"Oh... that's, lovely..." Shef remarked, in the water himself for the sake of getting mud off. He was not going to skinny-dip or go commando, thank you very much.
((Brain still fried. Even with this bacon cheeseburger in my gut.))

[[A double-bacon cheeseburger would've done the trick, thank you very much. ]]
Kiki was not skinny-dipping, actually. Little did Shef know, she was in fact wearing a bikini of sorts. No, it was not made of coconuts, which is dissapointing to some. Kiki appeared out of the water a few feet away from Shef, meaning the water sat just at the bottom of her shoulders. Kiki herself was oblivious, so she really wasn't paying attention to Shef's twitchy little remark.

At least he wasn't being bothered by the bites any longer. Shef was staring goggle-eyed at what he thought he was seeing. Then Shef turned 'round and marched out of the water, and began following that cat. Cats always seemed better than half-monkey jungle-girls. Shef wondered to himself whether Tarzan was around.
Heh. Tarzan.
Shef laughed at his own brilliant joke.

[[ OH CHUCKLE CHUCKLE. YOU ARE SO FULL OF WIT. >_> ]]
Kiki shrugged, and watched quietly as He stomped into another anthill. Was he that hopeless? She sighed, and waded closer to shore as the water level dropped.Kiki tilted her head to the side, wondering why the others left her with this guy. Did they all want a break from his antics?

((Yes, chuckle chuckle. Shef happens to be a bit conceited, thank you. << ))
As Shef wandered away from Kiki (who may just be his temporal soulmate), following or attempting to follow that damn cat, he got lost. Again. Where the hell was Regond? Probably enjoying a worm, or something, for breakfast. Wait, don't owls eat rats? Not worms, that is true.
He's probably eating a worm anyway, Shef thought satisfactorily. He was lucky in that the thirteen anthills he had already plowed through were currently vacant, since the trip in the river. Try as he might, Shef could not find that infernal backpack, nor the chocolate within.
Although he wasn't thinking about it himself, if asked Shef would agree that the results of so much sugar entering the body of someone like Kiki would be simply disastrous. Annoying is the word Shef would have used, however.
Shef ducked under a large branch. These trees seemed to be getting larger, he reflected. Was it that-
Shef gasped at the sight he had come across. A giant dragon, wrestling with a... with Yemits, whatever he was. Calentine, Raye, and that other duo were standing on the sidelines, watching.
Calentine had been aware of both Shef and the spider-guy's approach, even though his back was to them. He was aware of everything, especially in Ether.
Instead of stopping to chat, however, Calentine suddenly bolted. He was up in the trees before anyone even realized it.
"Onstaan," Calentine said softly, knowing that his Guardian (and probably the other one, too) would hear. "I don't have time for this. When you're done mating with this turtle, find me in the Reimli."
Then Calentine was gone.
With a slight tinge of annoyance, given who had gotten him into this situation and who was now insulting him and leaving him, Onstaan ignored Calentine, but did pull away from the half-wrestle half-strangle he had been trying to inflict on Yemits.
"This fight is pointless," the dragon said. Both creatures were so massive that it was likely going to end up a stalemate... in a year or two. Onstaan was already tired of fighting. Not exhausted bodily, but lazy. "You are powerful. A good protector for the forest."
Onstaan, it seemed possessed a sense of nobility and respect for others.

Something thudded into the back of Narissa's neck, annoying her only slightly. The massive snake twisted around to look, observing that Falian and Reign seemed to still be out.
A backpack...? she thought. May be that boy's...
She curled her tongue around it, then pulled it into her mouth. She wouldn't eat it, not yet, but she was curious as to what was inside. Too bad she couldn't open it.
Then again, some people might call that nosy, she thought.
Oh well.
The water finally came into view and she carefully slid Reign and Falian off her back and onto a warm, smooth rock. The fins she had kept closely pulled against her body spread out as she entered the water.
Harlin took a brief moment to take in his surroundings, then slid off Damascus, watching as his Guardian went to take a drink of the cold water. Harlin himself squatted near the water's edge, eyeing the soft, dark soil curiously.

[[ It's up to you.]]
Kiki ignored Shef for now, and went back to her swimming. She lowered herself underwater and didn't appear back up for a few minutes.
When she did though, In her hand was an Ether-charged Rock. After rubbing off the mud, it glowed a dim yellow, Kiki gave it a bit of a charge-
[a foolish thing to do. It was like something her temporal soulmate might have done.]
and she threw it at the shore, the ground it landed on giving off a little shock to Harlin sitting by the area. Kiki bowed to them for the show and dissapeared again, reappearing later reattaching her precious clothing over her jungle swimsuit. NO, that is not a play on words, it was actually a swimsuit.
A few minutes after that ordeal, Kiki scaled up a tree, and started to skip around, looking for that backpack.

((Which would you prefer: Sarcastic, disrespectful, rebellious teenager or a spoiled six year old?)) Harlin eyed the rock curiously, noticing the small noises it made as small sparks went from it to the ground.
He didn't feel anything, not even a small prickle at the back of his neck that indicated static electricity.
Mr. Ander was wearing rubber-soled shoes and he was squatting. Not kneeling or sitting, only the balls of his shoes touching the soil. Therefore, no shock.
He took a good sized stone from the edge of the riverbed and threw it at Kiki. Or, rather, where she last disappeared into the forest. He'd thrown it hard and, had she been there still, would have hit her square on the shoulder.

Shatter the thoughts that reign supreme.
With a reigning light, a powerful gleam.
Shatter the freedom that comes with the sky... ((Lol. True.)) The white cat looked over at Shef. "Oh, you were watching too?" It asked. It turned to leave again. "C'mon. The others are waiting!" Queenie looked around with an annoyed eye as Floreta lingered nearby, encase something else popped out of the forest. "MARINA!" She bellowed to the trees. "MARINA! COME ON! WE'RE LEAVING!" The white cat jumped slightly, quickening its pace. "C'mon, c'mon!" She - apparently Marina - snapped over her shoulder, leaping around rocks and logs as she headed towards her Guardian. You know death has come when time is an eye.

"OW!"
A voice screamed from the forest. Someone had hit kiki in the shoulder, with a rock. She glared, and crouched from her position on the treebranch. Kiki tried to glance through the trees at this culprit, but she decided to exact her revenge later. Idiot and the white cat were sitting on a few rocks near her, and below her. Well, the cat seemed to be going off, so she may as well follow it. Seeing as she was sort of their guide of the forest now, since not many knew it as well as her, Kiki felt obligated to be with this group from now on.
She slid down a vine, and gave Shed or whatever his name was a small electrical shock in the waist before scaling up a tree trunk and jumping from tree to tree, following Queenie.

((It took me until the song below had played twice to type everything below the song.)) Shef glanced over when he was shocked and wasn't even surprised to see Kiki was the culprit. With a tired sigh, he strode back into the forest, following a cat, with Kiki overhead. *timeskip* Shef arrived and glanced out at the water. It truly was, the River Nanne. Earlier, he and Kiki had been in a small tributary, only a fraction of the width of such a river. That had been almost too big to see the other side. The Nanne itself, truly magnificent and awe-inspiring, stretched farther than the eye could see--and this was only the beginning of the vast, colossal body of water. FFX - A Fleeting DreamIt deepened almost immediately from shallows to being impossible to stand. The water eddied and swirled, and silver and rainbow-colored fish darted through its depths. The Nanne was, of course, fresh water, and crystal clear for meters down. You could not see the horizon on the other side. A cool breeze came off the river's surface, not nearly as icy as the water below it, and refreshed all from long and weary hiking. On the other side of the river was the Riemli, the great sequoia plains as such. A lone bridge, built by giants long ago legends claim, stretched across the water into the distance, disappearing eventually from view. It was a stone bridge, adorned not at all, inelegant in every way. It rose five feet above the water's surface, and spanned eight feet across. Although it could not be seen from here, in the very center of the river the bridge rose in a cascade of steps to ten yards above the surface. It then descended after fifty yards of flat bridge, back to its original height of five feet above the water. This was for the passage of vessels. But there were no sea-going vessels most of the time. No humans lived in Ether for the most part, ever. The clouds above were white and soft against a chilly, endless blue sky. There was no sun visible, but light was plentiful. Shef whistled. This river was larger than any other he had even heard of on Earth. This he knew.

((Just to-note: The timeskip was only because I didn't want five posts on how they were walking through the forest. I assumed that all the others were already at the Nanne crossing, since they were 'sitting on the river edge.' Now Shef, Kitty and Kiki are with you! ^_^))
