[Jenny :: BC/HT :: Dining Car]

Jenny returned the hug, sighing into Dawn's arms. She wouldn't have imagined tessen wielder to come console her, she hardly knew Jenny. Yet, it felt nice to be hugged and it made her yearn for home but she wasn't going to start tears anew at a completely unrelated subject.

"Thanks Dawn, thank you so much."

[Dawn : HT/BC : Dining Car]

"Anytime..." she answered Jenny, patting Jenny's head a couple more times, she loosened her arms in case the girl wanted to pull away from the hug, it was her choice.

Though she may not of known Jenny for long, she could still be able to help someone who needed a shoulder to cry on or someone she could help in someway. It was the way Dawn had always lived by. And always would.

[[Louis : HT/BC : Dining Car]]

Louis lifted an eyelid slightly, glancing curiously at Jenny and Dawn's heartwarming moment. Louis' eyelid dropped a bit as his eyebrows lifted and rolled out to the sides slightly. Something inside him wanted to walk over and give them his own comforting words, eventually he stood to his feet, struggling a bit with a small wobble. He strolled over to them careful not to lose his balance, "Are you ladies alright? Anything I can do to help? I'm not in nearly as bad shape as some of the others, so I can manage." Louis asked, his mind drifting to Joe, then another thought came to his lips as he continued, "My sincerest apologies for the loss of your friend. I didn't know her like you did... so I can't share you pain... but I can help you deal with the pain the best I can... don't hesitate to ask."

[ Qareen | The Flying Dutchman | The Cap'n's Quarters]

The little freak stood aside, watching the whole ordeal with detached interest. Her black eyes focused momentarily on the black amalgam in Ajora's palm, then dropped to her own hands, which were encased with the blood of the recently deceased. It was just beginning to crust around her fingers. She could feel it pulling lightly at her skin.

She'd enjoyed it. Heck, she'd loved it. And that scared her more than anything.

"Anything else you need done that involves me leaving this @#$% excuse of a ship?" she blurted out, shunning her previous thoughts - memories - from her attention. She wasn't a monster she wasn't a monster she wasn't him.
She wasn't him.

[Jenny :: BC/HT :: Dining Car]

Jenny stayed still for a moment longer before taking a small step back, misinterpreting the loosening of Dawn's arms. Did the wind user feel awkward though it hardly seemed that way but Jenny couldn't help but wonder. It hurt to think negatively. But the hug helped, hugs always helped and she was thankful for Dawn.

The mage stiffened a little as Louis approached, she had forgotten that he was in the car. She was so caught up in her tears that Louis' voice made her jump and feel embarrassed. She was still crying her eyes out. Jenny twisted at the hem of her skirt, glancing down and watching her tears fall to their doom. But his words surprised her, she wasn't expecting it. She remembered when he quickly snatched his hand away from hers... that Louis and this Louis felt different. His words were still formal, but it didn't matter to the musician. She tilted her head up a litter and tried to smile past her wet face. "Thanks, it's just... I've never had to deal with death before. I mean my grandfather died but I wasn't there for it... I felt like... like..." I didn't have control of it... but this... A new wave of tears came and she would've lunged to hug the boy that stood before her, but rational thought held her back... after all, he was the same person that seemed to flinch away.

[Dawn : HT/BC : Dining Car]

Dawn looked up hearing Louis's voice, she looked at him only for a moment before looking down at Jenny who pulled out of the hug. She reached up and rubbed the girl's back as if to reasure her, and gave a small gentle smile to her as Jenny seemed to straighten out her dress.

It wasn't long before that smile fell. She glanced up at Louis once more remembering what he said then at Jenny once more. Lastly she looked at her own feet before she spoke.

"Thank you...I appreciated it. Though I guess I could be in the same boat. I can't say I know the girl. I have only been here not too long. I never even got a chance to talk to her. It is sad.... I have seen my share of death, too much.... My grandma, grandpa... Dad..." Dawn let out a shaky sigh before she spoke again, "Just know I am here too..."

As she spoke, Dawn put her right hand over the angel pendant around her neck. It was not the same as the one that her father had given to her. But it was identical, and holding it gave her comfort as she saw a couple tears building in the corners of her eyes that she refused to let fall.

[[Louis : HT/BC : Dining Car]]

Louis nodded in reply to them both, his expression becoming more solemn as he watched the tears fall, "She's... She's in a better place now, I'm sure of it. She won't need to feel any pain of this world anymore. It's our responsibility not to let them down, and carry on their wishes. I'm sure you won't let her down."

Louis looked down, not able to take the sinking feeling he felt watching them. The sick feeling in his gut that said something, though he wasn't sure what, was wrong, "It's up to us to right the wrong in the world now."

[Dawn : HT/BC : Dining Car]

Dawn looked up hearing Louis's words, her hand gripping her pendant even tighter. Her eyes narrowed as she nodded.

"All we can do now is live her," she said, "Treasure the memories even the sad ones. Not just for her, but for all that has been lost."

Dawn slowly looked at the door that separated them from the car where the body of the girl was currently located.

'Dad, please help watch over her. As I know you are watching over Shalynn, Eli and Krystal...'

[Amy ; Cloud : LoD : Throne Room]

The fight with Kurt Zisa had been tiring for Amy both physically, and magically, as it must have been on the other Earthlings as well. That boss had not been easy to defeat, and she didn't even try to deny the pride she felt at having dealt the final blow. Oh, she knew well enough she couldn't have done it alone, and the very thought had her wanting to turn to Kyla, beaming a smile... but she didn't dare.

She couldn't. Her eyes were glued to the scene before her, one that just a moment ago seemed defused. This man, this stranger in armor, had formed a sword of ice, and the tip of it was on John's neck. Her breathing stopped.

It was John who had befriended her from the start, seeking her out, and making her feel better- less isolated and overwhelmed. He had given her hope. John. John from Cleveland.

Her eyes hardened. The familiar weight of her weapons once again appeared in her hands. Amy was tired, worn out, magically exhausted, and mentally overwhelmed. She aimed her guns at him anyway, and pulled back the triggers. She remained silent to his request for an answer, taking note that he seemed to be aiming most of his comments at Kichi (the other Jon) anyway. Kind of like he didn't really care about what the others answers as much as Kichi's. Ooooor she could be reading way too deep into it.

All of her openings were taken away in the space of a few heartbeats. First, John got knocked against the wall, and crumbled there, unmoving. Next, Kichi was fighting too closely for her to shoot without the risk of hitting an ally. Riku, however, had no problem aiming, and fired off one of those dark fire thingies that she vaguely remembered he was capable of doing. Shouts from the new mage guy mirrored many of her thoughts, and Mulan also attacked. As things played out, her jaw almost dropped. Who was this guy?

She remained inactive now not just because of any fear of hitting her friends, but also from the question of what good it would do. This guy was dodging with ease, shrugging off John's stun attack, and freezing fire. FREEZING. FIRE. Oh, shi-

Amy dropped to her knees, ducking her head in and covering it with her arms. The fireballs missed her, but the ice shattered all over her. She chanced a look up -what choice did she have, really- and stood up quickly. The ice shards had done more damage than the fireballs, and her arms and back had minor cuts running down their length. And there he was, throwing a spear at the mage.

An opening? Amy aimed and fired immediately as the ice spear left the man's hand. Her bullets were crystal, and it occurred to her only after she had fired how camouflaged they were against all the shattering ice. Funny how that worked out. It wasn't much of an attack, two bullets only; however, they were both aimed at the crack in his helmet, straight for his eyes. Her aim, however, was questionable, especially for such a small target.

Cloud was once again next to Maggie, shielding her from all attacks. The girl was still unconcious. Beatrix was next to him as well, and Cloud noted that she wasn't in the best of shape, either. It looked like she had fallen hard in the Kurt Zisa fight, and was still disoriented.

He narrowed his eyes at the newcomer, but was more upset with Maggie and Beatrix than the new threat. He wanted to fight, and thanks to these two, that was impossible.

[Nick :: Jadis' Castle]

Nicholas looked to his teacher, a new understanding of her dawned upon him. At the mention of training, he stared at her with mixed emotions. Training would be beneficial, but, he was lazy and didn't really want to. Especially after that filling meal, he didn't think he could fight off a single Shadow.

"...Alright, teacher. We can train." He said finally, standing up and moving to the corridor.

[ ??? : Jadis' Castle -> Unknown Plains ]

As the two entered the Corridor of Darkness (which closed upon their entrance), they would find themselves in a flat region, filled with plains as far as the eye could see, with a clear sky and the sun at mid-day.

"First, as the Maester has informed you, you must be able to remain covert. Your identity as one of us cannot be discovered... and the easiest way one is noticed is by one's clothing," she explained, motioning toward him. "Louis, his other pupil, has developed two outfits so that he may fit in whichever role he needs to, separating the two identities."

"So, the question: if you were asked to it in with a group of others without giving away your identity as my pupil, would you be wearing that set of clothing? Or would you instead keep that as your battle outfit?" she continued, her voice seeming almost... pleasant as she was able to help him, even if it was in the darkness.

[Alan :: LoD :: Throne Room]

Alan jumped back as his assailant reflected his attack back at him, raising an arm to shield himself from the fire. This man was just unfairly strong - Alan wasn't sure what he could do about his magic. He considered breaking the barrier. The wisest course of action would probably be to get Seymour's help - if he was anything like he was in Final Fantasy X, he would probably be capable of matching that jerk's power, and he did say the Earthlings were his charge . . .

But Alan's wounded pride forbade it. He would find a way to defeat this man, come Hell or high water.

Alan was dragged out of his ruminations by the sight of his foe advancing on him, two magic ice spears at the ready. It seemed almost dreamlike. The strange figure advancing through the fire and ice, the shouts of his erstwhile allies, and the creaky sound of ice cracking all seemed to flow into one surreal image. Suddenly, the absurdity of this whole thing hit Alan like a truck.

As if in a trance, acting on reflex more than a deliberate plan, Alan brought Jehuti up, blocking his chest. Fortunately, this shielded his vital organs from being transfixed, but Alan was sent flying backwards, and collided with one of the barriers, which made a sickening crunching sound.

Alan struggled to remain conscious as he slid to the floor. His back hurt immensely, but he didn't have time to think about that now. He could only hope that nothing was broken. He took to his feet, teeth and fists clenched in an effort to keep a straight face despite the pain as his frenzied mind thought around for some way he could help.

He noticed that his foe had yet to throw his other spear. Offensive magic was worthless against this man, but maybe Alan could rob him of a weapon.

As Jehuti had taught him, Alan focused, allowing his consciousness to slip away from the physical world and perceive the flow of magic energy. There . . . that big mass of it was probably the conjured spear. He'd be getting rid of that.

Eyes still closed (he was new to this and it helped him focus), Alan reached out, mentally seizing hold of the spell, constricting it. Then, opening his eyes and clenching his fist, he released its energy, using the Counterspell technique.

[Jenny :: BC/HT :: Dining Car]

Jenny remained silent as Dawn and Louis talked, there was an overwhelming feeling of sadness in her before something lit up in the back of Jenny's mind, something that Zexion said before he left the car. She sniffled, and wiped her face again, accomplishing little. "Zexion said something... something about them, holding onto Rae's heart. Like Aladdin. Meaning... she can't be dead. Her body would've disappeared," Jenny voiced, quiet at first with hiccups and sniffs in between words. But as she spoke, Zexion's words sunk in.

"So... we should be able to get her back," somehow... I think. Jenny was unsure about the last part, the replicas were strong and who knew who else they teamed up with. Her brows furrowed as she furiously wiped at her tears to no avail.

((*White text is a hallucination and can only be perceived by Cory*))

[Cory .:. Narnia .:. Enclave]

The rogue stepped through the dark portal and into the familiar Enclave, looking around for a moment before sitting down on a nearby rock. He hunched over as he sat, smiling as the movement caught the corner of his eye. "Heh... So what next?" He looked up and laughed a bit at what he saw.

Before him stood a young boy who bore a striking resemblance to the renegade ronin. He sat down next to Cory on the rock and laughed a bit before saying, "Well, for one it was a good thing you didn't continue with the deals with Hades. I already know where Seymour's hideout is."

Cory raised an eyebrow before saying, "What? When did you find this out?"

"Before we were joined together again. I thought I told you this already?"

"I wasn't paying attention."

The young boy sighed as he slapped his forehead in frustration. "Seymour's hideout... You've actually been there before, haven't you?"

The ronin shook his head before laying back on the rock, his hands behind his head as he said, "Not that I can remember. Where is it?"

"It's-" At that exact moment, the boy vanished from sight and was replaced by... A platypus.

The ronin chuckled a bit to himself before stating allowed, "Silly monotremes..."

[[Louis : LoD : Throne Room]]

Louis' gaze flashed up, the sound of gun shots. He could barely make out the trajectory in time. The bullets flew in, his crimson eyes flickered, his spear spinning up to block his face. The first bullet ricocheted off the spear, a loud crack following, then another shatter, followed by an immediate sequential shatter after the first.

The first bullet had been blocked, but the damage left behind made the spear weak enough to break through. Alan's counter spell made it as flimsy as paper the moment the second shot hit. The crystal bullet flew right into the helmet and broke a hole right into the face. Louis released an unnatural, unholy scream. He gripped a hand over his face, roaring. A pillar of ice rose up underneath Louis, quickly he rose up above them, looking down intimidatingly, "Fools! My wrath shall be swift and and unrelenting! Prepare to die!"

All of the walls rippled, then the whole shape behind Louis shifted. The wall formed a flowing wave of a thousand spears. Louis raised his arms of his head, "Now!" Louis threw his hands forward yelling, "Face death!"

[[Louis : HT/BC : Dining Car]]

Louis looked up suddenly to Jenny's statement, "What do you mean? Is there still hope she's alive? But she looked dead to me... and after everything that girl did to her... who lives through that?" What could they be thinking? I was sure they'd destroy it...
