Probably. I haven't played BattleTech in what, 10 years almost? Just can't find anyone to play with out here. So I bet I'm missing out on all sorts of new rules and craft.
With all this deep space exploration, it makes me wonder if it was a mistake making a Marine. Doesn't seem like there would be much to do, between what the GA and ASDF apparently handles for him.
Other than walking the decks of a ship. On the off chance there would be an enemy boarding party or something... rolleyes

You know... if the GNG followed the real US forces, the Marines probably would have been the first to suffer from budget cuts. You know, because Marines make do. They always have. So they've always been underfunded. sweatdrop
And since that is the plot they've been working with, the budget cuts, wouldn't that mean no new shiny destroyers? sweatdrop

Arcturus Highwind You know... if the GNG followed the real US forces, the Marines probably would have been the first to suffer from budget cuts. You know, because Marines make do. They always have. So they've always been underfunded. sweatdrop And since that is the plot they've been working with, the budget cuts, wouldn't that mean no new shiny destroyers? sweatdrop well if the downtowners kill enough uptowners I'm sure budgets will go back soon enough... and if a single person can rip a hole in a SDN... that would be sufficient cause for concern.
