 Jay dropped her thoughts for a second and laughed along with Axl. "Yeah! But then again, everyone else went pretty early. Not sure how you missed Chris' wakeup call." Now she rolled her eyes. That annoying wakeup call. Ugh.
"Well, you should be happy to have missed breakfast. Crummy, stale cereal again." More suspicions. Why didn't he wake up on time? They went to sleep at around the same time... Unless he was doing something else... She shook her head, picking up an apple and taking a bite out of it. Chewing kept her mind clear.

 He looked sheepish. "I was too excited to sleep after our... talk. It was a while before I went to bed, and I uh, slept on the floor. Em fell asleep on my bed. I have no clue why... Butyeah. I guess I was way too tired to walk up."
He wrinkled his nose at the mention of the stale cereal. "I'm glad I missed that!"

So she was trying to tune everything out and Axl got stuck in the process. By the time she got her mind in gear all she heard was 'Em fell asleep on my bed'. Jay's eyes widened, then narrowed all in a second's time.
"Em did what?"

"Yeah, I dunno. I came back and she was asleep there." He looked a little bewildered. "I don't get why. But it was so late, and I didn't wanna wake anyone up looking for her bed, so I just slept on the floor."

"Oh.." Yeah. Exactly why Jay hated assumptions. But who was to say he was telling the truth? The fact stood that that girl was on Axl's bed yesterday. Why?
She'd solve that later... By herself... Instead, she broke out laughing, "damn, all this time you had me thinking I'd have to pound Em sooner or later!"

The little mention of what could be Jay's jealousy made Axl smile on the inside. Oh~ She did like him~ She did!
He laughed a bit. "Nah. Em seems to be pretty keen on Noel anyway. You're not jealous, are you~? Noel's got a new gal?"

Well, he didn't look too upset about Em and Noel. Thank god. She rolled her eyes and smirked at his next question sarcasm taking to her tone again, "oh, how'd you guess? I'm trying to hold in a flood of tears after seeing Em's hand in Noel's!"

Axl snickered a bit at that. "I'm a bit surprised, but meh. Em needed more friends. And that levels the competition for you~~"

Jay blinked. Why was he worried about Noel stealing her away? They were only best (kinda) friends and teammates. "Aw, that's sweet." She smiled, "and I don't have to worry about Em, then...?"

Well, that was comforting. Jay returned his grin, "that's good to know. Really."
She looked down at her plate, which was now accessorized with complimenting flies buzzing around the fruit and wrinkled her nose. "That walk we were talking about earlier... I think now'd be a good time to take it."

He looked down at the fly, wrinkling his nose. He was a little disappointed that she didn't return the sentiment, but it was okay.
"Sure. That sounds great. Where do you want to go?"

Jay bounced up off her seat, grabbing one of Axl's paws and bringing him up with her. "Hm, how about... The forest? I've only been there once and it was pretty boring. I honestly don't see what the big buzz about it is." She shrugged. "But it could get interesting, if I'm with you!"
