"Of course it will be," Feng replied, "You just need time to get use to it that's all."

She could never imagine the sort of problems Ruran had, but then again how could she?

"All your other siblings seem to be settling in, and eventually they'll call this place their home."

Ruran snorted. "Sure, but only in name. What does that mean?"

He plucked a blade of grass and held it up to show her. "If I call this a tree, that doesn't make it one. It's grass, no matter what you call it." He tossed the blade of grass away again and glared once more. "Just because they call it home, doesn't mean that we belong here. Whether we get used to it doesn't matter. It can't be a home to us."

"Ah... but that's where you're wrong, comparing grass and a tree isn't the same," Feng replied wagging a finger, "Home is where you think you belong, not where you belong. If you think that place is your home, then it is your home. We chose where we belong."

It made her wonder about Ruran really, wonder why he thought the way he did.

Ruran scowled in disgust. "You're just as stupid as the rest of them," he snarled. "We don't choose where to belong. There's a place for the races. This place is for elves. There's another place for humans. But there's no place for those who are neither of their kind."

"Actually these are the Borderlands technically they're not owned by any of the races... it's just humans choose not to live here," Ryu corrected Ruran.

He couldn't help it, the boy's attitude was annoying him. Greatly.

Feng paused for a moment so that was the problem... but she still couldn't understand how or why he came to think like that.

"Ruran, there's no law that says you have to be full elf to belong," Feng told him, "Or full human for that matter. In fact, I have a sister who feels that she belongs here, among the elves even though she's not elven at all."

Ruran frowned. "Well maybe she does belong here, then," he shrugged. "They're both weak races. What does it matter? Bunch of idiots, no matter how you look at it."

He wrung some water out of his shirt, muttering about stupid people not making sense.

Without warning and much to the surprise of Ryu because his hand was already twitching Feng promptly whacked Ruran upside the head.

"You will not call my friends or my family weak or stupid," Feng told Ruran firmly, "It's not their fault you're too foolish to see what is before you. We tried to be nice."

"Well... you tired to be nice," Ryu muttered.

Feng gave Ryu a look before turning her attention back to Ruran, "Is this how you want to live your life? Alone? There is no one here who would care about who your parents are. Do you really want to be miserable for the rest of your life?"

Ruran wasn't much surprised by the slap, nor did it hurt him very much: he jumped to his feet, still soaking wet, and faced off against Feng.

"I don't care what you say!" he said furiously, hands clenching into fists. "The only thing that matters is strength! And no one here is strong! You're all just a bunch of idiots who all think everything's all right when it isn't! This whole world is messed up!"

Feng suddenly had a little Nina voice in her head saying something about i the whole world is messed then it must be right, or something along those lines. She was about to say something when Ryu's voice cut in.

"Forget it Feng," Ryu muttered, "Just leave him be, anyone who thinks strength is the only thing that matters won't understand until you beat him."
"Ryu!"
Her brother didn't seemed brother, instead he raised a brow, "Isn't that true Ruran? You don't like it that people walk away from fighting with you, you don't like it that people would accept you just for you who are, you don't simply like the idea that physically strong people can live peacefully, the only way you'd accept anyone is strong is if they hit you, give you what you want and show the same type of hatred and anger you show them."

He didn't seem to blink at Ruran only stare.

"Come on Feng, besides he's making Naida upset," Ryu looked away from the boy and focused on his sister.

"You think you know everything!" Ruran yelled, stamping his foot angrily. "But you don't! Because you're just stupid like everyone else is! Well fine! You go ahead and be like that! Because nobody cares!"

And he turned on his heel and started running away.

"Ryu....." Feng murmured as Ruran ran off, "You shouldn't have done that. It's not like he hates everyone.. or at least... I think it was misdirected."

She looked up at her brother as he was helping her to her feet.

"Feng, that boy either needs a solid punch in the gut or something life changing before he's going to see what is in front of him all this time," Ryu replied, "As if the fact he is the only one who holds these views isn't problematic enough."

"Still..." she murmured, "Maybe we should get Celebor? I mean, he shouldn't be running off like that," she turned heel and headed to where she was sure Celebor would be during this time of day, "And he might actually get sick in those clothes."

Ryu shrugged, really he had a good amount of patience but in his short time he's known Ruran it had been running very short. He found the little boy disturbing, annoying and utterly stubborn. Yet he followed his sister quietly to where they knew Celebor would be.

Celebor had just finished off breakfast with Ulani, Ulrich, and the rest of his family, and was just preparing to leave with Ulrich to head out for more trees for the new house that had to be built. But as he left the house, he saw Feng and Ryu approaching - and they didn't look happy. A sense of foreboding stole over him as they drew nearer, and his brow furrowed anxiously.

"Are you two all right?" he asked them worriedly.

"Oh, we're fine," Feng waved it off trying to assure her nephew, "It's just we're worried about Ruran. It looked like he fell into the river, but he sort of ran off..."

Well rather she didn't want to say Ryu upset Ruran because then Celebor would get upset, mainly because chances were Ruran had said something yet again (which wasn't far from the truth to begin with).

Celebor sighed. "I wish I could say this is strange for him," he frowned, "but unfortunately ... he's always been like this. Though ... he's been worse since we came here."

He rubbed his forehead tiredly. "Do you have any idea which way he went?" he asked. "Though it may be better to leave him alone for a while ..."

Ryu pointed off in one direction he knew Ruran had been running in at the time, though it was hard ot tell if the boy changed direction or not after they left.

"That way," he replied.
Feng chewed on her lower lip, "I think maybe you should go after him. I don't know, but I also think he got into a fight with someone earlier, unless he just fell into the river."
