Tsukiko felt her eyes flash red and stay that color. Over her dead body where they going to harm anyone anymore. "So," she whispered in a voice not to be heard, "what is the plan." Several idea's went though her head. None of them hers. She shook them out letting her eyes return to normal. If she let loose now she might kill the wrong person. She wasn't herself, the true witch had been let loose when she remembered her past.

Then again nothing was making sense anymore. Something still bug her about Nemo's brother though. His name seemed rather odd and she knew exactly why. She pushed it off for the moment. Nemo was still a child after all she knew she had dreams about her brother still. Yes that was completely understandable. Finally some sense in the world. She looked at the two men, and Nemo.

She felt the cold metal hit her hand. Thank god she still had her best friend. Looking at Palian she waited for a command anything. Waiting wasn't something she was comfortable with at the moment. Being left alone in her own mind was a scary thing with her memories. Wondering why they would even want Nemo and Palian was something that she didn't understand. The school was to safe it seemed for them to even get Nemo.

Five minutes after the meeting, she and her group were standing at the edge of the forest where the students had entered. "Headquarters, this is Alessa. We are about to enter the forest. Please keep track of us." She said cooly into the headset, pressing the "talk" button on the side of the earpiece. Turning to Ayuka, she asked the whereabouts of the students. After a bit of silence, Ayuka finally had something to say. "They're in the forest, about 2 miles in north-northwest from our current location. I've also detected another group's presence that… We should go." Ayuka said slowly, looking at Alessa. Nodding to the others, Alessa dove into the forest.

"Be careful of the forest dwellers too." Alessa called to her teammates as the forest rushed by them. No one actually knew what lived in the forest, though there were many stories and rumors about it. Still, it was good to be prepared, just in case. "They've changed direction! North-Northeast of us now, by about 2.5 to 3 miles." Ayuka called out, close behind Alessa. The reason Alessa had brought her along was because Ayuka was the scanner of the team, quite literally.

"Wonder what kind of things live here." Elliot mused, easily keeping pace with the leader. "Aren't you more concerned about why they entered here? At this hour?" Lynne pressed the rest of the team, slightly behind Ayuka. Alessa sighed inwardly. No matter who she picked, they tended to try and make small talk. It was a bit frustrating, really. "Alessa. They've come in contact with three other people. One seems like a student, but he's unconscious. The other two… I don't recognize them. Ah! One of the students we're pursuing just attacked them! This is not good…" Ayuka murmured, keeping the team up to date with the status of their "prey". Alessa sighed. So much for an easy recon and rescue mission. She thought to herself, unsheathing her twin stilettos. "Keep low, don't let them see you for now. I want to get a good idea of the situation we're handling here before we decide to do anything." Alessa told the group, jumping off of the big boulder the other group had passed a couple minutes ago.

"Coming in contact with target in three minutes." Ayuka warned. Slowing the pace a little bit, Alessa planted herself in a nearby bush while Tom, Elliot, Sam, Lynne and Ayuka hid around the waterfall clearing. Alessa opened her eyes and ears to observe the situation before making any decisions.

Tsukiko bit her lip, watching her friend get hurt. It made even Kiko wince. She hoped it didn't hurt as bad as it looked like it did. Looking at Palian she wanted to ask why she had to sit and watch. She knew better and left it alone, she felt weak. She wonder what he was feeling. "Ryo Flight Form Number 18 please." Sighing she closed her eyes letting go of her scythe.

Opening her eyes she was first greeted with the odd wings her friend love.Flight Form 18 was something she had thought she would never use. It was a standby, mostly used for just sitting or floating. Not something Tsukiko enjoyed, but had no choice. Looking at the demon as she sat on her makeshift broomstick. She wonder how powerful he really was, wondering if she herself would ever hold powers like that.

Knowing her couldn't hear her, knowing he didn't need it, and yet she still wanted to say it. Not even Fyte's would would pick it up. The 'Good Luck,' she whispered was something not needed. Even if he was powerful, she didn't want to see him get hurt. She looked at Nemo and hoped they could fix him up. Reaching for her locket she remembered that it wasn't there and just gripped her jacket. Now she was alone in her mind again. Alone in her mind while watching someone she cared about fight.

She felt a cold wind blow sending her hair to go of to her left shoulder. She wondered if the black wind was going to take someone away. She wouldn't mind if it took her, then she wouldn't be alone like she was now.

Since he asked first, he might as well get over it. "I'm looking for someone. Someone who used to be very close to me." He started, eyes darting towards the door before he continued on. "I think I might have a lead, but I'm not too sure about it yet. Can you help me?" He looked back at Ace, a hint of sadness in his eyes as he was lost in memories. "I totally understand if you don't want to help. i was just wondering."

Tyrek nearly barked out a loud laugh, but was able to stifle it to a chuckle. "Well, you're half right, if you were thinking what I think you were. But no, not close in that way. She looks… well, used to. I'm hoping that she still resembles this." He reached into his pocket, fishing out a pocket watch from within and held it out for Ace to see. With the press of the button, the cover flew open to reveal a photo. It was one of his most prized possessions, and it wasn't something very many people had seen. The picture itself was at least seven years old, and it showed a picture of a younger Tyrek and a girl. "Maybe you or I (whoever has more free time) could look at her files? Sorry, I just want to make sure I have the right person before I go asking her what I need to know."

[[BWAHAHAHAH!!!! …I'm guessing you guys already know where this is heading.]]

Sparing the air witch one last glance as she backed away, the demon then turned his full gaze to the brunette before him. The man straightened himself, a smug smile twisting his face. Every step Palian took the man seemed to grow larger and more intimidating, but he was not deterred.

"Come on then. Do your worst. You can't hurt me no matter what your planning," he taunted. Taking a step forward in acceptance of his challenge, the man bent a little to be at eye level with his opponent. Instead of charging in like many would do, Palian walked closer to his quarry with an air of certainty. This threw the man off guard, not expecting such a calm opponent. The area continued to grow colder, and with it the man became larger and more muscly, his baggy shirt straining under his sudden bulk.

"My worst? You are in such a hurry. It's a shame. I wanted to see how strong you really are," Palian thought aloud, his voice monotone and devoid of emotion. His smile returned and a light sparkled in his eyes. "But if you insist in ending it quickly, who am I to deny?"

In an instant, he brought himself within inches of the man, his hands raised to hold the brunettes' head. The smile faltered on the man, not expecting him to move so quickly.

"It's only a dream. It can't hurt you," the blond yelled, but the man didn't seem to hear. A sheen of sweet covered his forehead. He tried to lift his arms to fend Palian off, but before he could the demon opened his mouth. A tirade of screams, the same ones from when he first appeared, filled the air, breaking the illusion the man tried to spin.

The instant the illusion was dispelled, the area became warmer and less foggy. Likewise as the images were shattered, the man who was in Palian's arms grew smaller and more frail. He began to wale and writhe at his touch, trying to get away in vain. Keeping him close, Palian locked eyes with the man, his voice chanting in an undertone of the screams. No one could make out the words, but whatever was said made a chill run along everyone's spine. Fyte, as the one most sensitive to air currents, could feel a steady stream moving from the man to Palian.

"No you fool!" the blond yelled again, pulling Nemo in front of him like a shield.

The screams abruptly stopped the moment Palian closed his mouth. An echo of the noise bounced along the trees before fading away. A husk contorted into a grotesque shape dropped to the ground. It's empty eyes stared in the direction of Fyte and Tsukiko. The man was dead, very very dead.

The demon raised his head, taking a deep cleansing breath. He stood still, basking in the new energy and the solidness that it provided. His body seemed more solid than before, no static hazing along his silhouette. His hair ruffled in the light breeze and his clothes even seemed to move with him like real fabric.

Leveling his gaze from its heavenward musings, he locked onto the next piece of business. The man who huddled behind his master.

"I will only ask you once, since you seem to value your life," Palian voiced levelly as he stepped over the dead husk. Even as he passed, the shell began to flake away and crumble into dust. He moved with the air of a predator getting ready to pounce, his body tense in readiness.

"Give me the boy."

"Not on your life," the suited man growled. His large arms clung to Nemo, his hands squeezing hard enough to leave bruises. As Palian drew closer, the man stepped back.

"You can't hurt him. If you do you disappear. So that makes me in charge here," he yelled. Unfortunately, this only made the demon laugh and draw closer.

"I take it back. I guess you don't value your life after all," he mused cynically.

"Stop right there! Don't come any closer!" the blond demanded as he held out a needle. Pressing it dangerously close to Nemo's neck, he motioned that he would stick him.

"This little needle has a potent chemical used to put animals to sleep. In a dose this size it would easily kill a child," he explained with a sneering smile. Palian faltered, his advance halting as he glared at the man, unsure how to proceed.

"Better. See, I think we can work out a deal, you and me. My employer wants to harness this ability of projecting objects from dreams. He seems to think it a very lucrative business in the making. You let me take him and they find out how he does it, and I can make sure that he is both unharmed and that you do not have to disappear."

The offer was a tempting one. The very thing that Palian had hoped to gain by being here. A place in the waking world. Time to wander the land and explore the many facets to the dimension. To taste and feel and smell the world. And only be bound by his own imagination. His eyes fell onto his master, his body limp and frail in the arms of the bulky man. To be free of his creator.

Eyes narrowing, he lifts them to lock gazes with the blond. Shaking his head, he slowly steps forward again.

"But this could be the chance you want, right? To live forever and do as you please."

"Only because you would keep him in a permanent coma. I don't want freedom if it costs him his chance at life," he countered. It was only at that moment that he realized this. Yes, he wanted to be free to do what he wanted, but not at the cost of his master. Yes, he often taunted him saying either freedom or death, but he never really meant it. He would rather stay connected and only get his small moments of time here than take all of Nemo's away.

Twisted in a mixture of panic and rage, the man looked at the boys limp body and thrust his arm down to jab the needle in. Only it never made it. He looked in disbelief at the pale hand that moved into the needles path. Palian used his free hand to pull the man off his feet, his needle punctured hand forcing Nemo out of his grasp. With a flick of his wrist, the dream demon sent the man flying into the trees. A heavy thud silencing his yell as a tree shuddered.

Pulling the needle out of his hand, he dropped the offending contraption and hoisted Nemo in his arms. Using the same method as before, he walked back across the gap. A look of triumph lighting his face.

She and her team were stunned, to say the least. "He… he's dead." Ayuka whispered over the radio, disbelief in her voice. None of them had ever faced a death like this before. A terrified scream was heard, though Alessa held her ground. It was most likely because of what had just happened; she couldn't really blame the girl for crying out. "Hold position until I say." Alessa said quietly, eavesdropping once again onto the conversation upon the ledge. She instantly identified the white haired boy and the blond to be threats, though she had no idea which one was more dangerous. Possibly the white haired boy, since he had just killed someone. Then again, that suited man seemed to be quite troublesome too. While she was thinking of who to intercept first, Ayuka nearly shouted into the mouthpiece.

"Blond at five o'clock!" was the frantic message right when a sickening thud was heard. "Everyone, to me! We'll intercept the guy in the suit first. Knock him out, so we may question him at HQ." Alessa ordered, dashing towards the fallen man. It didn't take long for the squad to find the blond, slumped at the base of a big oak. Kneeling down, Sam took his pulse. "Seems to be out. Should we take him back now?" he said, looking to Alessa for orders.

"Hold on for now. We have to make sure that the group of students get out safely too. Elliot, Sam, and Tom, you guys carry that man. We're gonna go back to see if the group is alright, then escort them out of the forest. Ayuka, send a message to HQ that everything's alright for now." Alessa said, nodding to the boys as they hefted the man up. Pivoting, she lead the group back to the small clearing.
