((Sorry edited cause I posted this before people were actually in the house I guess. Sorry for the long post as well XP))

"Wow, this puts my tiny apartment to shame," Olivia sighed pulling her rickety car across the street from the very grand-looking home, a plume of smoke billowed out of the exhaust of her car as she put it in park and took her keys out.

She flicked the paper business card with her finger, wanting to finish a smoke to help her gain the courage do something. He had instructed her to let him know if she saw the Corey gal, which once she saw a glimpse of what looked like her in an SUV, she immediately made a U-y and followed the car here.

One hand smothered the cigarette out in the ash tray, while the other tapped nervously on the wheel. He had said to contact him if she saw her, but that was weeks ago, and she had noticed Mr Shipp had been on edge ever since their talk. It just all seemed very strange...

"...meh, maybe I'll check it out first. I don't want to be the cause of my boss walking into some mafia FBI trap...thing...or something..." she mumbled off, waiting for what looked like Ms Corey and another figure walked into the house. Stepping out of the car and walking calmly up to the house, she waited a few minutes before shakily knocking on the door.

"Hello, Lou" (assuming it's Lou) Roxanna said politely, stepping in as directed. "Marcus is still concerned for my safety, I take it?"
((Nah, not Lou. It's a butler. Lou's big, brooding and looks like a burn victim.

The Butler led Rook and Roxanna down the hall, only to be stopped by another knock. The butler made a disgruntled noise and made his way back down the hall to the door, and opened it, raising an eyebrow.
"Good morning, miss... To be honest, I have no clue who the hell you are. May I ask your business with Mister Shipp?"

Marcus' bodyguard, Lou, stepped into the hall, eying both Rook and Roxanna. Lou was a big man, almost seven feet tall. The man looked to be horribly disfigured, by fire or chemicals, his face and hands covered in scars, pits, and discoloration. He was cloaked in a heavy duster that hardly moved with him, giving indication of great weight concealed inside of it, both the coat and his heavy boots clinking and clunking with each step the giant took.
"Come. He's been shaking himself to bits over you, Roxanna. Good to see you alive, with security. Now, let's go. He's on the patio, finishing breakfast." His voice was of gravel, a slight accusation to his flat expression as he led Roxanna and Rook through the long halls of Marcus' mansion.

"I still don't think he should worry so much, "Roxanna said to Lou's back as she walked after him.

She took in a breath as she walked out on the patio, considering she'd been stuck in the apartment for the last two days, it was nice to get a bit of the seaside breeze. She brushed back her hair and smiled at Marcus, "Hello, Marcus Shipp, are you doing well?"

Lou just made a grunting noise to reply.

Once outside, they saw Marcus sitting with their back to them, wearing slippers and a fluffy bathrobe, enjoying his morning coffee, the mouthful he was currently enjoying promptly being ejected out onto the lawn at the sound of Roxanna's voice, he stood, and spun around quickly, almost dropping his cup.
"By God, you're alive! How in the blazes did you manage to not explode with your house!?"

((...Sorry T___T Also I'm editing Olivia's post, cause I didn't realize it still said she was a Keeper till yesterday XP))

Her whole bit she had planned about selling magazines for a collage trip to get names flew out of her head after being nearly shouted at by a disgruntled-looking British man.

"...uhh...well...I-wait," she paused, staring blankly forward, before pulling out Mr Shipp's card, "You said Mr Shipp? The guy who runs the Guard? I work for him at the downtown post..." Olivia contorted her face, wishing she could just step aside for a moment and smoke before continuing her awkward explanation, "Is this where Marcus Shipp lives?"

The butler bristled, a slight redness creeping up his neck.
"No, this is where the President of India lives. I said Marcus Shipp, and that's who bloody well lives here. And a member of the Guard, or the goddamn delivery girl, it makes no difference. If he wanted you to be here, he'd have given you something to show me to let you in to see him!"

"That was part of what I came to talk with you about, Marcus. I managed to survive the explosion because I have a certain gift that has proved very very useful." She walked towards him, "May I take a seat?" she asked, motioning to one of the chairs on the patio.

Rook took the keys, and lead Roxanna out to Jarred's SUV, twirling the keys around his finger as they walked.

Following Roxanna's directions to his home, they passed a girl on the street,((That'd be you, Kitsu.)) would have picked up on the profound thoughts of "Marcus Shipp this" and "Oh god, we might die" that, in order to give her something to go on, to further her goals, too.

Upon arrival at Marcus' home, and knocking on his door, they were greeted by an older man wearing a golf shirt, khakis, and a beret.
"Good morning, Miss Corey. Mister Shipp has been worried sick about you. And I see you have brought a body guard. Delightful, it will put him in the worlds of ease. Come in, come in!"

Katarina raised her head as the SUV drove past, picking out the details of where Marcus' house was located, muttering a soft curse. Once the SUV had disappeared from sight, she changed her stride to a full out run til she saw his house and slowed, stopping at the corner a block away from his mansion.

Glancing around, she went over to a fairly decent sized tree sitting down at the backside of it, facing away from Marcus' house, scanning through the peoples mental thoughts in the house til she came across the familiar one of who she'd gotten directions from following his thoughts to those of whom she was pretty sure was Marcus.

Marcus stood, offering her seat.
"Absolutly! And you, too! Take a seat, Mister...?"
"Rook. Mister Rook." Rook replied simply, taking the wrought iron chair that was offered to him.
"Before we continue, would either of you like anything to eat or drink?" HE offered, taking a seat across from the two, his hands open, palms up.

Though being taken off-guard, Olivia was not one to be insulted.

"Alright, first off, you said Mr Shipp. You never made mention of a first name, and who knows how many people there are on this island with the last name Shipp. Secondly, he gave me this-" she held the business card an inch from the man's eyes, "-so can I talk to him now? Cause I really need another smoke."

Olivia furrowed her eyebrows. She honestly had no idea where to go after that, or why she even needed to talk to Mr Shipp now that Roxanna walked right up to his front door, whatever; she'd got her victories where she could.

The Butler took the business card, noting Marcus' handwriting on the back, and gave it back to her.
"My apologies. I'll take you to the sitting room. He's talking with Miss Corey at the moment... But, I will let him know you are here, and have Lou collect you when he's done. You may smoke in there, and there's refreshments and a television, so make yourself at home."

Marcus took a deep breath, looking to face her.
"Well, to be honest, I was worried you'd think me mad if I told you why I was so worried after Nicholas was killed... His death... It couldn't have been you- It made no sense, simple as that. No motive, no want, no evidence linking it to you, just high society suspicion. Not a one of us can die without people thinking it was a vile second cousin or angry wife. However... After certain... Events in my own life, I began looking into other people having experienced some kind of change after the Phenomena. I found a handful of others, be it they themselves being strange, or through those around them being odd... Nicholas, in particular, was acting out of sorts, sometimes very erratic. Then he died. And several children vanished. All of which connected, in some way, to the Phenomena. So, when Nicholas was killed, I assumed it was connected to the disappearances around the island... When your house was destroyed, I feared the worse for you."

Roxanna nodded, folding her hands in her lap. "What sort of events in your own life, Marcus? I've had some odd moments myself lately the obvious aside. Have you found anything strange? An ability that would sound slightly crazy?"
