Random Weekly Event 5) Feeding Frenzy:
Thanks to the recent scorpion population booms, lots of primo scorpion meat has hit the market, effectively driving the price down on it but making it plentiful. So you know what it means when there is plenty of food around, EATING CONTEST!
Rules: The player will be put in different divisions based upon their rank. They must perform Constitution Checks(Pure Constitution + 1 D20) vs. the DC to see how far they go in the contest. You must pass so many rounds to get any of the reward. Each round, you suffer a -2 compounded to your check due to your stomach being more and more full.
Gennin- 20 DC / 4 Rounds Minimal
Chunnin- 30 DC / 5 Rounds Minimal
Jounin- 60 DC / 6 Rounds Minimal
ANBU- 70 DC / 7 Rounds Minimal
Kage- 100 DC / 8 Rounds Minimal
Other: *Concentration is the key to this. For every 10 points in Concentration, add 1 to your Constitution check.
*You have may fail 3 times without having to restart. After the 3rd fail, you have to start over from round 1.
Special: For every round past the basic requirement passed, receive +5 additional exp but suffer -4 DC compounded each round.

Shuiro was practically bouncing on her toes. It was time for another meat eating contest. This meant several things. First, it was free food. Second, she knew she could win. And third... winning meant a prize. Sitting down, she got herself started as soon as she heard the bell.
1d20: 18+32+8= 58
One plate was down quickly, and the next was comming towards her. She had finished long ebfor eeveryone else and was waiting for them to finish. Her stomach still growled. I guess I have an appetite, eh? Shinobi work keeps a girl in shape.
1d20: 16+32+8(-2)= 54
Finishing another plate, she was, once again, done before other. She was now almost in her satisfied state. She remembered one of the people eating described the meat as 'finger lickin' good' She wasn't sure if she'd use that term, but it was tastey. Now for another batch.
1d20: 2+32+8(-4)= 38
Alright, she was bit over satified and about to head into full mode. She took her time with this platter as well. AFter all, szhe wanted to savor it and well as keep room for more. She was goinng to win this after all. She had no doubts about that.

With a heavy sigh, she rubbed the small bulde that her stomach was becomming. She would have to run laps after this to work it off... that was for sure. ANother plate came around... she couldn't resist. She was already digging into it.

Taking up another plate, Shuiro continued to eat, but... for soem reason, she couldn't finish it as fast as before. She was starting to feel pains in her gut. Alright, I'll take it slower then... no problem...
1d20: 1+32+8(-12)= 29(auto fail)
Rubbing ehr stomach gently, she took small bites at a time and was able to clean her plate once more. This was a relief to her, after all... she didn't want to get left behind. Especially after she told herself she would win. Loosing would not do...
1d20: 14+32+8(-12)= 42
She was taking it slowly once more. Small bites and chewed well, that was two of the keys to continue eating even when she was feeling bloated. After all, she didn't know when her next meal was going to be.
1d20: 10+32+8(-16)= 34
WIth another plate clean she was going to aim for finishing one more. She felt like she was about to burst already, but she wanted to do it, just to prove she could. If she could prove that to herself, it would be telling her that despite the pain she could keep going... though to others it would say that she just wanted to be a pig.
1d20: 7+32+8(-20)= 27
Bite after bite, the plate slowly cleared away... Chewing was almost painful at this point, but she kept going. Eventually the plate was soon empty of scorpion meat and she managed to get to her feet to leave. She had made it through.

Sakeme was just wanderinga round when the scent of scorpion meat right off the grill caught her senses. Wndering towards it with a bit of a hungry expression, she realized it was another stinking contest. She was bout to turn to leave when her arm was grabbed and thus she was forced to sit next to other contestants.
1d20: 6+24+3= 33
Almost as if she were in a hurry to leave, despite her general lazy nature, she hurried on the food eating so she could get out of there. She figured it shouldn't take too long, right? Just a few rounds and she would be fine?
1d20: 13+24+3(-2)= 38
She was still packing it in, plate after plate and all that good stuff. She just wanted top get done... but how many freaking rounds were there to this thing? She could ahve sworn it was longer than the last one. But then again, she was hungry then.
1d20: 8+24+3(-4)= 31
Groaning somehwta, she knew she was getting full. She could have been on bloated already if she hadn't been eating so much lately. It would all be fine though, she knew she could take it. She had gotten past the normal rounds before. So, why couldn't she now?

Another place was placed before her. Looking down on it, she groaned and took a bite. She felt the meat inside her churn uncomfortably... She might just get sick... That wasn't going to be fun... not at all.

Slow, tiny bites were taken from this plate. Her body continued to protest it, however. She knew she should probably stop, but she had to finish the round. She couldn't just stop in the middle of soemthing... it was evil.

Sadly, she felt like she couldn't take another bite. So, this time, she raised a hand in submission and left the contest., Hopefully she wouldn't get dragged into the next one... but who knew... she had a feeling she would anyways.

Shadow had happen to hear about an event around town, he was bouncing on his toes to see what it was! The past few times he had felt unlucky, first he had to waste all that delicious food, and then that acting gig... He was never an actor, and he tried to rehearse for that little play, unfortunately the director called him out and made him cry. But he was just going to tell people he was to awesome for that play. Oh yes, no more acting, and no more pigging out! Things were turning around! Shadow opened the doors excited to see what all the commotion was about. He found himself face to face with people swallowing food, not even taking a second to appreciate it. Shadow's jaw dropped at the sight, the food was being so under appreciated...
No words were said, no actions were done. Shadow just watched for a moment. And then as silently as he walked up, he left the dome. No... Never again....

It had came again. This wretched eating contest. It was like a party for the gluttons of the village. The only reason Rai did this was because it was on orders. He would post up, taking the same place as last time. And when the bell went off, he would start doing what he was supposed to. Stuffing his face. And by the time it was over, he was surprised. He wasn't stuffed like the last time this contest was around.

Raisuke really was going to have a dislike for this scorpion meat. It was horrible tasting. He would have rather ate flavorless noodles in water for the rest of his life then to have this as a regularly consumed meal. But on any case he would also have to eat his way through this round. Knowing he wasn't finished yet.

Rai was doing a little better then the last time. But at the same time he was starting to get full. This scorpion meat was unbearable on top of that. He would get his whole portion down for this round of the contest. But he was getting slower and losing his lead on the contestants. It was just as well. Winning this would just show that he could eat more then someone else.. Not the sport of a teenage boy. This was a hobby for a fat old man.

The bell signaling the final round would sound now. And Raisuke was just fighting to choke down this food. He was hunched over like he was about to lose consciousness. It was starting to hurt his stomach. He leaned back, he was done. He wasn't first nor last. But he felt as if he was going to die from all that food. This sport was for gluttons and that wasn't Rai.

2)Ore Rush
Apparently, not all the veins of ore and precious metal in the mountains were completely drained. Someone found a strong supply in one of the old abandoned mines on (insert mountain name). Everyone’s getting in on the cash...why aren't you?
Rules: Using an axe pick provided by the mining society, the user must mine for items. The user rolls 2 20 sided dice. The first one is to see how much further the wall can be pushed till it breaks. The user will have to do multiple rolls (in separate posts) to add up to the DC for that wall. Each post can have as many rolls as attack turns that character has.
The second one is to see what item you gain. Different items give different payouts. The user must go through 5 walls before they can say they are done. You can do up to 10 walls. The DC is comprised of 1D20 + str mod + 5(for pick axe).
Gennin DC - 20 + 5 for each new wall
Chunnin DC - 30 + 5 for each new wall
Jounin DC - 70 + 10 for each new wall
ANBU DC - 80 + 10 for each new wall
Kage DC - 120 + 20 for each new wall
The payouts for the 2nd D20 are as follows:
Odd numbers you gain nothing
2, 4, 6, 8: you get high grade coal = 5 Ryo
10, 12, 14: you get silver ore = 10 Ryo
16, 18: you get gold ore = 25 Ryo
20: you get a rough diamond = 50 Ryo
Other: *When you complete one wall and move to the next, any points OVER the DC for the last wall carry over.
*If you roll a 1 at ANY time on a wall, the wall 'collapses' and you must start again on another wall at that same DC but with no points accumulated.
*If you collapse 3 walls, you fail the event and get nothing.
Restrictions: No weapons, tools, Ninjutsu or Genjutsu
Special: *If the user forgoes using the pick axe and decides to use taijutsu instead, they must take a damage equal to str mod however, all rewards for this activity are increased by 1.5 times rounded up.
*If you run out of HP through this method, you fail the event and get nothing but you may try again but you have to start from scratch.
*You are allowed only 1 Rest post per 3 working posts.

Shuiro heard about another gathering at the mines, and figuring she could train a bit more without her sight, because her static pulse magnetized her to walls and whatnot. What she really wanted was the rewards. She loved collecting the ore and various other treasures liek the time before. She could still remember what the different types felt like in her hands.
Heading for the mines she shut off her pulse and wandered into the darkness. Upon reaching a desired wall to punch through, she gave it a few good whacks and waited for the rocks to crumble to the ground before sifting through it. Searching around, she was lucky to find herself a nice diamond... She'd have to trade it in later.
DC: 30

HP: 350-13= 337

Travelling down a cavern, she found a nice spot. Breaking down this wall didn't take long either, and there was a nother good wall next to it. Sifting through the shattered remains once more, she was only able to scrounge up some low grade coal... typical...
