock where he quickly donned a very serious expression.
"You think this look'll intimidate 'em? or sould i wear the poncho?..."
He tired several more expressions before opening the airlock.

Koko rolled her eyes but she stood up & followed Zed anyway - perhaps a short trip out of the Aiolos would do her good. She needed to get hold of some new clothes as it was.... As she walked up to the pilot she smacked him over the head,
"You idiot, if ya wanna look intimidating ya do this."
As the airlock opened the mercenary took a few steps out onto the wing of the Aiolos with her rifle held up. The wind blew her hair & trench coat & she narrowed her eyes as she looked at the small group of people milling about. Quite a few of them (mostly the men) looked up at her with a mix of fear & awe, not many people around here didn't know about Koko - the fiercesome woman who could dodge bullets & take out half an army by herself. Looking over her shoulder at Zed she stuck her tongue out slightly,
"Though I'm reckoning the attention I get isn't all fear - there's quite a bit of sexual tension wouldn't ya say?"
Winking, she made her way to the edge of the wing & leapt off into the crowd.

Zed sighed then walked out onto the wing before jumping off into the crowd after Koko.
A huge man wearing a smart-looking brown suit towered over the others, he spoke with an extremely deep voice that shook the ground slightly.
"So, you're the legendary pilot then? You two are pretty stupid showing your faces around here, don't you know theres a huge bounty on your heads?"
Zed looked at Koko, he looked cool and calm but was trying to signal to get back into the ship.

Koko looked over at Zed briefly, then smirked & took a few steps towards the big man. Even though he was very tall, the mercenary (at about 6') wasn't too much shorter than him. As she got within arms length of him he took a step back & a bead of sweat rolled down his face.
"Now look 'ere hun, I ain't foolin' around."
Koko just got closer & ran her hand across his chest & over his shoulders, walking behind him & giggling.
"Awww, you really want to hurt a girl like me? I just wanted to get some new clothes...."
Suddenly she had her rifle jabbing into his back & the mercenary wrapped her arm round his neck faster than a person could blink.
"Yeah, you know what that is. Now, if ya know what's good for you, you'll forget my friend & I were ever here. Believe me, I could take out everyone here before a single bullet was fired my way. Oh & I'll be taking some clothes too."

The huge man grunted.
"Fine..."
Zed clamly fired his wrist-mounted gun into the air, it sounded more like a cannon than a gun and the muzzleflash lit up the area, turning everone's attention to him.
Holy crap this thing packs a punch...
"Koko, lets find some clothes for ya. The rest of you, don't follow us... and stay the hell away from my ship."
Zed started walking off the landing strip and into some streets on the upper level of the city.

Koko pulled away from the big man & caught up to Zed, keeping her rifle in her hands. She looked over at him & sighed,
"You'll be alright by yourself right? I'm off to do some clothes shopping & stuff...."
With that she was gone; having sped off further into the city to search.

Zed carried on walking through the dusty streets.
The city of december used to be a stronghold that was home to an oppressive dictatorship, it was liberated by rebels every other weekend for 5 years. The reason the rebellions were not stopped was because it was everyone else's day off and it was 'just something to do'. The 'weekend wars' as they were known ended when the dictator died of natural causes aged 242.
Recently the city has been stricken by droughts as their underground water supply has collapsed.

Koko slung her rifle across her back & meandered through the streets. She flitted every now & again, acquiring a piece of clothing or something to create a new weapon with. When she was finished she thought about heading back to the Aiolos, but instead went in the opposite direction, nipping into a deserted alleyway to quickly change. When she emerged her shirt was now a new blue one & she was wearing fairly tight dark grey trousers - though her trench coat was still the same. She'd also taken the chance to re-dress her wounds with the medical supplies she's grabbed. Looking around for a moment, the mercenary brushed a stray strand of hair from her face then strode off again. She briefly wondered what Zed was up to, before pushing the thought from her mind.

Zed walked back to the Aiolos, dragging a large sack of various supplies that he'd haggled furiously to get from the street vendors. A picture of a woman caught his attention, he looked back to investigate, discovering that it was a bounty poster for Koko and himself.
Zed ripped it off the wall and read it as he walked.
WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE
'THE PILOT'- the so-called legendary pilot of the AIOLOS.
AND
'KOBURAYASHA'- the infamous cobra deamon mercinary...
REWARD 500,000,000z for both, 180,000,000z for one.
EXTRA REWARD WILL BE ADDED FOR THE CAPTURE OF THE SHIP 'AIOLOS'
Zed rubbed his eyes to check the reward again.
500,000,000 zeni!? for what?!
Zed hurried back to the Aiolos, railgun drawn.

After a little while, Koko knew she was being followed. She sighed & slowly took her rifle from her back, slinging her supplies where the gun had been.
"You guys sure picked the wrong girl to mess with. I mean seriously...."
She was suddenly behind them, facing slightly to the side - the group consisted of 7 men, each carrying a gun of some sort, some with pistols, some with rifles etc.
"Don't you know how fast I am?"
Her voice was completely level as she raised her gun to aim at their heads. She had a frightening look on her face - not angry, just dangerous - as the men span round to try & shoot her. As they unloaded their magazines onto her position she had already moved to the side.
"That wasn't very smart."
A series of shots rang out from her gun & soon the men all had bullet holes in their heads. Without a backwards glance, the mercenary began walking again, noticing the 'WANTED' posters scattered around with her image on it.

Zed reached the Aiolos where a group of people were scattered around on the floor after being flung by the barrier-sheild.
"I told you to stay away from it."
He pressed a button on his uplink then got back onboard the Aiolos, re-activating the sheild after entering. He waited for Koko in the airlock.
