  Mitch & Cadarl
Cadarl remembered to be polite to one of (obviously) higher rank and allowed his head to bow forwards a bit.
"Greetings. I'm Cadarl, the Co-Captain," He spat the word like it was the plague, "Of Team Valor."
He gestured with his head behind him towards the Chimchar.
"And that bundle of patheticness is Mitch, our leader."
Mitch stiffened his back and stood straight up, confronting his fear. Although he slumped a bit.
"N-No, it's just...complicated..."

The Umbreon glanced at Opal then to Mitch and could not help but laugh lightly.
So the Chimchar was afraid of women! That made his own fears seem understandable by comparison.
"Well met, Cadarl. Mitch. This is Opal." He pointed to the Monferno and nodded slowly.
"You are not scary." He added as an after thought. Quite the opposite actually.

 OpalThe Monferno's tail began to sway lightly behind her as she smiled a little.
"I-I guess it's just a ridiculous phobia then... We all have them..." She explained softly.
"I'm sure if you spent some time with a girl, you'd realize that we're not all bad or scary..."

Mitch & Cadarl Cadarl smiled pleasingly at Xavier, although it came out more creepy than anything.
Mitch's teeth visibly chattered and he had to hold the bottom of his jaw just to make sure he stopped.
"P-Perhaps..." Mitch muttered, still puffing out his chest in attempts to not look too scared.

The Umbreon smiled back but was inwardly grimacing. Ghosts, ghosts were soooo creepy. He so detested ghosts.
He turned his eyes to Mitch and Opal, wanting another focal point that wasnt so...scary.
"Perhaps now is a good time as any. Dont worry, pal. If she attacks you I got it covered." Xavier joked, offering Opal a smile to show he was kidding.

OpalOpal sat back and shot Xavier a glance.
Even if he was kidding, she would never do that!

Mitch & Cadarl Cadarl glanced between Opal and his leader, sensing that Mitch was more uncomfortable then he could manage.
Mitch gulped a bit. "Y-Yes, it would seem necessary for my advancement to learn to... Deal with... Women, I suppose..."
He gave a crooked smile at Opal. At least she was of his species... Oh, wait, that made him even MORE nervous.

The Umbreon laughed, practically rolling on the ground in hysterics when a shadow fell over him.
He glanced up to meet the red gaze of an extremely intimidating-looking Raichu.
"I see you fixed your leg, X. Up for another rou-...oh? Hello." In midsentence he paused, seeing other Pokemon around and offered a pleasant smile which further cast shadows over his already dark face and gave him a creepy grin.
"These guys are new here. Thats Mitch and Cardarl, and shes my friend Opal."
"A pleasure. I dont suppose any of you would be interested in a fight?" He spoke in a soft peaceful tone, but his eyes flashed red as he spoke.

OpalOpal shivered and looked up at the Raichu.
"H-H-Hi..." She studdered.
That was a scary looking Raichu.
"S-Sorry, I don't like fighting..."

Mitch & Cadarl Cadarl scoffed at just the mentioning of it. He knew it would be stupid for him to fight a battle he obviously couldn't win, so why would anyon--
"I'll fight," Mitch said with purpose, puffing out his chest.
Cadarl's head sunk in disappointment. Not only did he beat his Captain in wits, but now he also beat him in common sense.
"It will show my true worth and better my skills," Mitch added.

Xavier rolled his eyes. Sheesh, not this again.
The Raichu stood up on his hindlegs, easily towering over the others and extended his claws.
"Excellent! Thats what I like to hear! Then show me your skills, little Chimchar!" The electric type vanished in a flash of black and went charging at the smaller fire type with a Volt Tackle.
The Umbreon took this opportunity to step next to Cadarl.
"Is he really stupid or did we catch him on an off day?"

OpalOpal chose to get as far away from the fight as she could.
So, she stood up and leaped up into a nearby tree, hanging upside-down by her tail.
"I reaaally don't like fighting..."

Mitch & Cadarl Cadarl did the Shuppet equivalent of a shrug. "I can't say he isn't smart; he has a lot of pride, however, that requires him to prove himself to others."
Mitch flipped around to face Storm, his eyes gleaming with intensity at the sight of the on-coming attacker. His next move was...
Taunt.
He jumped up and down and made classic monkey-sounds, slapping his hind-quarters in Storm's direction.
"Come and get me, you big Oger!" he yowled.
Cadarl sweatdropped. "Perhaps he IS just stupid..."

Xavier sighed and turned to hook his claws onto the tree Opal had escaped too. With a snicker he scaled up and sat on the branch she swung from.
"I'll have to step in if Storm gets too riled up. He can have a nasty temper sometimes."
The Raichu, as though to prove Xavier's words, was cursing as he swung around towards Mitch.
His claws swung up in a Metal Claw as he slashed at the monkey.

Xavier looked awfully down last time his arm broke, she'd hate to see that again.
